Darren Onyx
Fallen
Hoth was a planet used commonly for hidden bases. A hidden academy built for Dark Jedi wasn't too uncommon in retrospect. It's why Onyx, who was in his usual dark robe, though his mask missing, was able to find it so easy. He had heard Romeo, his former apprentice and now enemy, had built a place for Dark Jedi to train and learn the ways of the force. Dark Jedi wasn't something Onyx considered normal; there was dark and light, the in-between being the grey. Perhaps they, those who referred to themselves as Dark Jedi that is, saw themselves as upholding the morals of a Jedi but carrying the power of a Sith.
It still didn't make sense, at least to Onyx. He had seen both sides, he had been both a Jedi Master and Sith Lord. He knew the power both held and felt both were held back by their own faults. He chose to be the grey because it made sense, it was the only free choice.
As he pushed uphill and through the wind, he kept his eyes fixed before him. His face was scared more than usual; in recent months his cybernetics began to fail and resulted in more deformed face. Personally he didn't mind, there was, after all, a point where he was covered in third degree burns. This wasn't the worst look he had donned. His cloak was ripped up, and his dark red Mandalorian armor had plasma burns, as well as dents from sabers and lasers, plotted around it. His hair, it seemed, had finally greyed out all blonde he once had. Between the weathered armor and injured face, Onyx could pass as a much older man than he really was; looking to be in his mid-fifties rather than his real age of thirty-eight.
He could sense other force users as he neared the top of the large hill. He didn't need to search far to know Romeo was here, he could feel his former apprentice with ease. As he reached the top of the hill he could see the large academy, well tucked into the valley below. Onyx smirked and closed his eyes, stretching his mind to search for Romeo. As he could hear, as well as feel, the many cybernetic parts within his fake drafted skin crawl. After only a moment of searching he broke his concentration and opened his eyes. He grabbed his chest in pain and groaned slightly.
