The Lost Soul (Selka Sitar)

Selka landed in a hidden clearing she had located near the large concentration of force users she had found. She had paid quite a bit to find this planet, pretty much everything in the hold of the ship she had stolen.

Selka had activated the vong seed in her head. The force dark to her, she stepped off the ship.

They will help us. The brain whispered to her. They feel like he did.

"The Sith..." Selka sighed. "How did I go from reaching out to the Jedi to approaching the Sith?"

You were chosen. Chosen to help me. Help us.

"Yes" She nodded. "Yes of course."

A short trek brought her out of the trees and to the temple. Selka peaked out through the brush. Deactivating her Vong seed for just a second she reached out to the temple. The strength of it nearly knocked her over. Such hate. Such power. Could she really stand among these people?

Activating the seed again she disappeared from the force, a void left where her body stood, a void the force could neither touch nor sense. Carefully, she stepped out into the clearing, and began to approach the temple. She would find a Master, and convince them to train her. She had to avenge herself. She had to avenge the brain.

The days were shorter than ever. Xander was feeling his age in how days passed. He looked in his mid twenties, had the energy, but his reality was the force stasis had kept him preserved. His daily battle was the memories, reminding himself they were not yesterday, but 800 years and more ago. He ran to focus. He hunted to release the anger.

His bow was at the ready as he heard rustling in the bushes. Whatever came clear of the bushes would be dead on sight. Something emerged and he released his arrow. A female, using the force, he moved the arrow off its path before it could make contact. It hit a tree near the woman, and Xander stood to his full height. Odd he could not sense her in the force. He saw her, but yet there was nothing. He was curious.

"I could have killed you just now, woman," he said as he approached. "You had best be careful."

Selka nearly jumped out of her skin. Falling to the ground, arms covering her head, she quivered in fear as the arrow passed by her.

"I could have killed you just now, woman," he said as he approached. "You had best be careful."

"He's not lying." The brain whispered in her ear. "You were basically useless there."

"Quiet," she mutter aloud to herself and the brain.

Slowly crawling to her feet she moved part her long hair out from in front of her eyes. "I-I'm sorry." She bowed meekly. "I-I d-did not mean to startle you... My apologies. I-I I-I'll... I-I'll just go.

With that she turned to scurry towards the brush again. She had made a mistake. Who could she be strong enough to be a Sith.

She walked off, and Xander shrugged his shoulders. His hunt had been interrupted, and now he was in a fowl mood. He turned toward teh temple, and sped off with the force to change his attire and see to his training for the day. His thoughts were sufficiently distracted for the moment, though there may be a job for him to take as an assassin, one to get him off world and distracted further.

A quick shower was taken, and the White Assassin donned his robes.

They were new attire for him, but sometimes change was needed. His other attire was still primary, but today he was acting in official capacity, and was looking the part.

Alone with his thoughts again, they wandered to that of the last time he had seen his wife. She had been sick, though something had seemed off about it. Her female stubborness insisted she was fine, but Xander had always wondered if there was more going on. He was pushed out the door that day, to go on his search. He never returned to learn the truth of why she was sick. It still bothered him to this day.

Where do you think you are going. The brain whispered in her ear. Seek that man out, he can train you.

"But, he's so much stronger than me." Selka shook her head. "He'll never want to train me. I'm too weak."

THEN PROVE YOU ARE NOT! The Brain rang through her head, the sudden pain causing her to collapse. YOU MUST AVENGER YOURSELF! AVENGE ME!

"Y-yes," Selka cried. "Yes, I will."

With that she deactivated the vongseed, the force filling her once more. The man was already so far way, but she ran to him, tripping and falling more than once on the way there. She finally found him, now in a different outfit. Breathing heavily, she collapsed in front of him. "Please..." She trailed off out of breath. "Please... Teach me the ways of the darkside. I-I have those I wish to destroy."

Xander sighed.

"Do you know how many times I hear that request. Teach me the ways of the dark side I have those I wish to destory?"

Eyes narrowed on her as though he was looking into her soul.

"Tell me what makes you so different than everyone else who asks that question. When you have destroyed those you seek to be rid of what will drive you then? How do I know that you will not simply leave the path of darkness, and have used me for your own gain, leaving me with nothing to claim."

The last student Xander asked this could not answer the question, and the lesson which had been arranged never began. If he could not be satisfied she would be sent looking for another.

Selka looked up at the Sith that would decide her fat of moving forward, or leaving in disgrace before she had even begun. "I-" She paused. "I cannot promise that I will not leave the dark path." She then wrapped her arms around herself, starring at the ground, hugging herself, as shame reeked off of her. "But I am too dirty to walk the path of the light again. If you require it of me, I will serve you until you deem my debt repaid. Only then will I seek my vengence."

:: HERO of KORRIBAN ::
Vizios turned and started to leave when she said she could not promise she would remain on the dark path. He was not going to waste his time with a Dark Jedi. Sith Assassins were much more than Jedi which embraced the dark. Yet he stopped when she said herr vegence could wait until he brought into her circle. She understood her life would no longer be her own if she joined the Sith. She WAS different.

"And if your quest for retubution is never allowed, what then, will you still serve me?"

[member="Inari"]

How could she not obey the order of The Brain. How could she do anything other than take vengeance on those who hurt it, hurt her! But without the training of the Sith, how could she become like him. How could she replace the hole that left The Brain unfinished. She had no choice. Join the Sith was the only way. The only way to get what she wanted, what she needed.

"I-" She hesitated, starring at the ground. She moved to a kneeling position, feet tucked underneath her, her hair falling like a wall around her head, nearly completely hidding her with its length. "I will serve you, as long as you have need of me."

