The Story So far...

Following the mysterious disappearance of Mage Leaders of Hoylin, Master Wol Jido has returned to lead the Order. She used the controversial Soul-Shift to transfer her essence from her sword to a new body. Now, she looks to oversee the training of the next generation of Mages. Together with her fellow Mages, she seeks to expand their knowledge, locate lost relics and artifacts, and continue to hone their magic.

The Next Chapter...
Shortly following Master Jido's return, a rogue chapter of mages makes their presence known...

The Wu Shi Temple sits above the "City of Mages." Here, they train diligently under their Master Mage teachers. This is the largest and most prestigious school of Mages on Hoylin.

FAQ
What is a Mage?
On the world of Hoylin, Mages are force-users that harness the power of 'magic.'

What is their alignment?
The "Jidoyan" Mages of Wu Shi temple are neutral. While they strive for the greater good, they generally do not involve themselves in galactic affairs. Mages do not label abilities light and dark, however, they use great restraint when using so-called "dark" abilities.

Do they use lightsabers?
While some may have skill using lightsabers, the Mages of Hoylin favor force-imbued blades. They take quite a lot of pride in sword-fighting skill and using their blades for magic.

Are there Mages outside of Hoylin?
Likely, yes. However, the largest community of Mages lives around or in Wu Shi Temple.

Does my character have to be from Hoylin to join?
No, the Mages will welcome others as long as they abide by their regulations and pass basic training. It is important, however, that anyone carrying the title of Hoylin Mage to conduct themselves with loyalty and honor.

What is a Rogue Mage?
While some may still deny the existence of such Mages, the Temple is beginning to take notice of Rogues that are using magic but do not abide by the Wu Shi Temple training or their laws. These Mages do not hesitate to take life, nor do they care for diligent training -- they will gladly take knowledge that is not theirs.
