The Padawan Learner

Quinn sat in an unused room just off a side corridor. The academy was always a busy place, so finding a room like this was almost a gift from whoever was above. He sat crossed legged, meditating. He slowly shook his head, opening his eyes.

The first Master he ran into was [member="Maya Whitelight"]. She was nice enough, conducted his first lesson in the academy. Technically he wasn't looking for her, he was looking for anyone who'd be willing to teach, and she seemed like a person who's always willing.

"Master, do you have a moment?" He asked, a little bow on the end for good measure. He had always been polite, and since joining The Order Of The Silver Jedi he didn't see a reason to stop. All he could help is that she had a moment.

As if the whisper of the force spoke to her very depth. Just why had this one [member="Quinn Michaels"] been on her mind, taking note of him in one of her open training class. It also was something more, as if sometimes the elements of the force taking a hold. As if the wind would swirl around. Did the chiss had greatness in him. No question in her mind he did. A balance would have to be seen, one could be seen even know. Hard working working independence.

There was Quinn as if one knew that he been on her mind. After all one like her had many hats to put on, not always. Finding it not hard at all to giving him a warm greeting. "Yes I do padawn Michaels, if you would like to follow me to the gardens?"

One place she spend a lot of time at even those she had now full trained a couple of botanist to care of the gardens. It was just a place that one like herself felt more of the balance that was out in nature.

Quinn followed [member="Maya Whitelight"] through an unexplored part of the temple and out into the gardens. The place was somewhere he'd never really been, and he instantly regretted not ever coming here. The gardens were beautiful places, forcing Quinn to instantly feel calm, calmer than he had been when the pirates attacked Csilla while he was visiting his family. I mean, even then he had been forced to call upon the force to sort of push the pirates away. That's how he was so good at levitating the ball, if we ignored how strong he was with the force.

Finally, they stopped. They stopped in a small corner of the gardens, yet it was also the nicest bit of the gardens. Quinn spent a moment before carrying on with his question. "Master, I wondered if you had a moment to teach me the ways of the force push and the force pull?" he asked slightly, quietly. He stood there, withdrawing a small, silver ball from his pocket. He quickly demonstrated what he knew, yet the ball didn't move. He shrugged for a few moments, before explaining that he needed help.

Even as walked her steps in the grass part of the garden her foot steps being light. It was after which time she turn this was the oldest part of the garden a part that she single handed brought back to life. It being a part of so much over growth. It was the ability to have to be very quiet and listen to the life forms itself. Came the reason for wanting to speak with her.

Quietly she took the ball out of his hand. Thinking for a long time for reason of her own. How she would try to teach him how to push and pull in the force.

Seeing the had already spend a lot of time doing this or at less trying to make this force skill to come about. "Lets us do something else beside using this ball.", pausing to wait for a nod and him to speak if he wished to. Finding herself going over to what seem to be over grown branches with leave life.

First thing she did was raised her hand up and pushed as if their was some wind to her hand then she then pulled them the same way. "Think of it like the wind when it blows leaves, let it be this way to move the same as the wind does with either blowing forward or backward. Do you understand? "

[member="Quinn Michaels"]

Quinn nodded. He sort of understood why Master [member="Maya Whitelight"] was using the wind to explain it. In a way, force push and force pull could be classed as strong winds, blowing from your body. He smiled at the thought, eyeing Maya. "Yes Master, I understand why you are using the ways of force push and force pull as wind, because they are technically wind blowing from your body". He chuckled. He almost wondered if he was being too logical for his own good. Then again, could you ever be not logical enough?

He raised his palm towards a small leaf floating around. He almost tried to imagine that there was wind coming from his hands, and after channeling his force powers into it, the leaf slowly moved about half a meter across the floor. To most people that would of seemed poor, but to Quinn he'd finally achieved something he never knew he'd be able to do.

He then imagined the wind changing direction, blowing towards him. He found this easier to do, and the leaf easily flew up into his hand. He eyed it for a few moments. The leaf was red, just fitting for the time of year. He then threw the leaf up, slowly channeling the force into pushing it again. It sort of went alright. It went further than last time, but it still didn't reach that meter mark.

Bring to a smile after which watching him do what asked of him. Chosen to close her own eyes, as he did was spoken. This feeling what little was made of the leaves. "Yes its one thing to do this with a leaf.", why did she want to start with leave, then the ball. For reason that knowing that with just learning their was many variables that could happen, with some kind of object that was heaver that would mean more higher chance of some kind of mishaps.

Letting this thought leave her mind to open up to look once again at [member="Quinn Michaels"]. Knowing now with out a doubt that this one would be very different. To with out anything else he would be a good student more so then some under the academy roof. "Very good, Quinn, you are doing good, at learning this push and pull.", wondering if should try something bigger like a branch of a tree, or maybe something more solid.

"Now that you can move it toward you and away from you. Like lifting the ball up, the lesson before, I want you to feel the leaf just like you would pushing or pulling on the door to a room. Picture yourself reaching out with a hand to pick it up to bring it towards you.", but she held up her hand for a minute. Taking a hold of the leaf as it being very delicate so your hold can't be tight like that of on a door handle, but that of something to take with care.", just why did she say what she had done with this one. Finding it the best way to give him use to using different pressure with different object. Even those once he got it would be as easy as lifting a feather to all that he wants to push or pull.
