Operations: The Orion Corporation is devoted to discovering breakthroughs in military technology. Primarily focusing on the Development and Research of Technologically Advanced Armour and Weapons Systems. With its recent growth, the Orion Corporation has now begun to develop and manufacture droids and unmanned drones.
Rationale:
During his long military career, Slate used his adequate skills of engineering to build and upgrade custom weapons that proved to be more durable and reliable than the weapon systems provided by the Galactic Republic Army. He began to sell these weapons to the soldiers in his company and squad for a cheap price, making a small profit as he did so. To begin with, Slate didn't think much about his part time job / hobby, but after time he started to realise some of the pros of starting his own Military Hardware.
The military hardware store he created was The Orion Corporation. Starting off with buying and reselling weapons and armour, the company didn't make much profit this was mostly because of the various other companies like this that were already known for higher quality products. Even though business and profit was down, Slate continued investing his time and money into the company hoping for a positive outcome.
However, sales and business finally picked up when the Orion Corporation took a risk and began to design unique, minor produced weapons. These new products proved to be much more reliable, durable and most importantly cheaper than the products of competing companies. With business booming and profit income higher than ever, Slate was able to buy a facility on Anaxes which was capable of mass producing simple devices and products. This opened a doorway which would allow The Orion Corporation to grow in size and production capabilities.

The Orion Corporation was founded on the thought of making the battlefield safer and more survivable for soldiers who risked their lives in wars. The founder, Slate Estrada, also realised that the sentient or living aspect of war cannot be completely expelled. He knew from experience that an army consisting of only droids could never be effective as an army of living and breathing soldiers. Knowing that life would always be endangered during war, The Orion Corporation sought to lower the danger and risk these soldiers faced with the use of the latest technology.
The minerals and materials that make the products of The Orion Corporation are all purchased from mining and refining companies. This makes the process of manufacturing more expensive and the final refined material higher quality. The high quality of the products is one of the company’s key selling points, meaning that unless The Orion Corporation is planning to perform their own refining and extracting of resources, they will have to continue to buy and use the materials provided by mining / refining businesses.
Being a part of the Galactic Republic Army, the CEO and founder refuse to sell any products to the Sith or criminal organisations in case they would be used during wars or crimes. Slate Estrada believes that if their products are used in illegal Gang wars or in skirmishes against the Republic forces, his company would develop a bad name and business will suffer, consequently leading to less profit for the company. Along with its minor and mass produced products, The Orion Corporation also takes requests for unique items. Popular unique items and products are primarily weapon systems however, The Orion Corporation is happy to develop armour and munitions as well.
Even after the death of the founder, Slate Estrada, the company continues to enforce his policies. The new owner, Jaccer Ramirez, has also pushed for the development of brand new and exotic weapons and armour so that the company can continue its previous success and guarantee its future as a leading arms and equipment manufacturer.
