The New Imperial-I is an attempt by military planners to establish a new ‘mainline’ Star Destroyer for the New Imperial Order. With the New Imperial Order mainly having purchased its vessels from corporations in foreign space, it soon became apparent that the New Imperial Order required its own homegrown military assets given the fickle nature of corporate politics. And so, the New Imperial-I was born of that. Taking on aesthetic similarities to the infamous imperial-class Star Destroyer, there are a number of similarities.
First and foremost, the New Imperial-Class sports a greater array of weapons, shields and point defence weaponry. This coupled with a sturdy compositely built hull made of taut and effective materials, and composite shields. Additionally, the engines have been calibrated for a speed higher than most vessels of its size. In fact, compared to most other star destroyers, the New Imperial-I is an above average vessel in armour, weapons and speed. Where it falls down however in its lack of maneuvering power and lesser hangar, as well as the traditional lack of weapons to the rear.
