Structurally they differ from other Clans and Covens as well as religiously. They are unique and view themselves as the superior Coven on Dathomir.
- Headquarters: Siuracha Laochra
- Domain: Dathomir
- Notable Assets: Nardithi Cluster I M'un'rior Bog I The Haunted Lands I Oteroa Zero-Twenty Ruins
- Hierarchy: The Nardithi have forgone the traditions of Nightsister Covens and Clans, opting into a more democratic philosophy, preventing one sole individual complete power of the Coven. The Ciorcal a Ceathair, translated Circle of Four, is the ruling body of the Coven. Though equal in power, only the Clan Mother has the power to veto a ruling but must provide strong proof as to why such a move was deemed necessary.
- Clan Mother: In old traditions, she was the ruling body of Covens and Clans, and was so in the old Nardithi Nightsister Covens until reformation took place. She sits at the head of the Ciorcal a Ceathair and has the power to veto an approved proposal. She is still sought out for her wisdom and knowledge but her ability to have absolute power has been removed from the structural philosophies of the Coven.
- Fanged Mother: The title of Fanged Mother is bestowed upon the speaker for the Fanged Sisters, a religious order based off the religion and worship of The Fanged God. Member of The Ciorcal a Ceathair.
- Mother Brier: The title of Mother Brier is giving to the speaker of the Sisters of the Brier, an order dedicated to the preservation of the art and techniques known as the Surge of the Brier. Member of The Ciorcal a Ceathair.
- Deirfiúr Dhorcha: Translated as Dark Sister is the title given to the 'Captain of the Guard'; she is essentially the leader of the Nardithi Nightsisters in time of war. She is the overseer of all training aspects within the Coven. Member of The Ciorcal a Ceathair.
- The Coimeadai Seanchais: the appointed lore keeper and guardian of the Leabhar na Scathanna and keeper of the lore.
- Nightsisters: The main body of the Coven.
- Nightbrothers: For procreation purposes and defensive warriors of the Nightsisters
- Membership: In all cases. all females born are granted automatic membership into the Nardathi Nightsister Coven. In rare cases when an outsider is deemed worthy enough to join their ranks, they must prove themselves by undergoing a ritual called Triail an Anama, where they must shed their old lives and embrace the culture, religion, and lifestyle of the Nardithi Nightsister Coven. Only through hard dedication can an outsider achieve the status as Nightsister, and in some cases death has been known to occur to those outsiders who have failed the trials.
- Climate: The Coven is a closed community, only allowing individuals worthy enough to trade or visit. Thier is a sense of pride and loyalty among the Nighsisters of the Coven, protecting one another in life and in death is not just a motto, but a lifestyle.
- Reputation: The Nardithi Nightister Coven has a reputation of solitude and ruthlessness. They chose the solitude of the swamps and bogs of Dathomir to avoid the other Clans and Covens, thus choosing to become different than the traditional Nightsisters. They are hated by all other Covens on Dathomir, and outsiders find it difficult to deal with them for example through trade. They do have corporations that trade with them, but these corporations come with their own unethical reputations.
- Curios: Briathar Anamacha I Leabhar na Scathanna I Dathomir Magic I Energy Bow I Nightsister Dagger I Tamed Rancors I Tamed Ravens I Tamed Saurian Fliers I Tamed Bane Back Spider
- Rules: The An Dlí Dorcha is the code by all Nardithi Nightsisters live by. It's essentially the laws of do and do not set forth for the Coven to follow. Certain laws that are broken can result in exile, but never death.
- Goals: The main and overall goal of the Coven is survival at all costs. Though survival comes in many forms, and one such form is education. It is the role of both older and elder Nightsisters to educate the younger generations, and to be available at all times to answer inquiries on any topic. There are several 'jobs' or roles a Nightsister can play within the Coven from farmer to hunter to religious advocate and so forth. Whatever role they choose, they are expected to excel in that position. The Coven has no plans for expansion, opting only to do so in the event of growth in population that requires the need to do so.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The founding of the Nardithi Nightsisters can be credited to the First Mother, Saoirse, around the time of 575 BBY. The founding of the Coven was a result of a combination of exiles and refugees from a long-drawn-out war between the several Clans on Dathomir. The exact reason for the war cannot be traced, but it is heavily conceived by the elder Clans it was a result of outside interference, mainly from the Hutts when they sought to claim Dathomir; but it's only speculation. The make-shift Clan, in the beginning, were nomadic travelling across Dathomir, but never finding a foothold on any section of the planet. Most of the 'well placed' resources where already dominated by other Clans, and with the memory of infighting still fresh in the minds of all the Nightsisters, the nomadic Nightsisters were shunned away.
