The Light and it's Shadow.

As she stood upon yet another world in her transit from the Imperial space she'd so fantastically escaped. She knew she'd been followed now for more than one world. A darkness following her, so she stood atop one of this worlds large old temples. it was jsut another old world the jedi once lived on but now had long vanished. Standing she meditated quietly waiting. Each moment breathing and quietly letting the force wash over her calmly like a breeze or a tide. The Dark presence would come as she knew it woudl there was no need to seek it out. She whoever had chosen this world because it was close to her old home Corellia's shattered body still hung in the sky. To most this was a world, no a moon to her it was Gus Talon the moon she'd looked up at as a child and now from it looked to her home.

The Jedi wasn’t going to escape, not on Joon’s watch.

The Imperial troop carrier had set off in hot pursuit of the craft, and while it had a good lead, the shuttle crew maintained tracking it to the moon of Gus Talon, one of the moons of Corellia. The planet, split in two and hanging as a reminder for those who defied strength and order, was a fantastic sight to Joon as she sped to the moon.

She braced herself by the sliding loading door as the craft tore through the atmosphere towards the ship the Jedi had fled in.

And in a few minutes, the came to hover over one of the many temples that popped up over the moon. This temple, however, had a figure atop it and a familiar craft down below.

”There!"

Joon barked, as two accompanying Stormtroopers pulled open the sliding door, ship hovering and lowering to the temple peak, so the Imperial could be alongside the Jedi youth. The warm air blasted through the tansport and Joon gripped the railing above for balance.

The troopers raised their blasters either side of Joon, who pointed and snarled at the girl with her burning amber eyes, fuelled by the Dark Side.

”JEDI! You stop right there! You are coming with me right now!"

She looked up the darkness had found her, as she stood up and turned to face the woman she looked back to Corellia. “It’s strange isint it? All those Sith on my home world and one force entity came and made a joke of the entire lot of them.” She was calm as she lifted her hand and threw the two storm troops back sending both off the temple and down several flights of stairs. They would live but be of little concern for today. “And what Crime did I commit? Defying another Emperor who wants power? Evading a bunch of storm troopers? This is not the Empire or the First Order or any Sith held world. You are in my home system now Sith and here I am at peace.” She stood un flinching. “What you see in the sky is the power of the force, and not done by any Sith. You will find your words do not stir fear here. I suggest you leave on your ship and return to your Emperor.”

The little brat was over-confident.

Joon stood still as the troopers were taken down, their cries and protests faded as they crumpled down the temple stairwells in their armour. She looked back at them, and then glared to the girl.

”Don’t you LIE to me!" Joon spat, trembling with a pent-up lust for violence. ”You were the Jedi from Kamino and now you attack two of the Empire’s military officers when they didn’t even invade your personal space."

She snatched the silver lightsaber hilt from her side and pointed it straight at the girl and ignited it, looking down the crimson blade to the Jedi.

”Your crime is being a trespasser, a conspirator against the Empire and a mercenary of the Jedi."

Her eyes glowed.

”And I….I am no Sith. I am something far worse. So you come with me right NOW or I will tear your heart out on these very steps."

As she approached she might feel the effect of the robes Catherine wore. They reacted to dark side users though the level varied some grew to feel ill around them others minor discomfort. Atop of it however her robes and armor with their green coloring flowed in the breeze as she took up her own saber. Her Blue blade came online and she waited. “Not today, and you to me are Sith those following the Dark Side. I feel the hate, the anger all of it flowing through you. While Fear and that blade and all your soldiers may be your ally the force is my ally and a powerful ally it is.” She raised her blade in a stance ready for when the woman would come at her.

As the Jedi moved, Joon felt a heavy ache in her head and winced, turning away for a second, but snapping her head back around through the mild pain. It was some Force trick – it had to be. Jedi always were dirty fighters. The blue blade of the Light came into play.

”The Force!"

Joon stood erect and held her blade out.

”I was created from the Force! I AM the Force and you know NOTHING of what it really is and why those who serve it must be stronger than YOU, Jedi."

She took a step forward, both blades humming dangerously still and creating an unnerving tension in the air. Joon’s fingers squeezed on her hilt.

”Don’t be blind, my love. Don’t let the Jedi use you as a weapon. You can leave here with me now for a new life if you want one free of shackles."

