STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
Strengths:
- Bye, Bye, Midi-chlorians: The Morrow's Whisper Virus attacks the living midi-chlorians organisms and outright kills them. It essentially will destroy the individual's ability to utilize the Force if their counts are high enough. However, an individual can undergo a genetic process that basically involves the transferring of the midi-chlorians through transfusions, which could regenerate over time in only those that originally were Force sensitive with regards to their high M-counts.
- Infectivity / Severity: The virus is extremely infectious, able to transfer from one individual to another in mere seconds; as the severity of the virus having serious, harsh, or unpleasant effects.
- Long Incubation Period: Unlike most viruses, the incubation period is long ranging from two weeks to a month for it fully start to take effect. Systems will slowly be present before the full outbreak.
- Life Expectancy: The virus is very fragile in terms of living outside a host or vial, that it can die within a few passing seconds when exposed to Type I and II atmospheres, where the concentration of oxygen and nitrogen are present, where it can survive almost indefinitely in Type III and IV atmospheres due to the toxics and other combustible gases that are more in abundant, and where the absence of both oxygen and nitrogen exist. Though the virus can be transmitted through airborne means, it has to be a quick passing, such a cough or sneeze or the touching of a recent dabbed surface.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Once more born from the demented and twisted mind of Lady Death, Darth Moskvin, came a new virus created in her underground lab, The Hollow. Unlike previous experiments, this was a bit trickier in its creation. The virus, known as The Morrow's Whisper, was designed to attack the midi-chlorians, the organism that thrives within all living species, animals, foliage, et. However, the virus is not lethal, it will not kill its host, but it is highly infectious.
Unlike other viruses, The Morrow's Whisper cannot thrive without a host or an air-sealed containment device like a glass vial, so it can't be dispersed and allowed to manifest into a pandemic. It needed to be directly administered through airborne or direct contact with either the virus itself or from another infected individual. As stated earlier, it has a very low life expectancy rate.
Because of the severity of the virus, it does have a fifteen to thirty-day incubation period, with the symptoms slowly appearing over the course of the infection, and it's here that a cure would need to be administered to prevent full infection. Also, one can undergo certain genetic transfusions to restore the lost midi-chlorians, but at the cost of another's midi-chlorians.
The main focus of this virus is to eradicate one's ability to use the Force, to strip the ability to rely on the mythical energy. The virus does not discriminate between Light, Dark, or Neutral users; all are at risk; even those with low M-counts who cannot feel the Force.
