The Last of a Set (Omega Protectorate, Open)

Sullust. The kind of planet where mining town meets trade city meets industrial center. It was the place ore went to be shipped to the far reaches of the galaxy or to be refined into more readily usable materials. Gems and crystals and precious metals made their way here and to other planets as well. It was the hub of all things mined and processed. Here, you could find anything that could be pulled out from the dirt with pickax, shovel, or mining machine.

You could also find very special crystals, too.

That was why Reine was here. Lignan ore came through here on its way to the galaxy, stopping here for processing and reshipment. This was also the place where one could find the semi-rare Lignan Crystals. Special lightsaber stones that, when in use, used the lightsaber's power cell more efficiently and, if rumor was true, made the 'saber burn hotter and potentially cut faster. The Miralukan didn't care much if the rumors were true, but she knew the value of a more efficient lightsaber and a longer use time. It could mean the difference between an effective weapon and a dead Sith. She wanted one.

And so she walked the streets of Sullust on her way to a known Lignan Ore refinery. She'd do what she needed to obtain the crystal she desired, within reason of course. She'd do her best to avoid killing anyone today. A bounty on her head would only complicate matters while in Protectorate space...

Balgruf's reputation had finally grown he had been hired by someone to raid the big planet of Sullust. It was odd though, the employer did not give his/her name, and what there objective was. It did not matter though , the big, muscular Valkyri would fight regardless ; the crew knew the drill which was to hyperspace in with the fast craft , and to hyperspace out when the heat was to much. The ship entered the outskirts of the big planet, military presence was huge here in Protectorate space! How could fifty men alone take thousands upon thousands of soldiers and ships? With the clans Crust they would surely be spotted and then fired upon for piracy, Balgruf had to think quickly before this happened. While his ship may be quick, and he has a good crew Balgruf needed an exit strategy, what could be the best option with the best victory?

The military presence around Sullust was indeed staggering. As one of the most important worlds to the Protectorate, due to its shipyards and manufacturing capabilties, Sullust rated only slightly below FLEETCOM worlds on defense. However, despite the sheer numbers of military capital ships and fighter squadrons that patrolled the system, there was one small flaw that could never be covered.

They weren't on the look out for a single enemy ship, not one so small.

It would be impossible to scan every single ship that came in to the system. Lines would be backed up for days, the local economy would collapse, and it would be far too much work for little to no benefit. So nothing would be done to one ship, unless it opened fire on Protectorate assets. In the meantime, the local military forces continued to do their patrols and go about their business, oblivious to the potential danger that resided within one of the ships in the system.

Carden is a bounty hunter on the planet Sullust board out of his mind he cant leave because of the fear of the constant millitary patrols and he needed a ship anyway. So he decided to go rest mabie find some of that rare crystals he has been hearing about. But where he thought, or he might just raid the supply ships and risk getting caught every time he raids a docked ship the foreman always trys to get him, mabie he'll have a little fun on his next raid.

After hours of analyzing the fleet one weakness was seen, it seemed the fleet was not looking for the notorious Valkyri. This was good ,without a moments pause the ship started it's entry into the atmosphere. Every warrior was amazed with the new landscape, even Balgruf was surprised ; none of them had seen the lava. There was one worry the Space Vikings saw, there species were not used to humid environments such as these. The longest they could fight would maybe be one day at most, obviously Balgruf was not planning to have such a long fight considering they would have to attack very quickly and then escape right afterwards. But, in the future when the chieftain would have more troops it will be a good reference to remember. The brute would target G'rinn Go city, this was were the market place was, the Corvette landed right in the center of its huge market place, from their it's turrets opened fire ravaging the structures around the menacing ship, this was when the barbaric, fearsome warriors dismounted ,hacking and slashing multiple security officers on the way to the city's treasury. Balgruf had Ripped in half one security guard who was stupid enough to get in his way, with just his bare hands. The berserker meant business, no one was stopping his clan from looting the district of the city. Balgruf then lifted his great war axe from his back joining the rest of his men who had already started picking their own targets on their way to the bank. Blood was being spilt, hopefully this was enough to allow his men to have fair share of money passed around from this job. His men would have to hustle though before soldiers arrived, immediately Balgruf Lothbrok called " Shield Wall! " before the men could go on their own the all rallied with him marching to the bank.

Carden was sitting on a bench when he saw the huge ship land killing many people but he barely glanced at the people who died by the time he looked back he saw the group getting into formation Carden was interested in the clan and decided to stalk them

The Miralukan casually walked into the Lignan refinery, avoiding ore haulers, filthy workers, and soot covered droids as she did so. She didn't mind the soot and such, but she'd rather avoid it if possible, which meant dodging what she could.

Inside the refinery all manner of machines, droids, and workers labored. Ore was melted down and processed and the finished products stacked, sorted, and shipped off. It was an interesting spectacle, but ultimately a distraction. She was here for more than just refined ore. Crystals were what she desired and she wasn't leaving without one.

"Are you who I speak to about purchases?" she asked one of the workers sitting behind a counter inside the refinery. He sat in a small room on the other side of a wall and leaned on the dirty counter before him with a dull expression on his face. In short, business was apparently slow, though he nodded slightly at her question, no doubt more than a bit distracted at her appearance. "Good. I was informed this place sold Lignan Ore and Lignan Crystals? Is this correct?"