She stood calm and ready yet stoic. “Are you so sure, I have lived among the followers of the darkness. It twists them makes them something different. I am a jedi and I can never be anything else. A guardian a jedi whose purpose is to stand up when evil comes.” She looked to her smiling some. The smile was of somebody who finally had learned once what they were. “For more than a thousand generations we were the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy. My life is one in service to my ideals. My life is not as a tool of the order but as an instrument of the Force. As a protector of the light. I cannot see what life you offer as anything but darkness. Another Empire to rule the galaxy. I care nothing for political power. I care only to protect others when they cannot defend themselves. There is no death acolyte there is the Force.” With that she stood ready defiantly as the tension built.

For the first time in a while with Asemir, Joon looked shocked. She rested her fingers on her chin in thought as he explained his natural state, and he gazed at his features that were not human. Even more so when his colour changed, she recoiled and looked both angry and confused.

”You can be anything you want to be! Nobody tells you what you SHOULD be. You could be so much more if you didn’t let those murderers hold you back!"

Joon began to tremble slightly, the adrenalin pulsing through her. She wanted to attack so badly, but she was thriving on the electric conversation.

”And what, my child, so you think an Empire does? It looks after those who are prey to the murderous Republic and the Jedi Order! The ones who sweep into cities and destroy lives in the name of peace and justice! Peace. Justice. The Jedi care not for these things except their own tight grip over the galaxy. They act without law and without morals. At least the Empire has a goal and a defining policy to follow. The Jedi – YOUR Jedi – are cowards and barbarians."

The hums of the sabers was deafening in the silent tension. Joon glared at her.

”Come with me."

“Murder? Strange, I watch us spend our lives healing people and letting them choose their leaders. I Look back and the jedi spend our lives dedicated to helping. If I just wanted to kill you why am I still standing here? Why am I talking to you? Because my ideal as a jedi is I protect and defend. I kill only as needed and only when I feel it MUSt happen. I do not go murdering in droves but I see the Sith do it. It wasint the jedi who built the Death Stars that was a Sith Lord. Under a Galactic Empire you serve remnants of now. Blowing up defenseless Alderaan. It was The Dark Emperor himself who ordered the purge of the jedi who fought trying to defend the Republic. If there are jedi or those claiming to be them Marauding the galaxy blowing up planets I’d be more than fine with confronting them and seeking to bring them down as much as any Sith. Meanwhile I watch Sith make plagues that infest whole planets and systems to kill BILLIONS. What great purpose are they setting up? The Jedi want a Republic because it gives the people a chance to have a say in their lives. Something an Empire does not allow.”

She stepped forward slowly Saber ready but still not attacking. “I felt my world die in the force. Millions of screams of terror and agony. Even the Sith who died you claim to be of the force then tell me what your Empire would do when the Next Akala comes? When the next all powerful Force entity drops onto a planet and turns it into a broken hell? That’s what took Corellia, and I doubt she is the only such being the force creates or has hidden someplace. Sith, Jedi they don’t care but people suffered so I prepare for the day another stands before me and maybe this time I’ll be there to face them. I’m not going with you and if you strike me down All that happens is I become one with the living force. I become a part of this universe and am at peace.” She now waited again.

As the Jedi talked, Joon’s smile slowly grew like a predator. And it bubbled into a laugh, her saber lowering.

”Oh you little dear! Just like the Jedi, are you so stuck in the past? Move on! History writes itself, and the Empire is an infamous as ever, and we did what we had to do to counter the terrorists taking the name…the Rebellion. Do you think a few lives lost really mattered? A few years later nobody battered an eye-lid. It was history. We moved on."

Now, she brought buzzing crimson blade up and her smile turned into a snarl, eyes fixed past the weapon onto the petite frame of the Jedi.

”If you want peace then I will kill you where you stand so you can have PEACE. There is no such thing as PEACE for those fighting for their cause, little Jedi! We will stand before the next one to try and cripple us, or destroy what we have worked for. That is why warriors like ME were created; to fight and to protect. If that means cutting down Jedi or Sith to do it then by the Force I will. This is your last…chance…."

She started to shake, wanting to gut her immensely.

”Surrender your blade and come with me…or I swear….."

