The new site

There was smoke from the explossions taking place at the foot of the mountain. It rushed upward in a powerful line only to gently turn around and sprinkle its way downward.

Sempra raised his glass toward [member="Mongo Booshi Mella"] in the sailing barge he had brought with them to oversee the first steps of this new mining operation.

"Dear friend, here is to your second mining facility - may it bring you as much joy and wealth as the one on Kalandra!" Sempra toasted. He turned his head and watched the machines marked Mella Industries being unloaded on the site.

"I can not help but marvel at the mining industry. I am sure my slaves are helping but the real joy here are your machines. You have to tell me how all this works Mongo." He added with an honest voice.
Sempra was a crude bussiness man himself but apart from spice mining he had little experience from advanced mining such as this.

"Sempra, my dear cousin." he said speaking Huttian, his tongue rolling from side to side tasting his lip's wetting them in this hot arid air. "There's this great machinery I received, from a Mandalorian company." the round grubby digit rolling in his palm as he withdrew a holo-disk and slid it towards [member="Sempra the Hutt"]. "Five Kyrvhetine class mobile mining facility." he explained, using the visuals ques of the holo-disk describing the giant spider like construct. "I sell all the ore I get from four of these at twenty percent to Mandal Hypernautics. And I keep the remaining. I'm in that contract with them for the next decade which I'll buy back twenty percent of the company. It's a long run operation mind you."

Sempra watched the display of the impressive and to him geniously planned operation. He could not follow all the technical details that [member="Mongo Booshi Mella"] explained but enjoyed the conversation non the less.

"Your deal seem a profitable one. There is nothing against allowing others to taste ones wealth, as long as one ends up with the winning prize. Sempra chuckled.He downed one of the slugs Mongo so often brought along wherever he ventured.

"I am myself considering wether or not I need to reach out to another company in order to construct those space vessels that we might soon be needing to defend our interests. The Mandalorians are well known for their machinery of war. Perhaps that is an acceptable path for us." Sempra asked and reached out form some more grapes. All the time the large mining machines kept drilling and hissing.

"But then, [member="Xander Black"] is a very energetic and clever manufacturer. With this ore we might see even further improvements to our future fleet cousin."

"You've made most wise decisions brother, from Xander Black, I hear he was able to produce ships in such a small time, no small feat. And that of Admiral Mcnash, I've had men put on a payroll to keep an eye on him. And to say we could not have picked a better admiral, he has a code of honour, most pirates lack it but he will not betray us, you have given him something he most desires, and that is his legacy, he will be known as the Cartel greatest commander. And you have the bank books of the man of Neon, I trust in your decision."

He opened his mouth the tongue running the length the rivulets and bands of saliva rolling down onto his chin, as he ate an eel. "But improving our relationship with the Mandalorians, through purchase would be good. They're my second favourite mercenary you know, only second to droids. They get the job done, but you gotta treat em right."

[member="Sempra the Hutt"]

The Victory I-Class Heavy Cruiser exited hyperspace with the escort of a Consular c70 retrofit cruiser. The Victory Class was The Onslaught, theflagship of Fleet Admiral William Kerkov. The Smaller escort was only The Peacekeeper, one of the more lesser known ships of the Open Circle Armada. William Kerkov had heard of the opening of a new mining facility, one not only owned by the Hutts, a more familiar clientele. Kerkov had hopes of making a contract with the Hutt Cartel about defending the newly established mining facility. It would be very beneficial to the mercenary group and Kerkov was sure to make it happen.

"This is Fleet Admiral Kerkov, I am looking for whoever is heading this operation. I have a proposition for you"

[member="Mongo Booshi Mella"] [member="Sempra the Hutt"]

"Oh clever [member="Mongo Booshi Mella"], your words are burrowing into my mind as these Eels find the inside of our bellies." Sempra replied and grabbed a second of the delicious creatures.

"I belive that if this mining prohject fals out well there is no end to how large Mella Industries can become." Sempra narrowed his eyes and pondered as they watched the machines at work.

