Originally purchased from a high-end jeweler on Zeltros, the Pearl of Zeltros was intended to be a simply gift from Joza Perl to her daughter, Nida Perl. Unsure if her daughter would be able make much use of the necklace given her Jedi lifestyle, Joza sought to impart the gem with a few key Force aspects that would aid Nida on her journey as a healer.
The Pearl exudes a passive calming aura similar to the effects of Zeltron pheromones, without the suggestive undertones, that can span a regular-sized room .When the user feeds energy into the amulet, the calming effect is enhanced and can increase in range.
Meditation can enhance the effects of the Pearl, which influence the user’s ability of force sense. Specifically, it allows the user to detect organics and basic biological functions (breathing, digestion, circulation, etc.). The intent behind this is to assist Nida in treating patients, allowing her to pinpoint injuries and illnesses quicker and with more clarity. In the same realm of possibilities is the simple detection of organic life, and the ability to discern an opponent’s physical weaknesses. However, the abilities of the Pearl are limited to that of the user. As the amulet feeds off of the user’s energy, it’s effects can only become stronger if it is regularly used by Nida. If another organic attempts to use the Pearl, they would have to restart the process of bonding for this Force item to be of any use.
