The Planet of Lakes [Open to OP members on Naboo]

When was the last time she had really gotten out and gone anywhere? The question was poised to herself as her golden-yellow hues watched the streaks of light rush pass her view screen. The vessel she was on had been traveling through hyperspace for a good time now and she was hoping that she would reach her destination. There had been plenty of times when her friend had come and seen her world, and now she decided to repay those trips with a surprise visit of her own. With a soft smile her hand ran along the head of the nexu that was by her side, a constant companion for the woman. Watching as the stars continued to streak pass the screen.
With a soft pull at her body the vessel dropped out of hyperspace, the stars slowing and no longer moving. Then the jewel that she had been looking forward to appeared before her. Naboo, a world of lakes and beauty, a place she had always desired to visit and now it was long over due. There would be very little time for visits such as this in the coming days when she was crowned, for now though she pushed those thoughts out of her mind. She was here to visit her friend and invite the Queen to the Baroness' own coronation.
With a smile tugging at her lips she waited patiently. The vessel she was on was the Amarok class Cruiser, the Hera. It had become a stately vessel in that it had become the symbol that carried the Autarch of the newly formed Avidonian Dominion. Looking over to the communications officer, she nodded before the message was sent out.
"Naboo planetary flight control. This is the ADS HERA, carrying the soon to be Duchess, Baroness Raulyn Hawkshaw Magrath on a diplomatic mission. Requesting landing vector for private vessel and permission for personal guards."
As the message was sent out, the Baroness nodded softly to herself before turning on her heels. The Nexu getting up and following her, though a bit wobbly, the beast had never gotten use to traveling through space with its mistress. At her other side, following close as always was her old friend Colonel Mathias III, the commander of the Fenrir Guard.
"Try not to scare too many."
It was a soft jest at her friend as she smiled to the armored man whom was always worried about her safety. There was always that thought that if anything happened to her though, she knew just how hard her friend would be if it happened and he were so near yet unable to prevent it. She always reassured him though that if it happened, then he would need to focus on keeping her children and many heirs protected as they tore through the galaxy looking for the one whom took the Baroness' life.
Those thoughts though were not for now, and she of course pushed them out of her mind as a smile grew upon her lips, pulling at the edge as it very well nearly turned to a soft smirk. Brushing her hand over her gown, she let out a soft sigh as she stepped out into the modest hanger bay, the old Lambda class Shuttle waiting to carry her down to the world below.

The Eternal Queen
The job of an elected monarch was never easy, but in her case it was even more so true. In the last four years of her rule alone, she'd reversed one of the worst economic depressions on Naboo in over five hundred years, Carried her people through an invasion, prevented a war, and all this while trying to balance life with two teenage daughters. Well, one teenage daughter soon.
Celeste was easy. Celeste gave her no problems. Celeste stayed back on Imerria most of the time and was generally well behaved.
Felicity... was not. Felicity gave her grey hairs. Felicity ran off and traveled and adventured without getting proper clearance to do so. Felicity would be living elsewhere for a while.

Oh, her husband did not approve at all. Her husband never approved when Feena chose to pry into their daughters life. Keter was far too soft on the girls. If he had his choice, he would probably let them run wild. He didn't understand that it took discipline to raise proper young ladies. She just wanted her girls to grow up well, with every single skill they could need. It was all love, really.

The Queen propped herself up on her desk in a very unladylike fashion. Face leaning on her hand, smearing makeup as her other hand flew across her datapad. There was much to do. Her schedule was full- Oh. That was interesting. It was full, save for a block that she'd cleared. Why did she do that again? She straightened up, pushing a hand through her freshly dyed black hair.

Oh! Of course! She was expecting a visitor. She grinned, catching her reflection in the smooth glossy surface of her desk. She looked like madness personified. Good thing she noticed the change in her schedule, or else her dear old friend would walk in to find her looking like, well, that.