As she waited, the mercenaries she'd hired would be causing the ruckus she'd paid them to cause. Whether they lived or died was of no concern to her, only that they pulled enough attention away from her entirely. In this way, she'd appear only as a random Miralukan woman doing some more or less industrial grade shopping and would be very, very unlikely to appear anywhere on Protectorate records as anything but a normal civilian.

Carden could tell from the formation that these Valkyri had fought many battles together the unit advanced quickly in a tight formation. The security guards could not match against there shield formation the men where extremely fast for their size ,and simply put : plowed through the guards like a freshman first starting out in football. Only one shot was fired, which slightly wounded one of Balgruf's men in the left leg. This was ok, if the big brute had too he would surely carry one of his own back, when the bank was broken into it seemed more men had landed, this time seasoned soldiers. For the first time, Balgruf would have to call a strafing run to buy the men more time to secure the riches from the bank, hopefully it would be enough. The strafing run shocked all the rapscallions gathering their riches, it was an amazing sound that excited the men even more. Balgruf knew what that sound was though, it was the sound of the two scout fighters taking out the heavily armed Omega Protectorate soldiers. The screams made all of the Valkri howl with bloodlust for more battle, Balgruf could not risk his men yet though. He said as the men pleaded for more destruction with a firm commanding voice in his tounge " Men, we will have a chance to again raid these karking cowards but not today, right now we need to get the fortune we came here for! We earned it! Kill these worms hiding under their desks get your riches and lets get back on that ship move!" Once the money was gained all the bank employees were killed in order to leave an impression before they were all about to haul ass out of there. They would come back later, with better equipment, and weapons too.

Carden decided the lady could wait when he started to hear the screams of the people he ran along the streets until he was on the road where the clan was standing barley touched. "So you womprats have been causing trouble to these people" he said loudly to the clan "not good at all bloodshed when not needed you could just intimidate these low life's for salvage not kill them." He was furious when talking to the clan.

Suddenly a puny armored human squeaked with fury at the fifty one big, bulky, and muscular brutes. Was the man looking for a death? " Men! Get to the ship! I wont be long." The barbarians left their massive, huge, muscular leader alone with the idiot. It would definitely be an easy one on one fight, " Cowards deserve to die, the gods do not like them. If these people refuse to fight for their land why should I let them live? When I have enough power , this planet will know my wrath like any others. Many pathetic wastes of space died today . You have guts, but you are honestly stupid if you think you can face any one of my men alone, or myself."The Viking paused "our whole lives we have waged war. What have you done? Now ,I have somewhere to be before I get crushed by overwhelming numbers of soldiers , they are probably deploying as we speak. When you are ready to be a real man, and fight me with your fist's instead of your words then we'll talk" Clan Lothbrok made an entrance that would soon go bad, soldiers where advancing at his position and blaster fire roared. The newfound feared ship took off just in time to escape, with it's speed it only took one hit from the volley of the massive fleet. The crew had an outstanding raid that will scare the whole galaxy, a new terror is coming.

"Hmm where are you going" he followed the bosses movments and called to him "stupid? Im smart compared to your band of vikings and you but for now I have other matters to attend oh by the way there will soon be a bounty on your head" he said and then ran off into a crowd.

A few minutes later, the ore and the crystal, which cost a hefty price, were in Reine's possession. A Lignan crystal. The only one they had. The third crystal for her lightsaber. Finally. With this and the other two crystals she needed, she could begin construction of her lightsaber. At least, once the hilt materials were in place.

The Miralukan left the refinery then and headed east, away from the brief fighting and wreckage caused by the raiding party. Overall, this trip had been successful and more or less uneventful. Now, it was just a matter of getting off world without issue...

Hehe there she is night as well catch up with her, he ran and detoured until he was right ahead of her. "Hello ma'am ive noticed you have purchased a few crystals very rare ones now that ive got your attention im Carden and ive been stalking you when you bought the crystals now may I ask what are they for? " he took off his helmet and looked her in the eyes he thought hehe a nineteen year old on a planet like this who knew.

Reine simply turned and looked at the man that had caught up to her. Underneath her blindfold, she cocked an eyebrow.

"Crystals? I bought some ore samples," she stated bluntly and pulled out a chunk of Lignan ore. It was simple stone and mineral, nothing more, nothing less. "I'm looking around and might do business with the places out here more often. I wanted to make sure they could provide me what I wanted. Now, if you'll excuse me."

With that, she hopped on a nearby tram and let the door shut behind her. The last thing she needed was a hyped up bounty hunter following her around. Next stop, the spaceport and off planet. She had work to do.

[member="Carden Lorps"] (OOC: Hey, keep in mind to read other folks' posts before yours. I was inside an enclosed building at the time of purchase while you were outside. No harm, no foul, but try to read the previous entries so you don't metagame on accident next time :p )

Sorry Ma'am I guess I misread :(

Before he could say another word she hopped on the tram and left.

"Crap... now I have to wait for the next tram to get up there..." he said aloud
He was determined to get to this lady he did not know why but Somthing suspicious about her impressed Carden.

Stepping off the tram, Reine quickly made her way into the space port. Glancing back, she could spot the next tram out in the distance and decided that now was a good time to leave. She'd avoided the bounty hunter earlier, but through her Force Sight, she thought she spotted him again in the coming tram.

She quickly found the next outbound starship and purchased passage. She boarded the small ship and took her seat as the outer hatch closed and sealed shut. As the pilot went over the usual pre-flight procedures and the like, the Miraluka glanced at the destination planet for the ship. Muunilinst. Not quite where she wanted to go, but not too far off the mark either. It'd do...
