The Library on Ossus (The Republic/Pm for invite)

Holocrons. Shelves and shelves and bookcases filled with holocrons. It was a fantastic place for any young mind to learn. The library of the Jedi was filled with holocrons that date back to Ossus before and during the war against Exar Kun and the Jedi Civil War, as well as those more recent.

She knew she had to be mindful of what she learns, as such knowledge comes with great responsibility. The last thing Moira wanted to do was to put her comrades in danger or worse, get them killed. She went and got a holocron. The best way to learn right now, was to start with ancient history. She viewed the holocron, it was the about the war versus Exar Kun. Her eyes fixated as she watched it. This was her favorite passtime.

This day was one of the more boring days at the academy, Uri usually spent this time in meditation in the gardens but he found it harder and harder to meditate since the recent events. Instead he found himself in the great library sitting at a table with a group of younglings shushing them as they giggled. He originally came to the library to read Mandolorian poetry. Mandolorian poetry was a required study for Padawans at the Jedi academy on Coruscant back in the time before Grandmaster Skywalker or at least that is what his master told him once. Instead he was reading an epic poem. Adasha-Ve. Definitely not Mandolorian but it held Uri's attention until the youngling required entertainment.

"You're going to get us in trouble!" Uri whispered to the three younglings in front of him. A Twe-lik, Bothan and Human. A grin curved onto his face as he spoke. The children covered their mouth but continued to giggle anyway. Uri placed his coin in the middle of the table holding the edges in both hands. "Now gently. Ready?" He twisted his hands sending the coin in a gentle spin. After it started spinning, the padawans attacked trying to blow the coin toward Uri. Uri countered by blowing it toward them the object of the game being to get the coin closer to the opponent before it fell over. Uri wanted to believe that he was teaching the youngling something by this exercise. Patience maybe? The truth being that it was just for fun. Uri believe that younglings should still be allowed fun every now and again among the studying.

She had no issue with playing a little, sometimes she enjoyed it. Yet, at this time it slightly annoyed her. She had just gotten to a really interesting part when the quartet started their game, and he rattling of the coin was hindering her concentration. While she knew this was a trial, she also wanted to learn history. She angled her hand and used Force Pull to confiscate the coin, and moved the holocron back a little to pause and recap what she missed. "Please refrain from such childish activities inside the library. It is rather rude to disrupt someone's studies."

The next thing that happened was a Force Push that would launch the coin at Uri's arm, only to get his attention, not to inflict pain. "I understand the need of play time, but this is not the time or place." And with that she stood and relocated, playing the holocron once more. She eventually made it to its respective case and file. When it finished she returned the holocron to its file and researched the Mandalorian Wars.

Shakk was allowed to take a look through the library to study the healers of the old republic. She loved that part of history, the stories that her father would tell her about there ancestors participation in the Mandalorian Wars. The stories of how the Jedi were formidable enemy's to his clan and how the Sith minipulated them. These stories were fascinating to her and when she learned of her force abilities she had to follow the legend of the Jedi. She had not seen many Sith or Jedi with her father but the few wounded that came across the Medical Station she called home.

Now she stood in a library full of them, some younger then her, any older. She asked the guide that was to acompany her if she could look through the holodata of the Clone Wars. This was the era that many of the prominent Jedi Healers were recorded. As the guide nodded she exploded with exsitment. The library's of the Medical station were filled with herbalist guides and medical text, but records of healers were out of her reach. Here though she could exspore till her guide asked her to return.

She went through the archives to search for the needed material, she came across some younglings and padawans talking. The two padawans seemed to have a deep conversation about dissapline. As she listened she realized that she was carrying five books that she could take her time to read, but she couldn't wait. As there was an empty seat near them she walked up and spoke.

"Umm-- C-C-Can I possible s-sit here." She was unbelievably shy around them, beside the guide and the represinative, there were the first Jedi she's spoken to. They had a presence that Shakk could feel, yet she couldn't understand what this feeling was. She realized this feeling deeper and felt the vibrations under her skin. Not painful, but neither pleasant, this plainly confused her as she shyly looked at the table unable to make eye contact with even the younglings.

Uri's eyes followed the coin as it flew from the table. Shocked at first then his eyes fixed on a girl who looked angry. She couldn't have been much older than he was. Her use of the force worried him. The force was unstable at the moment. He saw first hand why. Before he could tell her the coin came back and hit him in the shoulder just hard enough to bounce off he could have used his jedi reflexes to catch it but he chose not to. Instead in this moment the Bothan youngling mumbled a rude name under his breath. Uri turned his attention from the girl to the youngling and scolded him for the name calling. As he looked up again, the girl had left and was replaced instead by another. He could tell she wasn't use to speaking first.

"Yeah please sit," Uri moved over making room for her at their table. "I'm Uri. These three are Alema, Kolir and Beck. They are also getting back to their studies." Uri gave them a stern look before they groaned and went back to their material.

The Bothan had been speaking huttese. "Schutta..."

Moira had smiled and looked to the boy. "Such terms are best kept to yourself if you wish to become a great Jedi someday. Such words will lead you to the Darkside or shorten your life. I had a friend who called a Twi'lek that... I watched him die, and they came after me trying to "remove" witnesses. Of course I'm alive. I had the force on my side to protect me. Without much of an issue it allowed me to dodge their blaster fire and put them to sleep. I hear they got amnesia. It is a shame. There is but one lesson to this. Your words and actions not only affect you, but also those around you."