Her eyes were hot amber and she couldn’t finish her sentence due to the rage bubbling away.

She smiled. "You swear what? you'll strike me? You have a lot to learn little acolyte. Theres more to the force than angry power." She remained clam and in control now awaiting what she knew must come. it was how it always was with these types. She took a new defensive stance one better suited for the style she other seemed to be taking up.

Joon stepped forward, the throbbing in her head pushing her to end the Jedi quickly.

”You don’t know me. I am not angry! I am more than angry – I am everything the Force represents! I am Jedi, Sith, Grey, all in one. One warrior who stands beyond all their codes and conventions and you….PREACH like you know everything…!”

The words spat from gritted teeth as her eyes burned amber.

”I’m going to…I’m…. I am going to enjoy stripping you down and taking every limb from you and gutting you like a fish.”

She laughed a little and beckoned the Jedi.

”Come. Play.”

As she focused her mind she moved in and moved to feint an attack before going for a fast one two strike her with her saber her movements testing the person before her and seeing the forms and tactics she used to battle. Meanwhile she'd work to parry blows send her way and use the momentum to counter attack and aim for her head and body. her own movements were powerful yet graceful enough as she focused on the situation before her.

The Jedi attacked first, which was both amusing but annoying for Joon. They were violent and loved to fight as much as the Sith, but they would never admit it.

Joon recoiled back, a sharp duck and twist of her body as the Jedi struck stone. Her eyes narrowed.

”You’re no Jedi – you are filled with hate!”

Joon brought her blade up and lunged forward, stabbing for the torso and whipping the blade up and around in a two handed grip for strength to bat the Jedi’s blade away.

She blocked and parried before striking back. "No hate, anger yes. But I do not let it control me." She twirled her blade around before coming to strike back aiming several attacks for her arms. Despite her rage she was calm, in control. She was home still this moon was her peoples. She was in advantageous ground and this woman had no clue what a Corellian would or could do.

The sabers clashed violently, almost primitively with no real grace – just power and a want to kill.

”You LIE!”

Joon ducked as the Jedi struck for her torso, and shot up with a firm stance to block.

”Stop fighting for a cause you don’t believe in! It’s pathetic!”

She shot out her arm in a wild back-slash to crack the Jedi around the face, before striking out to push her back on dangerous footing to the edge.

She smiled as she moved to the side circling to keep plenty of room as she went for form III it's ecanomic defensive stance letting her strike and strike but be parried or blocked every time. "If I didn't believe I'd have fallen long ago!"As she twirled the saber she moved with grace and dexterity in contrast to her foe. The Calmness around her contrasted the storm from her foe, in the force it was like a tempest forming as they dueled. Eventually she changed up analyzing what she was seeing from her foe. her movements began to mix other forms becoming flourish in strikes at different angles or dodging/parrying or blocking from directions one might not expect. She then began to also strike as she leapt upward with the forces help moving to try and out maneuver her dueling opponent.

Joon was forced to go on the defensive.

Two hands gripped her hilt as if her life really DID depend on it, and she squared her arms to absorb each blow that connected with her blade. Her face was set and fierce, and each move she made she rooted down in the ground to take each it.

She stumbled back, and in doing so nearly lost her footing. So she pointed her blade outwards to get some distance between the two.

”Come on, Jedi. If your desire to kill is there then DO IT!”

Joon held her arm out for balance, on the edge of the stairwell that had previously been the way down for the Stormtroopers, now staggering around far below on the ground.

She twirled her blade casually. "I am ready to but I do not have to, nor do I desire to." She spoke watching her movements carefully. "So then tell me who trained you? I doubt you built that light saber on instinct alone. But you seem to lack the aggression of many sith. I have to suspect your training is half complete." She said as she raised her blade again and prepared for when the woman might attack again.

Joon began to tremble, and her hand calmed down tighter on the saber, her breathing getting heavy.

”Don’t…you DARE question me!”

The Jedi was right, and it hurt. She had lost her Master, and now had no training for over a year. Piecing together her fragmented past, and all the things she had been introduced to in the early days were not but a memory. And her life was at risk because of it.

”I have no Master…no-one!”

Now she felt she had no way out. The blade was pointed out, but this was a dangerous stale-mate.
