The Land of Ghosts

Streams of red laser fire crashed into the building, sending bits of debris in every which way. Cedric ducked his head as a few blasts from the assault cannon exploded into the wall just above his head. He mumbled a curse under his lips as he reached out into the empyrean, sensing the life force of the legionaries fighting all around him.

Coming to Dosuun was beginning to prove itself to be a rather bad idea, but no one had died yet. The handful of refugees they had managed to ferry toward defensive centers was enough of a testament to the Sons of Ession's reason for being there as anything else, though truly it was the salvage and forgotten data banks that had attracted the legion to this world.

Cedric's cyan blade carved a bloody path through a handful of the Ssi-ruuvi that drew to close. The monstrous lizards fell in several steaming pieces, their comrades having fallen back to avoid incurring the Jedi Master's wrath. They fought in the center of one of the planet's tertiary cities: Cedric was keen on evacuating as many civilians as he could before the beast men could use them for living fuel.

The planet of Dosuun was in utter chaos. Since the First Order had become weakened, they had lost control, and all hell broke lose here. But that is also the reason Gray had come to this planet. He had taken a job offered to him by e fellow member of the Outer Rim Coalition to get to Dosuun, and try to get as many civillians as he could out of there. They had first thought of trying to recruit the planet instead, but given the chaos that had erupted, it was deemed best to just evacuate the citizens.

But that had sounded much easier then it was. Having arrived on planet just a few hours earlier, Gray had already gotten his share of it. After ten minuttes, he had already had to dodge falling pieces of a building. Now, he wasn't sure how many blaster shots or building parts it had been. It seemed most of the citizens were just trying to flee without much thought, which made it harder to get them to his ship or any safe places where they could be picked up later. And the only thing currently keeping him there, was the money that had been promised him.

Gray was currently sitting behind cover, trying to shot those attacking him. There had been seven people he had managed to talk into going to his ship and wait for him to return, the rest he had met had either not believed him or just run off before he could talk. To say the least, this had not been a good day. But an opening arrived. A new building was shot, raining debris over his attackers, giving Gray the chance to run. To where, he wasn't sure. But it seemed he had chosen a good direction. In front of him, about 100 meters away, he could see someone else fighting some lizard-people. Gray began running towards the man in armor fighting them, hoping he was an ally. "Hey, you there. Need-" Gray began, but quickly stopped what he was saying when he saw what the man used to fight. A lightsaber. Kriff, he thought.
