During its renovation, the RIB discovered star charts and advanced sensor equipment left behind from the Emperor's era, suggesting that Palpatine had used the location to study celestial phenomena and predict future events. Inspired by this discovery, and by the facility's heightened surveillance capabilities, the RIB christened the base "The Observatory." Today, The Observatory serves as a critical center for intelligence gathering and covert operations, playing a vital role in protecting the Republic's interests in an increasingly turbulent galaxy.
