- Links: N/A
- Name:
- Scientific: Prudens Caecus Xenoluka
- Colloquial: Mirith
- Designation: Sentient
- Origins: Extra-Galactic/Created
- Average Lifespan: 200-300
- Estimated Population: Semi-Unique
- Description: Mirith, at a glance, are highly similar to Sith Purebloods. Sporting hair in a range of colors, as well as crests, tendrils, ridges, and other such growths on the face and head. Build and Stature are highly similar to humans but can vary widely between individuals. Hands and feet have five digits each. Eyes also reportedly have a soft glow to them that intensifies with deepened Force connection.
- Breathes: Type I
- Average Height of Adults:
- Males: 1.8 meters
- Females: 1.7 meters
- Average Length of Adults: N/A
- Skin color: Caucasian, but other pigmentation possible.
- Hair color: Black, but other pigmentation possible.
- Distinctions: Mirith have an array of skin patterns, ridges, tendrils, on the face, head, chest, and arms. Aside from their skin pigmentation, they are nearly identical to Sith Purebloods. Additionally, their eyes glow when immersed in the Force. The stronger their connection/exertion, the brighter the glow.
- Races: None, species is not diverse enough
- Force Sensitivity: High
- All currently documented members of the species are Force Sensitive, but it is possible that a non-sensitive member of the species may exist.
- Force Sensitive: While the possibility exists that a non-sensitive member of the species may be born, all members of the species thus far are Force Sensitive.
- Inherent Force Sight: Owing to the lineage from which the Mirith evolved, all members posses an inherent aptitude towards the Force Sight ability
- Increased Strength: The Mirith poses above-average strength, measured to be about twice that of humans.
- Force Resistance: The Mirith display some degree of resistance to Force Powers due to properties of their skin.
- Non-Sensitivity: Any Mirith born without Force Sensitivity will not be able to access the Force, and will not be able to benefit from inherent ability with it.
- Wounds: Mirithian resistance to Force Powers is broken should they suffer wounds that break the skin. Any abilities cast on these areas will be increased significantly.
- Healing & Beneficial Force Powers: Mirithian resistance to Force powers leads to the negative aspect of not being able to take full advantage of beneficial force powers such as healing, valor, speed, etc. This, however, does not apply to self-cast abilities.
- Diet: Omnivore
- Mirith are capable of consuming a wide array of substances, seemingly identical to that of humans. Variations in diet can be observed in hybrids or artificially created Mirith
- Communication: Spoken, Body Language, Telepathy
- Mirith have no formal language of their own, and thus rely on Basic as their primary spoken language
- Telepathy is not an inherent trait of the Mirith, but possible for Force-Sensitive members to learn.
- Technology level: Mirith are not widespread enough to have a distinct technology level, and thus adopt the technology level of the society in which they reside.
- Religion/Beliefs: The Mirith as a collective do not have an official religion or belief.
- General behavior: Mirith are too young as a species to have a widely defined way of life, and activities & habits can vary widely between individuals. At a biological level, Mirith exhibit many behaviors common in near-human species. Diurnal, omnivorous, and mammalian, Mirith also have the capability to mate for life, but may also chose lives of solitude or numerous partners. As the species grows and evolves, more distinct behaviors may become apparent.
Mirith first appeared in the galaxy in the 860th year after the Battle of Yavin, when the first member of its species was created. It was originally a Miraluka who had been expelled from the Netherworld by the Force itself, and changed by this act. Some theorize that this was a byproduct of artificially crossing the barrier of life and death, but no definitive negatives have been identified in the species. Many believe that such actions would invoke a curse, moreso than a blessing, but too little is known to be able to definitively say one way or another. It has been determined, however, that no mass creation event has taken place.
The Mirith are not a widespread race, and can only grow through reproduction, or through other individual creation events. It is theorized that a creation event could be artificially induced, but it would take an immense effort on the part of the creator. Currently, the only viable method for intentional reproduction is biologically. Any Mirith created as opposed to born remember the event as fairly traumatic, often wiping their memories of anything that came before the event. The degree to which this amnesia strikes can be mild (Disorienting in the immediate aftermath, but quick recovery over the next few months), or severe to total amneisa, requiring the individual to relearn even basic motor function and speech.
Mirith are new to the galactic scene, and as such have no trappings of an established species. They have no homeworld, no language, no culture, no religion. This may change with time, but for the next few decades, any strides made towards establishing a species identity will be marred by the influences of their host cultures. Given the level of Force Sensitivity, it may not be uncommon for the Mirith to find themselves among the ranks of the Jedi or Sith, but only time will tell if they will accept other doctrines, or create their own. Their creation as a species from the Void, however, does lend itself to a certain level of mysticism, one that a member may see fit to exploit for their own gain. This is somewhat reflected in their scientific name, the Prudens Caecus Xenoluka, as named by the Progenitor, and the ally that helped him understand his new state of being. Prudens Caecus being a Proto-Corellian term meaning "Wise Blind," while Xenoluka was a more utilitarian term coined by the Progenitor. A marriage of Xeno, meaning alien, and Miraluka, the Progenitor's original species.