"Good," he said turning around to face her again. "Our lesson begin this evening at dusk. Meet me on the roof of the temple. The flat portion is where you will find me. Until then, find quarters, check in with the quartermaster for robes, and bathe. You've been running through the woods, and I can smell them, and your sweat. Women are never to smell of sweat."

Yes, Xander had moments of chauvinism still. Most of the time they were intentional to test a woman, and what she would tolerate. This time it was because he purposefully wanted to ititate his student. He'd push her to the point where had she been lying, she would quit on him.

"Find me at dusk, and do not be late."

Selka riffled at the sweat comment. She was used to working right alongside her father, so she was no stranger to long hard days. She let the anger roil in her, feeding her strength. Shâsotjontû châtsatul nu tyûk. Through passion, I gain strength. She had studied the sith on the flight here, having already memorized the code.

"As you command, master." She replied, her voice meek dispite the anger in her heart.

With that she left for the temple. It took some time to fill out the paperwork, especially since she had neglected to ask for her new masters name, but after a couple of hours she had robes and a room. After a short jaunt in the sonic shower, she dressed in the too large robes, the smallest size they had, and went up to the roof of the temple to meditate till her master arrived.

(If your not there)

She found a spot overlooking the forest and sat down crosslegged, starring out into the distance. She let herself drift outwards, reaching out over the forest practicing her force sense. She began to follow around a small tree climbing critter as it scurried around the forest. She allowed herself to get enraptured in its life as it climbed, jumped, and scurried around the forest.

Xander watched and waited as the woman made her way to the roof. He kept to the shadows, and masked his aura so she could not sense him. There were certain curiosities he had about her, and observation would answer some of them. Unfortunately, it did not answer the questions he had at the time.

"They could not find you robes which fit," he asked finally emerging from the shadows. "At least I don't have to leave up here all night and force you to learn how to connect to the force. You do that well already. However, you will fix those robes to fit you well, otherwise they will prove a hinderance in your training. In fact, I have half a mind to make you strip from them now. As my plans for what to teach you have changed based on what I've seen."

He paused to see her reaction to the chance he may actually make her train in her undergarments. Some were shy about such displays, others were not. Xander no longer had any sense of propriety or shame when it came to his body, or that of others.

"So as not to waste my time, tell me what you have already learned."

[member="Inari"]

Selka had not sensed her master approach, so enraptured she had been with the small animals life. It wasn't until he spoke that she new someone was behind her, but so deep into her meditation it took her some moments to pull herself out of the trance. She finally returned just as he said: "So as not to waste my time, tell me what you have already learned."

She turned around, brushing the dust off her robe as she stood, she faced him, giving him a short bow before looking up, though not quite meeting his eyes. "I can enter a trance like state... I lose all sense of time and my surroundings, but I am able to hyper focus on a single object. I can also use this state in place of sleep if necessary." Selka paused and looked down, as if thinking. She suddenly brightened, a smile coming to her face she looked up meeting his eyes for a second before looking away. "I can move objects through the force, though not heavy or fast yet. When not in a trance state I can sense those around me, from pretty far away too. I think my record is about a mile... but that's... pretty much... it..."

She trailed off with the last sentence, hands subconsciously wrapping the loose robes around her hands.

"If you can't keep the robe on, then take it off. All the fidgeting with it will only be distracting to you for what we are going to work on."

Vizios was serious. It would be better for her to be naked than fussing with her robes. She certainly would not be distracting to Xander as his own personality was as such he could turn that part of his mind on or off. He'd used his sexuality to fool his own betrothed before killing her and her family. Her family had been a rival to his claim as regent, and he would not have it threatened.

A finger raised to his chin and pressed to the dimple of his cleft. He tapped his chin as he mused what exactly he wanted to teach, and if her telekenesis was already learned, as well as sense, it left a few things of the basics she would need. Stepping to the ledge, Xander stepped off the roof and landed on the ground below. His mind pressed to hers, as he spoke telepathically.

"You can use the force to absorb your landing by treating yourself as the objects you can lift with the force. Do it, now, just as I did. If succeed you live, if you fail, then I find a new student."

[member="Inari"]

Selka cast off her robe, revealing that she was still fully dressed in her Correllian stripped pants and white shirt. She gather the force around herself, wrapping herself in it as she would any object she would try to move. With that she looked over the ledge, starring at the ground. It was so far down, but she stepped off anyways. Even with all her might pressing against herself, her fall was only partially slowed. She tried to roll as she reached the ground, but with her thin frame she let a deep cry of pain as a sickening crack came from her shoulder. With a bacta bath she'd be good as new in a couple days, but that was of little comfort as she howled in pain on the ground.

"You failed, yet lived. The task was simple. Get up."

Xander had no sympathy for her. She would learn or not. She would do it or not. This was not a skill which had much difficulty. Her shoulder had broken, he sensed it in her. The pain would now be something to draw on.

"Pain is our teacher, struggle our master. Now focus on the pain, draw it in, and let it make you strong. Use the pain, push the force to your legs and leap to the roof once more."

Vizios did as he just said. His mind reached to hers once more.

"We do not move on until you succeed."

[member="Inari"]

Selka writhed in pain on the ground, She had never broken a bone before, so this pain was an all new feeling for her. However, as he instructed her, she drew on that pain. Feeding its emotion into her anger. Fueling her rage. Her presence flared up in the force, like a white hot fire surrounding her body. She Slowly brought herself to her feet, Gathering the force around her she pressed against the ground, launching herself to the roof through the use of the force alone.

She landed on one foot when she reached the roof. Catching herself she barely regained her balance before she fell on her face. She looked up at her master, pride gleaming from a corner in her eye.