"Couldn't have that, could we?" she mumbled to herself, standing up to go refresh her hair and makeup.

The sight from the shuttle was nothing to be compared to as the sight from the bridge of the Hera that now rest in orbit above Naboo. The Baroness whom so often sat forward, had decided that it was best to remain in the back and ensure that she herself was in a more than presentable fashion when she arrived in Theed. After all, she was there for not only a visit, she was also looking forward to returning home with a new guest. Those plans had been put in motion ages ago and the Baroness was already wondering just how this new guest was going to act. With a soft smile her hand ran along the head of the Nexu, her golden-yellow hues darting around the passenger cabin to the handful of Fenrir Guardsmen that stood silently while the Colonel remained staring at a datapad.
A soft smile crossed her lips and she wondered which of the Guardsmen she would need to reprimand when it came to the new guest. The thought though was pushed swiftly out of her mind when she remembered the young woman's age before that devilish little smirk crossed her lips as she thought of her youth and how she enjoyed tormenting some of the guards assigned to her. Those same thoughts seemed to be recreated with the image of the Dear Queen's daughter in the Baroness' place.
Feeling the vessel shimmy slightly was a clear sign that it had already found its way through the atmosphere and she knew that they would be touching down shortly. She was a bit excited to find out what was about to happen as she stood up and ran her hand along her gown. Listening to the pilot as the shuttle moved towards the royal hangers.
"This is the Lambda shuttle Peisinoe, carrying Autarch of the Avidonian Dominion, the Baroness soon to be Duchess Raulyn Hawkshaw Magrath. Requesting permission to land in the Royal Hangers."
Closing her eyes for a moment, she mused at the thought of how long her little title had become in the pass few days. A small giggle was soon stifled by the back of her hand pressed to her lips to cover her mouth. Her free hand still slowly stroking at the fur of the large Nexu at her side.

Feena herself would meet the Baroness. It was only right, of course. She was a Queen, true, but she was a friend first. Besides that, it was not very often that she had an entire afternoon block to herself! She wanted to get out and enjoy it. She was certain that she'd been staring at her desk for the past three years straight.

So, after she'd fixed herself up to look at least presentable, hair up away from her face, a new set of traditional Naboo attire, fresh face paint, she was off again to meet the shuttle as it arrived in the Palace hangar bay. Her daughters would be along soon. The girls, no doubt, were running late again. Feena had a feeling that she knew exactly why as well.

As the shuttle turned the final corner in its approach, the Baroness stood up and let out a deep breath that she had been holding for a moment. Her eyes closed as she calmed herself, always feeling a bit nervous with little meetings like this, even when she had already met the person many times before. That though was what she felt made a good leader, being able to be nervous and own up to it, to show her own people that being nervous was normal and that all beings felt it. Slowly opening her eyes, she glanced forward through the screen of the cockpit, a soft smile crossing her lips as she saw her friend waiting for her already. Though she was a bit disappointed that the girls had not arrived yet, though she could easily understand the reasoning why.
With a soft shaking, the shuttle landed in the royal hanger bay, the Baroness smiling as she ran her hand along her Nexu, the animal always with her where ever she had gone, though now it was a bit different. Her hand ran along the beast again, smiling as she had noticed in more recent days that the animal's stomach was a bit larger and hanging lower. It could be that she got into the pantry again and hadn't worked it off, or she had found her way into the lair of another Nexu that was recently being moved through the system on its way to parts unknown.
Whatever the reason the Baroness was expecting a litter of kittens soon, though they wouldn't be around for too long, else their mother decide they look tasty. She felt though that with enough food it shouldn't be a problem. Then again her children had also been bugging her for one of their own. Those were thoughts for another time, though the idea of giving her friend's daughter a little nexu kitten as a pet caused her to smile.
With a low hiss the boarding ramp slowly clamored down, setting against the floor of the hanger as four of the Fenrir Guardsmen stepped out first before taking their position at the bottom of the ramp. Always watching and looking for threats to their mistress. A soft clicking was heard as the Baroness stepped forward, the heels of her boots pressing against the steel boarding ramp as she walked, her golden-yellow hues falling upon her old friend.
"My dear, the ravages of office seem to not touch you."
She said with a smile, offering her own little greeting, knowing full well what her friend had been and was still going through when it came to running a planet and having two teenage daughters to contend with as well.