Eventually, and practically forced, they settled in the swamps and bogs known as M'un'rior Bog where they slowly began to create a life for themselves. Huts and small farms growing vegetables were first constructed, while hunters were sent into the swamps to catch fish, fowl, and other sources of meat. It was soon after the first death that two changes took place. The first was the introduction of a burial grounds and tombs, opting to break tradition of burial pods. The main reason for this change was the location itself, the pods themselves where too heavy for the swamp branches to hold the bodies of the dead, thus the practice of burying became standard. The second was for the growth of the Coven, and for this they needed male counterparts. Luckily for the Coven, a Nightbrother village was not far off, and an agreement was made with the males that any male child conceived by the Nightsisters would be claimed by the males, whilst all females born children would go to the witches themselves.
As the village began to grow, so did the need for more space, and a second village was created close to the first. At this time the Nightsisters laid to rest their founding Mother, Saoirse, and her predecessor was chosen, Mother Eabha. Mother Eabha came into Clan Mother already sick, but she possessed the wisdom and knowledge to lead the Clan. She had a temple to The Fanged God commissioned but died before seeing the temple fully erect. It was the Third Clan Mother, Clodagh, that began the true reformation of the Nardithi Nightsters Coven.
First, she abolished the traditional hierarchy of one power, the Clan Mother, as the sole leader of the Coven. She believed that one should not possess that much power over the family of Nightsisters, and thus she created the Ciorcal a Ceathair; the ruling council of four members to bring the Nightsisters forward and become the dominate Coven and Clan on Dathomir. Around 650 BBY, Clan Mother Clodagh and the three other members of the Ciorcal a Ceathair began to develop a new language from that of the original Dathomir language and called it Briathar Anamacha. The language started out small, with very few words and alphabets but later sprawled into a massive language among the Nardithi Nightsisters; though the language was looked down upon by the other Dathomirian Clans and Coves.
At 675 BBY, a third village was created as the Nightisters began to grow in population. And by 695 BBY, under Clan Mother Niamh, the city of Siuracha Laochra began to manifest, connecting all three villages into a massive collection, where they lived in prosperity. And in an estimated time of 80 BBY, The Leabhar na Scathanna was created; however, the original copy was lost during the Clone Wars, when Dathomir was invaded and most of the Clans united to fight off the threat. It was during the Imperial Period that Dathomir saw the true effects of occupation when several Imperial bases and fortresses were built along the planet's landscape. Most of the Clans fought but where subjugated or outright eradicated. The Nardithi Nightsisters aided the Imperials during the occupation, helping the Inquisitors, who they shared a connection to the Dark Side, and Stormtroopers hunt down renegade Nightsisters and the occasional hiding Jedi. In turn for their service, they were granted "citizenship" by the Imperialist regime and allowed to live as they did before the occupation. Of course, after the fall of the Empire, the Nardithi Nightsisters became the most hated Coven on Dathomir by their fellow Nightsisters.
Today, the Naradithi Nightsisters live in complete solitude in their swamps and bogs, holding ownership of the M'un'rior Bog, the Nardithi Cluster, the Haunted Lands, and the Oteroa Zer-Twenty ruins. They have opened themselves to trade with corporations and the occasional explorer or visitor, but most in part remain isolated. The Nardithi Nightsisters, those gifted with the Force, are trained in the ways of Dathomir Magic as well as strengthening their connection to the Dark Side. Those who do not possess the ability to conjure magic, are trained first as warriors, then are encouraged to seek positions among the Coven to aid the growth, prosperity, and protection of one another.
