The New Acolyte In Town

A yellow training blade spun around mid-air. A Chiss lady was practicing her skills on a training dummy in a small and cramped room. She made a series of quick and violent flurries at the dummy, causing it to singe and have various cuts. Pulling back, she made a sharp and brutal jab at its chest. As she sheathed the glowing blade, she smirked as she admired her handiwork. The dummy was nearly black all over, as bits and pieces of it fluttered around the room. Sitting down, she began pondering on what to improve on.

A blonde Sith Knight observed the Chiss woman from a distance, simply taking note of the way in which the Chiss was cutting down on the training dummy. It was good that one could beat up a dummy, but fighting an opponent on the battle field was a different story.

Paega walked into the training room, nodding to the Chiss apprentice in greetings. "Hello there. I'm Paega Anginous, your new mentor." she announced.

She hastily glanced at the woman standing behind her, analyzing who her new " mentor " was. She got up, and looked at her through squinted eyes. " Hello. I am Sokrai Ronaro, my lord. " She stated simply, as she gripped the handle of the training blade she was using.

"Its good to see that you've been self-training..." the Sith Knight remarked, crossing her arms across her chest. "There's definitely room for improvement, however." she said simply. Paega then activated her lightsaber, her crimson blade sprang to life before her. "Now, see for yourself what the difference is between fighting a training dummy and fighting a living being. Show me what you've got." she instructed.

She merely nodded as she unsheathed the blade. She swung it around for a second, when she then suddenly struck at Paegea. She moved her hands rapidly, slashing and stabbing with a violent ferocity. She made 3 weighty slashes, followed by a under-arm sweep at Paegea's legs.

Paega had anticipated such sudden, rapid attacks from the apprentice. The Force had alerted her so. Without wasting a single second, the Sith Knight used her crimson blade to block each slash and stab calmly, side-stepping the last slash. Her lightsaber stooped down to clash against Sokrai's infront of her legs. "You need to call on the Force to guide your attacks..."

She stared at Pagea with a cold stare, pondering about what she just said. Call on the force, use it to your advantage... She thought, as she closed her eyes and began trying to tap into the Force. She suddenly opened her eyes, and swung her training blade upright. She made a swift slash at Pagea's feet, and made a stab at her head, and if she didn't block it, she would stop it right before it hit her.

Paega wasn't sure of why the Chiss was giving her such cold stares, the Sith Knight was the one spending her time training the Chiss, after all. Without hesitation, the blonde Sith kept on the defensive and clashed once more near her feet. Paega then redirected the direction that her lightsaber was pointing in order to block the attempted stab towards her head. Without giving the acolyte a chance to move any further, she clashed against the Chiss woman's blade with such force that it was likely to knock it out of Sokrai's hand. "Don't sacrifice your firm grip on the hilt just for faster attacks." she instructed.

Sokrai smirked a little bit when she saw Pagea's confused expression. Although she did not know why she was confused, she was merely concentrated, thus having cold and emotionless looks to her. The training fell out of her hand, but she made a quick turn and caught it with her other hand. She then turned once more to Pagea, now having a firmer grip. "Why don't you make the first move, my lord." She simply stated to her master.

Paega shrugged. "Why don't I make the first move? Because I'm not interested in slicing you in half." she replied, maintaining a defensive stance. She preferred not to go on the offensive against an acolyte, it could end badly for the learner. "I suggest you add some leaps and such to your attacks, acolyte." the Sith Knight instructed, waiting for Sokrai to make her move.

Sokrai sported a scowl for a split-second, but quickly masked it with her usual, emotionless expression. She twirled the blade in a circle, to distract Pagea. As she did this, she tried channeling the force as best as she could, when she struck a weighty slash at her torso. She followed this up with a quick succession of jabs, when she jumped onto the wall, and used it to jump over Pagea and strike at her from behind.

Paega did not hesitate to parry off the attacks that came from the acolyte. The first to come was a slash towards her torso, and the Sith moved her lightsaber upon instinct to easily block the attack. Utilizing her Niman lightsaber form, the blonde dodged the jabs relentless before whirling around to block Sokrai's attack from behind, then threw a kick aimed directly at Sokrai's face. In the likely chance that it hit the Chiss woman, it would probably hurt, but as Sokrai probably knew by now, becoming a Sith wasn't an easy path.

A small sensation appeared in Sokrai's mind, giving a dull sensation of...Of...A kick. Sokrai, deciding to follow this instinct, dodged to the side and proceded to slash downward at Pagea's leg. Sokrai eyes widened a little bit, as she realized that the sensation was some form of the Force. She smiled, as she fully realized this.

Paega smirked as the Chiss dodged her kick. Perhaps this one had at least some potential, she mused to herself as she instinctively parried the slash coming down towards her leg. "You need to stop hesitating when you attack..." she instructed, clashing her blade against the acolyte's.

"Thanks." She replied, as she raised her blade once again. Now, managing to channel the force in a limited form, she channeled it to the training saber, masking what her future moves would be. She made a mad stab at her chest cavity, and feigned a slash at her arm. Right as it moved it she swung the blade back and slashed at her legs once more, the training saber a blur.

"You're getting better..." Paega complimented as she moved to block Sokrai's attacks. The acolyte's saber may have been moving in a blur, but then Paega was moving herself in a blur as well. The Sith Knight gave no further chance for attack by the acolyte by performing a backward leap to avoid the stab and swing that came towards her. "Put more effort into your attacks, though." she commanded, lightsaber moves weren't supposed to be easy after all, and if it was easy, they were easily blockable.