"Would you serve as our ambassador toward the Mandalorians if need be great Mongo? It seems you already have the conections required."

As [member="William Kerkov"] was heard over the com Sempra turned his head toward Mongo.

"This one is an ambitious one, but not one of Mcnashes pirates. He have yet to have agreed to serve the Cartel openly but I see potential and keep an eye on him. Do you wish to hear him?"

"You do me too much credit, and yes I'll use my connections if it pleases you." he said, the rolls of fat vibrating with the heavy throaty gurgle as he ate greedily. "Let him speak, but be warned he is a prideful man. Flannigan remarked on that to me, even if he is in the presence of his betters."

[member="Sempra the Hutt"]

Sempra nodded and opened a channel to [member="William Kerkov"].

"Good day to you Admiral. This is Sempra Besadii Dhakun and with me is the most generous and wise [member="Mongo Booshi Mella"]." he started.

"What honor us with the prescence of the OCA?"

Kerkov now had their attention, and he would use it wisely,

"A little birdie told me that a new operation was being set up all the way out here and it seems my mercenary group is a little short on... contracts. Now I offer you and your counterpart the protection of the Armada for a small price. As reinsurance that we will protect your facility, I will leave my escort The Peacemaker. And all you have to do is sign a small contract. How does that sound, my friend?"

[member="Sempra the Hutt"] [member="Mongo Booshi Mella"]

Sempra blinked.

"It is assuring to know that our safety concerns you Admiral. Such a contract would be interesting. Although, However, I must let you know that the Cartel must consider those internal companies and their prosperity first and foremost." Sempra tried with a sad voice.

"Let me discuss the matter at hand with [member="Mongo Booshi Mella"] and we will let you know our answer shortly." the hutt muted the com and turned to his fellow hutt with the question at hand.

"Do you belive it would be a contract that interest you? It is your facility most generous Mongo"

[member="William Kerkov"]

"I am weary of the OCA." he said, tampering his word's with the throaty rumble of his jowls. "They are not apart of us, and to put operations in their hands so carelessly. If they were to band under us, maybe I'd consider it. But as it stands the mercenary only owes loyalty to the credit."

[member="Sempra the Hutt"]

Sempra hmmd a moment to himself. Fully aware of that [member="William Kerkov"] had dodged the Cartel Umbrella recently.

He opened the com-channel again.

"Greetings Admiral. We have discussed the matter and as for securing our facilities. We are after all looking upon a long term arrangement. As such we can not trust an outside source to provide this. It would mean an insult to those already loyaly operating under our rule."

[member="Mongo Booshi Mella"]

Entering the mine of [member="Mongo Booshi Mella"], Xander stopped for a moment. He was only here to see how well the phrik mining was going, and to be perfectly honest he wasn't ready for what he saw. Mines everywhere, each digging into sections of the earth below them. It was almost scary to see just how well they were doing.

Walking into the main room, The Cowboy bowed slightly towards the two Hutts. Slowly, he got back to a vertical position, letting it dawn on him just how business minded and business man like he'd become since starting work in Half Angel. He started at both hutts, eyes scanning the room. Listening to the coms, he shook his head.

"Good news?"

[member="Sempra the Hutt"]
[member="William Kerkov"]
[member="Mongo Booshi Mella"]

"Ah mr Black, yes, the mining facility is well under the way, it seems we have even drawn some outside attention." he answered making sure the com was mute again.

"The facility will recieve the necessary funding and protection. I will see to it personally if need be. On the question about when the first mined material can be refined... well I'll leave that question to the great Mongo who is more reliable on such matters." Sempra grinned. Meanwhile, he kept an eye on the com if Kerkov would choose to reply.

[member="William Kerkov"][member="Mongo Booshi Mella"][member="Xander Black"]

Kerkov was very disappointed, he had come all the way out here for nothing. But nonetheless, he understood why the Cartel rejected him. He was miffed, but Kerkov would get over it soon enough,

"I see, well then I guess I will see both of you another time."

The two ships began to turn 180 degrees, slowly but surely they got their. And in a blur, the presence of the OCA left into hyperspace
