GENERAL INFORMATION
Organization Name: The Petrite Order (a.k.a The Petrite Cult, The Cult of Petrichor)
Classification: Sith order
Affiliation: Darth Petrichor
Organization Symbol: The symbol of the Order is based off of old Sith alchemical symbols, and represents a balance to be found within the dark side.
Description: The Petrite Order is a new branch of Sith philosophy following the teachings of Darth Petrichor. They function as a Sith order outside of common Sith practice, and do their best to maintain a level of secrecy so that their ideals may eventually develop into something more. Their ideals are much more controlled than those of common dark side users, and thus they are often seen as heretics.
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Headquarters: Lehon, The Fulcrum. The Fulcrum functions as an academy for force-users seeking to follow the teachings of Darth Petrichor, as well as a base of operations for the Order.
Domain: The Order does not hold claim to any area outside of the Fulcrum. Rather, members are sent out to individually teach The Way of Equanimity in secret. They may develop a safe house here and there, but all new recruits are inevitably sent back to Lehon for further training.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
Hierarchy:
Darth Petrichor is the all-encompassing leader of the Order. Beneath him is a chain of command as follows:
Curators- a select few of ideal followers who oversee various aspects of the Order. They are the inner circle of the Order, and function as a High Council would.
Lexicons- individuals who have proven their worth, and often act as instructors in the academy at the Fulcrum. Equivalent to masters.
Excerpts- masters equal in rank to the Lexicons, but focused on individually spreading the teachings of Petrichor throughout the galaxy.
Volumes- these make up most of the body of the Order. They work to maintain the grounds of the Fulcrum, as well as provide security for the Order. Equivalent to knights.
Pages- those who are the newest additions to the Order. They are yet to prove themselves, and are looked upon with much scrutiny. Equivalent to apprentices.
Membership: The exact number of members of the Order is unknown, although common estimations place their numbers between a few hundred and a thousand. It is a very eclectic organization, with a wide range of races within the ranks of the Order. The Order recruits via the word of the Excerpts. Excerpts pull recruits from many sources, so long as the recruits are strong in the Force and show potential for following the creed of the Petrite Doctrine.
Climate: The Order is a philosophical institution at its core. The goal of the Order is to alter the course of dark side practices, and in doing so provide darksiders with a way to be at peace with their alignment within the Force. Due to this, the atmosphere around the Order does not focus on competition or usurpation of power. Harmony in the dark side is the goal. If a member goes against the ideals of The Way of Equanimity, then they are met with consequences. The atmosphere within the Order is largely one of cooperation and mutual respect. Those who cannot adhere to this collective existence will be seen as a liability, and thus be exiled. In more extreme cases, the punishment is more severe.
Reputation: The reception of the Order is a bit of a mixed bag. To those within the ranks of the Jedi, it is often viewed as another dark side cult. The perception of the Order among the Sith is also troublesome. Many Sith view Darth Petrichor as a heretic, and therefore see the existence of the Order as blasphemy to Sith doctrine. Oddly enough, the least hostile group seems to be those of a greyer disposition. The Order lands somewhere on the darker side of the grey, so many grey Jedi aren’t immediately perturbed by its existence. Rather, they are wary of it, and approach its existence with an extended level of caution.
Curios: The Petrite Order does not burden themselves with heavy usage of symbolism. In fact, they largely see such displays of association as weak and counterproductive to their ideals. They also prefer to avoid attention, and therefore do not want to expose themselves further. In extreme situations, they do use a number of code phrases and hand signals to identify each other (but the use of such methods is kept to a minimum).
Rules: The Order strictly follows the ideals found within The Way of Equanimity. Practitioners are darksiders who value restraint and understanding above blind rage and pain. They understand that emotion is natural, but also toxic if mishandled. They are one of the more controlled variations of Sith ideology. These ideals must be followed in order to remain within the Order. In the event that a member fails to control their emotions, actions are taken to prevent hurt to the Order.
Goals: The Order largely focuses on spreading the ideas of Darth Petrichor. They seek to alter the perception of the Sith, and to bring in a new era of Sith philosophy that will change the course of those who follow the dark side. They hold no imperial aims, but rather operate from the shadows in an effort to create a better future for the Sith.
MEMBERS
-Darth Petrichor
-Roughly a hundred Lexicons spread throughout different parts of the Order (most are Excerpts).
-A little under a thousand members of various lower ranks.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Petrite Order was founded by Darth Petrichor after years of searching the galaxy for enlightenment and clarity. He spent many years researching various aspects of the Force, and eventually concluded that this knowledge was only important if shared. He looked upon the ruins of the Rakata and understood that the Sith were doomed to continuously repeat this tragic fate. Therefore, he published The Way of Equanimity in an effort to change the minds of his Sith brethren. While there were many who viewed this work as an important addition to the Sith philosophical lexicon, there were many who deemed it heretical in nature. Petrichor had to leave the greater Sith society due to continuous threats to his life. He went into exile, eventually taking on the occasional apprentice. Over time, he found more and more that understood his teachings, and decided to construct the Order with a new fiery hope for progress within the Sith. Now it stands on the fringes of Sith society, operating from the shadows in the hopes for a more progressive future for the Sith.
There can be no freedom without passion.
Through passion, I find strength.
Through strength, I find patience.
Through patience, I find peace.
Through peace, I find freedom.
The Force shall be my tool, my weapon, and my guide.
Through passion, I find strength.
Through strength, I find patience.
Through patience, I find peace.
Through peace, I find freedom.
The Force shall be my tool, my weapon, and my guide.
