On fringe worlds there's only one type of justice, and it's dispersed from the barrel of a gun. When all hell broke loose and people were being sucked into the netherworld the galaxies arm makers saw opportunity to capitalize on weapons that would fit the simple role of putting holes in things you didn't want living anymore. So the very simple and easy to use Outlaw was coined by Stargo Defense Enterprises. This weapon is very straight forward, the shotgun is lever action that can deliver death to about a effective range of thirty meters and uses a single top barrel to fire. It's small, tight, and capable of being used with one hand. However this isn't recommended since it will diminish the weapons already decreased accuracy. It's capable of piercing light to medium armor with the right round, such as a buck shot or solid slug, but against heavy armor such as Beskar or even a thick coat of durasteel the weapon will not pierce the armor and will do nothing more than put the target on it's butt for a few seconds due to the kinetic energy in the round or leave a few bruises to tell about in the morning.

But the weapon is loaded with faults. It's low range even for a shotgun is caused by it's lack of stock, it comes equipped with a pistol grip and this greatly affects the weapons accuracy. The aiming mechanism on the Outlaw are simple iron sights and there are no rails attached to the top for any new fancy sights. The user can modify their own to accommodate such a sight but if the weapon is damaged or needing repairs Stargo will not accept any modified weapons for repair. The weapon has a very good kick to it and the user has to be strong or experienced to be able to handle the weapon without a butt stock helping to reduce recoil. Additional faults come in as well with it's reload speed, each shell has to be loaded into the shotgun's tube individually causing for a slower reload time often leaving operators of the weapon to have loose shells in pockets or bandoliers.

All in all the outlaw is a great weapon system for any persons operating in a close quarters combat situation, it works great against those pesky force users with lightsabers and it performs well enough. You can run through the mud and submerge it in water and the weapon will function due to it's simple design. It has a lot of accuracy problems and can be a bit bulky in the users hands but for the most part it is a must have for individuals with simple tastes.

[member="Patricia Susan Garter"] - Few notes, I'd like the following included, but excellent work so far:

  • A sample menu/selection of shells (further can be developed/subbed, but a default listing of what would come 'standard' when you buy the gun)
  • Class of armor each load/shell can pierce, range on it, variance of spread from default 'buckshot' or whatever the standard round is (if any)
  • The pix subbed shows three barrels, the sub is unclear- does this fire one shot, two shot, or three at the same time?
  • How is the reload on this compared to a standard shotgun?
  • You say 'against heavier armor'... I would advise adding in a statement to ceiling this, as i doubt almost any slugthrower short of heavy guns/emplacements would stagger/knock over power armor, etc..

Thank you!
