The Middle of Nowhere

It has now been officially a complete set of two days since Rune has left the Jedi Temple on Yavin IV to reach the Outer Rim of the Galaxy and set his ship, the Moon Gazer, towards a distant location in the middle of nowhere in the great oblivion of space. The main reason behind the strange destination that the Padawan was heading towards was because of a distress signal that has been sent not long ago by a small, Republic-owned cargo ship that was apparently accosted by Pirates, and, being too worried for the passengers of the ship's safety, the young man decided to foolishly head forward on his own, throwing himself into a possibly troublesome situation once again just like he did back then on Cloud City. However, back then, Master Joshua DragonsFlame was there along with him and, therefore, he had been mostly safe from danger.

Now, he was alone. Though he doubted the Jedi Order wouldn't had noticed the Padawan's sudden leave and allow him to go all alone without a proper escort that was probably along the way right now, it was still something that Rune hadn't probably done before.

Sitting within the cockpit of his ship on the chair was conveniently placed behind the commands of the spacial vehicle, it would only take a mere ten minutes before, finally, the Padawan would notice a small dot in the distance, which would make blink, then frown seriously.

"This must be it..."

As he would approach the ship, the Jedi would then notice that the ship was actually rather large, most specifically a Super Transport XI cargo transport ship. It was probably the main reason why it was raided too, if Rune referred himself to the distress signal that has been given to the Republic. It was so big that he could enter his ship in that thing with absolutely no problem.

Where is the escort for that massive thing? There doesn't seem to be any results of fighting near his ship's position.... It couldn't had gone on its own, that is very, very foolish. A Super Transport XI cargo ship has no weapons and, the most important of all, absolutely no shields; carrying around in the Outer Rim without any escort was almost wishing to be gunned down.

There was definitely something fishy about this.

In any case, he would see if this report was right or wrong as he set his ship towards the entrance of the cargo ship, noticing that the doors were opened and the holographic delimiters up.

Little be known she had a knack of seeking onto ships that passengers wasn't wanted on then again she couldn't help but give out a sweet satisfied smile upon her lips of hers. Just when would she show her face to the only other one on this big ship. After all she hadn't the flying skills as some of the other follow jedi did. After all it wasn't like she didn't want to learn but there was a feeling that her mother had been protecting her from something.

Well now was to late to turn back after all look where she was now. As she finally found herself looking at at the larger ship. "What do you think is on that ship out there." with a sweet innocent smile upon looking at the padawn like herself. After all she was just a curious as any other would be, after all this could be fun and dangerous. Been sheltered long enough, hadn't she after all why would her mother send her to learn from Master Dorn after all she wanted to feel the galaxy at her hand to see all she had missed growing up.

Echo of her mother voice on many times, the galaxy is a dangerous and unforgiving place. Giving a way another of her curiousity with her very dark pools of her eyes. So Keen to pick up on details on the ship. Then that feeling creep up on her as if she or other word they was being watched from somewhere.

" So what we going to do go in and see what in the ship or carrying oh what if there is still people live in there." as her mind begin to race knowing that she needed to calm her mind but how could she with all the possibilities what happen or what they would find. Still in his face was disbelife or something else.

"Oh Hi I kind of invited myself, I"m Freyia, and you are." as she couldn't help to have that soft spoken voice of her.

Sigh.

That was the only thing that Rune would let out of his mouth once he would notice that somebody was actually on in his ship thanks to how the Force suddenly reacted around him, able to make him sense the presence of another Padawan just like him. This was.... slightly unexpected, to say the least, but no matter: if this person was a Dark Jedi, or much worse, he will have to fight it, however the reason behind this. Yet, he wasn't really able to actually detect any dark forces behind this presence.... It was as if.....

He would then slightly stand back once the other innocent-looking Padawan would suddenly pop in right beside Rune, making his eyes slightly go round as, instantly, he would realize that his hand was on his lightsaber at his waist and was almost on the brink of activating it and slashing down this poor girl in two. Slowly tensing down, he would start slightly panting, then calmly frown as he replied to her question, collecting his emotions.

"I..... am really unsure."

He stared at the young woman, then let out yet another sigh as she started rambling about what the ship actually contained, about the fact that there might be hostages and actually try to plan what they were suppose to do. Admittedly, this made the Padawan slightly worried about his own safety. Who was this woman? He had never heard nor seen her before, not even within the Jedi Temple back on Yavin IV, which he is so accustomed to visit now and then ever since his previous Master left him.

