- Slow Moving - The size of the vessel coupled with its focus on armaments, defenses, and hangar capacity has caused it to neglect other capabilities such as speed. This can have a drawback in that, faster escort vessels that operate alongside the Observance must slow down lest they outrun the larger vessel. This can cause additional problems in that the overall fleet composition must maintain a slower pace to properly defend the larger command vessel.

- Turning in March 20XX - Another area neglected in its focus on armaments, defenses, and hanger capacity is its capability of making rapid maneuvers or any maneuver in general. While it is capable of making turns and not forced to travel in a direct line - in order to do so takes time and planning to execute even the slightest of maneuvers.
- Fast Moving Targets - Despite its overlapping fields of fire and a number of automated weapon systems specifically deployed to deal with faster-moving vessels - the Observance still has trouble when dealing with these smaller crafts. This can often result in the Observance having to deploy Starfighter squadrons to dislodge these faster vessels as they are capable of slipping between the fields of fire and getting closer to the hull of the vessel.
- Eshan Accords - While capable of fielding and ultimately deploying a Phlegethon Thermonuclear Device, it is only capable of doing such in limited quantities due to an accord that was developed following the Mandalorian Invasion of Eshan when such weapons were deployed en masse against the enemy fleet. This safety feature only permits one such device being deployed at a time - and limits the time between deployments to prevent rapid or en masse strikes.
- Outer Hangars Exposed - Partially due to the Hexagonal design of the vessel - hanger bays are pointed directly outwards along the perimeter of the vessel. And, though they are heavily defended, they are still vulnerable and exposed to enemy fire - making for easier targets for those that are seeking to knock out its capability to deploy any kind of Starfighter or Support Squadrons.
- Debris Collector - A side-effect that comes with the utilization of its Gravity Well Projectors - is the attraction of Space Debris when these systems are fully operational and deployed. Though larger pieces are often targetted and dispatched by the gunner crews, smaller pieces of debris can be easily missed, leading to potentially catastrophic damage or problems that could lower the operational efficiency of the vessel.
- HIMS - The Hyperwave Inertial Momentum Sustainer is a specialized component that is often installed on vessels - specifically warships - that assists in overcoming the effects of the Mass Shadows generated by a Gravity Well Projector. This system effectively creates a sustained bubble of hyperspace around a vessel and counteracts the effects of an Interdiction field by preventing the vessel from being torn from Hyperspace into Realspace. However, it should be noted, that this system does not permit a vessel to flee from Realspace into Hyperspace when already under the effects of an Interdiction Field.
- Energy Drain - When the Gravity Well Projectors are deployed, they create a sustained drain and overall strain on the vessel's internal systems. So much power is drained in fact during normal operation, that the Observance is otherwise incapable of utilizing its weapon systems to their fullest extent and efficiency. In such an instance, substantial damage or a sustained assault on the vessel will often force the Captain to choose between keeping the Projectors operational to prevent an enemy from fleeing, or the safety of the vessel and its crew.
- Time Delay - Though capable of producing Mass Shadows via its multiple Gravity Well Projectors - these systems take time to fully powerup and deploy. While slower vessels are more hardpressed to escape the area and jump to Hyperspace, smaller, more agile vessels have the potential of slipping past and fleeing.
- Berth Shields - In order to properly deploy the Corvettes or Frigates from their Berths, the shields over these areas must be lowered to permit the vessels to slip free. In these instances, the internal structure of the berths and the vessel itself is rendered vulnerable to enemy fire. This can potentially cause additional or catastrophic damage to internal systems that would render the berth unusable or render the Observance itself incapacitated.
- Starfighter Exchange - While the Observance is capable of carrying Corvettes or Frigates in its berths, it does so at the cost of Starfighter Squadrons - having to choose between supporting a full Squadron or removing them to maintain one of the previously mentioned vessels. An example is that, in order to maintain a 100-meter length Corvette, the Observance must forego supporting a full Starfighter Squadron - effectively removing one squadron per 100 meters of vessel for its berths.
- Broadside of a Mountain - The vessel is a relatively sizeable target and can easily be struck by an individual merely pointing their weapons in its general direction. If an individual manages to miss the vessel, may we suggest a visit to your local optical specialist for a checkup.
- One of a Kind - There is only one Observance, and if it is destroyed, there is no replacing the vessel.
