The dimly-lit cantina was packed to the brim with patrons. Sitting in the corner, nursing a third drink, was Kiber Thaxton, watched the people coming and going. Kiber was one of the most famous bounty hunters in the galaxy, having amassed many successful bounties from one side to the other. The main door of this small cantina swung open and then a stranger appeared; they walked over to the bar and sat down on a barstool.

Kiber stood up and approached the stranger, taking a seat next to them. They definitely looked different.

"So what brings you here stranger?" he asked them, holding out his gloved hand in greeting.

The aforementioned stranger didn't respond yet, first she signaled for one of the bigger cups on the racks for a cup of liquid. Once it was placed in front of her, she took a long sip from it and turned her head to the person who seemed to want to bother her. "The beverages. Who's asking?" She asked in a firm and almost unamused tone.

In fact, her whole face stood a bored expression that didn't show much other than her cute little emerald eyes and pout pale lips.

"Kiber Thaxton. Mandalorian bounty hunter," he replied, flipping and catching his lucky coin in his hand. "I just haven't seen anyone like you here before," Kiber continued, wondering where she had come from.

The woman gently rubbed her eyes, then took a long sip from her drink before spinning the chair facing the door. "I've met people like you, all over the galaxy. They usually buy me drinks before they start flirting."

"Me? Flirt? This isn't the bounty hunter you're looking for," Kiber said, feeling rather pissed off with that accusation. "I'm just curious, that's all," he said to her.

That statement brought a small smile to her lips. She turned her eyes to him, batting them gently. "Just curious? Aww, ain't that cute... Well I'm curious too now, hmm?"

Although she couldn't see it, Kiber was smiling behind his helmet. "Are you needing help with dispatching someone or are you just travelling around the galaxy miss?" he asked, replacing the coin in his belt pouch.

She blinked gently, then looked down, then back up. "A little of both. I'm Ponds, by the way. Doctor Ponds."

"It is very nice to meet you Doctor Ponds. Now, if you need someone dispatched, that line of work is my main speciality," Kiber had not been out hunting for quite some time, so he needed to get his skills back into focus.

"Well, I was actually sent on a job. But I don't want them dead. You think you could handle a smuggler's job, bounty hunter?" She mocked the title with a giggle.

Kiber leant back on the barstool, deep in thought. "I have done several smuggling runs in my time. Acting as escort for contraband weaponry and the like for any and all interested parties," he exclaimed.

"May I ask what you had in mind, Doctor?"

She grinned a little bit and folded her hands together. "The pay was 40,000 credits if I could take this shipment. It's not very guarded, but it has what my employers need. If you get it for me, bring it to the destination, I'll pay you 15,000. Hmm? Sound good?"

"It does sound good to me. So may I ask what the shipment is Doctor? And don't worry, I have enough weaponry to keep anyone off your back and your precious cargo," Kiber rubbed his hand together gleefully.

Massive pay day here I come!!

She slowly leaned in and whispered quietly. "Coords to an abandoned space station... I'll tell you how to find the guy later, after we discuss contacts."

Kiber nodded attentively. "Why don't we speak somewhere a little more private? I've got a key to a VIP room where we can discuss it further," he produced the key, stood up from the bar and lead the way.

She nodded in agreement, sitting up and stealing one more sip from her drink. After wiping her mouth, she got on both legs and went to follow. "Let's make it quick."

Kiber nodded and lead her through the kitchen and to a small red door in an alcove. "Here we are," Kiber said, as he unlocked the door and shepherded the doctor inside the room, before locking the door behind him.

"Shall we cotinue with this little mission of yours then?"

La'kuus crossed her arms and smiled gently. "My target's name is Olan Teff, he's a smuggler. Currently he's on a planet, in a bar I assume, hiding away plans. I'm going to be around, but you need to get them off his hands one way or another. Do not kill or harm my target. Understood?"

"Understood Doctor," Kiber replied, giving her a nod. "I'm rather good at non-lethal and non-harmful takedowns actually; you could say it is a trademark of sorts," he smiled behind his helment once more.

"Let me see your comlink. I'll give you my contact and give you further details once I'm out of here." She added innocently, holding out a gloved hand.