As the woman would finally stop rambling and actually calm down, he would cross his arms, his eyes closed. This woman was definitely not somebody that you could trust easily, especially when she entered this ship so easily without him actually spotting her at first, but the Force that was coursing around her was definitely not impure and influenced by the Dark Side.... nor did she looked like a smuggler, or anything remotely close to a criminal. He would start talking in a calm voice, presenting himself back.

"My name is Rune Talrik, Jedi Padawan of the Jedi Order and the Republic. As you can probably see, I am the owner of this ship, and you are lucky that you haven't met anybody else, because anybody else would had probably already shot you, pardon my words."

He slightly shook his heads, then opened his eyes once again on the ship ahead.

"May I ask how you have actually entered my ship? I thought it was locked tight back on Yavin."

Very shocked at what he said. First off she hadn't thought all the way through what she was going to say of this one when she showed. Before finding her own voice once again. "I'm Padawn Freyia Whitelight, I know it was hard figure out how I made it on here." as if she could sound any more dumber then that commit. As she looked at the fact that he was now really wanting to know.

"You know that few second it takes to raise that ramp, you got it." as she just let out another smile up her lips. As she let her hand slide out to shake it. Finding herself looking at to much as to her puzzlement. As she let herself go into something else as she blank out once or twice before coming back to where they where.

"I have this habit of jumping on ship to where every it takes me." even so she like to do another. As she look at the fact that there was what looked like a dead ship ahead of them. After which time she reach out will as much as she of her own powers to feel. It had an odd feeling but it look like that everything was dead as if all disappeared or not alive. "So what do you think should we take a closer look."

At first, Rune would clearly deadpan at his fellow Padawan's poor explanations on the actual difficulty of getting on the ship. To be honest, actually, this almost made him suspect her to be some sort of spy for the enemy over there in the cargo ship. Who knows, maybe they did send somebody, a scout that could enter ships discretely without getting spotted, even in space.

Bah, what the hell was he thinking? That thinking of his was methodically impossible. To go in space on your own without wearing a special suit that is fitted for spacial environments is impossible, unless you want to completely destroy your body in the process. Gravity and oxygen-less, a simple man would almost die on the spot in such an environment thanks to the heavy pressure alone.

In other words, the scout explanation he tried to provide to this whole situation was completely worthless, unless those bandits over there were already full of credits and had enough of those to buy those special suits he was talking about, which, to his knowledge, were specifically only kept by the Republic, and very few mercenary groups. Even then, the latter people were usually trying their best to keep themselves on the Republic's good side, so suddenly going into such a dangerous task that was stealing a cargo ship was simply futile and filled with incredible stupidity.

But that was Rune's opinion, of course.

It was then that, after his thinking, the Padawan would finally get his explanations. Apparently, this young woman has literally rushed fast enough to enter his ship while the ramp was closing. The only reason she would provide to this incredibly unusual habit of hers was that she usually goes on people's other ships to travel around and see where they could possibly lead her too.

No matter how hard he tried to believe her, Rune almost felt like that explanation was full of lies. But again, this girl did not looked malevolent.... To suddenly visibly mistrust her would be incredibly impolite of him, to say the least. If there was one thing he didn't want to do to this girl, it was definitely to harm her. Letting out a small sigh, then crossing his arms, the Padawan would stare at the young woman with a calm face.

"Do not take those words too harshly, but.... you really should stop going into ships like that. I have traveled many light years, visited many planets on my own already...... and, if there is one thing that people truly dislike, it's intruders."

Standing up from his chair, he would stare at the ship in the distance as they would slowly approach the cargo ship, then sigh.

"I really feel that I will regret this...... But..."

He looked back towards his fellow Padawan.

"We will take a closer look together. However, please, be very careful. I do not know you personally, and I have never seen your skills in combat, so I cannot properly give you any tasks whatsoever in this mission. You will have to follow me closely."

He would then ask.

"I suppose, being a Padawan yourself, you must have a Lightsaber, right? Only use in dire times. We do not want to be spotted easily. Here in the vast oblivion of space, if we get into any trouble, we will not be able to contact the Republic for military support. Do you understand?"
