STRENGTHS

• Multitool: Designed around the frame of a hydrospanner, the lightsaber’s emitter doubles as a socket driver that can shrink or expand to fit various socket types, and features a fusion cutter as well.
• Inconspicuous: Due to the design of the weapon, it looks like a normal hydrospanner rather than a lightsaber.
• Modular: The blade can operate underwater without issue, and also features a power adjustment to enhance the blade’s power output for extra potential damage.

WEAKNESSES

• Heavy: Due to the materials used and the design of the hilt, the weapon has a lot of weight to it.
• Cortosis: A rather typical drawback for the type of weapon, the lightsaber can short out when coming in contact with pure cortosis.

DESCRIPTION

The original hilt and crystal was found by Ara Sheridan on a trip to scout and restore the ruins of the Jedi Temple on New Cov. Supposedly belonging to a strong Jedi Master that lived during the Clone Wars, Ara treated her weapon with immense respect.

However, after her crash landing aboard a prison shuttle on Panatha, the hilt was seriously damaged along with the green crystal inside. Ara had to utilize scrap parts from a hydrospanner, the leftovers of the hilt and some blaster components to get a semi-functional lightsaber working again. The ad-hoc repairs, however, laid the foundation for the hilt Ara would build again upon her return to the Coruscant Temple and the Jedi Order.

Upon first glance, the weapon looks like a common hydrospanner and operates like one too. It even has an adjustable socket driver that can fit a variety of common and uncommon socket types, making it an incredibly useful tool. It even has an integrated fusion cutter that can melt adhesives and slice through thin materials if needed.

But at the flip of a switch, the socket driver acts as an emitter and the clockwise/counter-clockwise switch acts as the ignition for the weapon. The bright green blade occasionally spits out sparks and has some arcs that dance along the blade, however it is a fully functional lightsaber with a bulky hilt that fits the fighting style of its owner.
