Luke will forever be my favourite Jedi and Star Wars character. This was a really well-done tribute and I look forward to seeing him again in Episode 8. ^_^

It's too bad that Episode 7 totally ruined Luke Skywalker's character for me. Luke, the character who would literally drop everything and go to any end, even to the point of short-sightedness, to help his friends and save his family. We're supposed to believe that he simply disappeared for decades because his Jedi Academy failed. The character who was the embodiment of heroic sacrifice and loyalty, is perfectly content to sit back and let his creation wreak havoc across the galaxy and abandon his friends and family because sadface feels.

Watch as the character of Luke Skywalker is completely destroyed by one line of dialogue.

Yer but now they have added a thing where jedi can take a oath of self exile if they want nothing to do with the jedi order and don't do anything no matter what happens in the galaxy. Basically JJ Abrams way of saying totally make scene we put it in a comic so its all cool.

Maybe we we find out in Last Jedi that there is more to it. Maybe he's been working on something to put an end to Snoke and/or the Sith for good.