Shakk set down her books next to him, an assortment of books from the history of the clone wars to scripts of jedi healers. A total of 5 booked were set down and one placed in frount of her, 'History of the Hyperspace Wars' was the name. Her father told her he had an ancestor who fought in the war, she was interested in it all.

"T-Thanks," she said the the young man, he was seemed a little older then him and interesting. She found it cute how he scolded the younglings. "What are you here for? Your study's, they don't look familiar to me."

Se thought again, everything here was foreign to her. Unless it was medical books or herbalist of corse, she loved books. The places and history it contained were the only emotions she could share outwardly. Conversation was hard for her though, people could judge and not like her, these scared her. She wanted to be friends with everyone and the possibility of one person didn't like her scared her.

Moira wasn't mad like he thought though. She was minorly irritated that she had to stop the holovid to correct not just younglings, but also her sibling padawan. She returned to the table and leaned against the one adjacent to it. "You're a new face." She said as she glanced at the new girl and then at the history of the Mandalorian Wars. "I can already tell you're neither youngling, nor padawan. So, what's your story? I'm Moira. Probably one of the least liked padawans in the eyes of be younglings. I'm a little... Strict, if that's what it's called. I don't let them get away with things that are wrong to begin with. Once they become padawans, they will learn why I'm so hard on them. One of them looks up to me like big sister though. I aspire to be a great Sentinel like Bastila Shan was back in her time.

Moira, she did seem strict, but she grew up with a strick father. If it wasn't sword training or combat practice, she was to be buried in her study's. When he found out she was a force user, he became less strick, but her studies were still heavily influenced by him. She loved the old teddy bear of a Mandalorian, but he was a pain. She agreed with her though, jedi masters were notorious for being strick with there training methods.

"I-I'm Shakk, M-M-My, I'm not a J-Jedi, I'm just allowed to to research here," she held her hand in front of her face, with a look of confusion on her face she continued, "I'm new to this whole, Force, thing, until recently I only ever used it to fix droids, now they tell my I can help people with it."

Her father was a ranking offical in the Healers Guild, he transported need supplies to civilians and soldiers across the galaxy. He was risking his life to help jedi and Sith save people's lives. Ideals didn't matter to her, the whole conflict of the two sides were alien to her. While living on the Medical Station on Monestary, she meet soldier from both sides and made friends with both sides. As she pondered this something came to her mind out of curiosity. "I'm sorry to ask this, but who's Bastila Shan?"

"Bastila Shan, a Jedi Sentinel, was one of Revan's companions after the Jedi Civil War. Revan was a redeemed Jedi Guardian who in the end, killed his apprentice Malak because he could not be saved, and leaving him alive would be too great a risk to the Galaxy. It's been over 4,000 years since Taris was destroyed by Malak, and it's barely stable now."

This was interesting to Shakk. He heard tales of the famed Revan, Mandalorians sang praise of drunken chants of how he fought bravely, him being one of the few jedi to face them in combats. Her father also praised the long dead jedi for his bravery. To know there was another jedi that fought alongside him, this was awe inspiring.

"These, this all sound quite interesting, I'm guessing that if a, Sentinel, as you called her, fought with Revan, these Sentinels must be strong jedi indeed."

She spoke with more confidence, these conversations of exchange of infermation allowed her to talk more. She loved knowing new things, these was so much to learn that she wasn't shy anymore, the exsitment was more then enough adrenalin to keep her goin.

"Jedi sentinels don't fight often, they are seekers of knowledge and act more closely to the realm of politics. You mistake them for the Jedi guardians." She looked to the girl. "I am a padawan, by the way. My name is Moira.

These Sentinels sounded like something she liked, she hated fighting and only learned sword play because other father. She was still a novice in the two forms her father taught her. 'What were they again,' she thought to herself.

Then without noticing it she let the words slip from her lips, "Ataru and Soresu."

The second they slipped from her lips she froze. Hoping to change the subject and forget about her airhead move she noticed that she didn't see other of the padawans carry lightsabers. "So where are your guys lightsabers, I don't mean to be rude, and you don't have to tell me if that like a Jedi thing," she was rambling purely to cover up her mistake, "sorry I'll stop talking now." She looked deeply into her book and felt like breaking down into dust and flowing away.

"Ataru, meaning aggression. Soresu was the form of Resilience." She replied, catching her words. Over time she would go back to reading. And soon she would finish and go back to place the holocron on the shelf. She was ready to leave and rest her mind to let it sink in.

That was it, she possibly messed up to make a new friend. Inside she felt very worried and just continued to read her history text about the Hyperlanes War. She knew that her small slip of the tonge wasn't enough to still the two padawans from speaking with her so she figured it was the comment about the lightsabers. It was possible that they may not even have the intrical parts to create one.

Her father had custom build the grip of a lightsabor with braids from laced Behot root. In Mandalorian culture it would bring the user health and fortune in battle. The interior component were constructed with variouse members of her crew. The Energy Cycling Emiter was wired and put together by Goldy, her ships machanic and co-pilot. The Cycling Feild Energizer was created by Gerr, her best friend and ships Cyberwarfare specilist. The battery was made by Dino, her ships Exspolive specilist, probably not the best to design a battery, but she loved it none the less.

She knew that a lightsaber was meant to be what the Jedi or Sith represented. The handle was one of the few things that could show how individual each of them were. In the case of the Jedi, it was the only thing that could show who each other were in the case of everyone wearing robes.