Ha! She looked as young as ever. How rude of her. Feena smiled as the woman approached. Expensive creams and hair dye could only do so much. Well, no matter. She was good at her job. That was what mattered the most here. The Queen bowed her head briefly before straightening up to meet her gaze. The girls would be along in no time at all.

"There is this wonderful invention called hair dye, my friend. I've discovered it keeps the gray away." She said it all in good humor. Feena wasn't bitter about her age. Well, not that bitter any way. She was vain, but she understood that there were more important things than her face.

"My daughters should be along shortly. Last I heard they were... getting ready."

By that, of course, she meant Felicity was nowhere to be found. Not a shock at all. The girl disappeared at the oddest of times.

[member="Baroness Magrath"]

Felicity's favorite hiding spot was just behind the crumbling wall in a forgotten part of the gardens. Nobody came here. Not since the invasion. It had been forgotten about, or at least, very low on the gardeners priority list. It made it the best place to meet with her lover, or at least, to sit and be left alone. As of right now, she just wanted to be alone. Not because she was upset or anything. Far from it. She was in a wonderful mood. The sun was shining, the sky way blue, and she had a wonderful book in her hands.

She was almost always reading. Side effect of having Keter as a father. They shared a similar taste in stories too. Action, romance, heroes, villains. She hummed to herself as she turned page by page. She sat back up against the pale grey stone and overgrown weeds. Her knees her drawn up to her chest, her pale blue dress crumpled and spotted with dirt. She shoved a stray lock of yellow hair back into her braid as the wind tore through it. It didn't matter. She had a free day to herself. So when her com beeped, she checked who the message was from. Mother. She ignored it. It beeped again. Mother. Ignored. And again. Then she turned it off.

With a soft smile she stepped forward, giving her old friend a light hug before stepping back. Her hands running along her dark purple gown to smooth out the wrinkles as she looked towards her Nexu. The beast moving slowly as she smiled before running a hand along its head before kneeling down. Looking the animal in the eyes, the Baroness seemed to have an odd connection with the animal before she returned to her position of standing. The Nexu seemed to purr with its own contentment before it turned and lumbered back to the shuttle.
"She is with Kittens. A side effect of her getting out and exploring a shipment of exotic animals that was being moved through the Avidon System."
The Baroness spoke as she watched her pet return to the shuttle before looking back at her friend. Looking at the Queen, she smiled again, her hands clasping together as she awaited the arrival of her daughters. She was surprised that she would be collecting the two of them, having thought it would be only the defiant girl, yet as she thought of that, her own memories rushed back of times when she had been just as defiant towards her parents. There were plenty of times when she did as she pleased rather than listen to her mother or father.
"They are children my friend. Allow them to be such for a little longer. Soon enough you'll see them grown before your eyes and will long for the days when they were young. I've seen plenty of my own children grow."

The Queen watched the Nexu walk away, tail swishing behind it. She eyed the lump in it's low hanging stomach. Either the creature had a bun in the oven, or a very nasty tumor.

"Ah, the joys of motherhood," she mumbled, remembering with a shiver her own disastrous pregnancies. Graxin born when she was just a teenager. Felicity conceived on accident with her (then) lover, while Celeste's birth almost sent her to an early grave. No more of that for her, thank the force. Still, the Baroness made a good point. They were so darling when they were tiny babies. Now she had a son who liked to start wars in his free time, a daughter that liked to sneak off, and her youngest who she hardly had time to get to know.

Well, once Felicity was gone (out of her hair) she'd have all the time in the Galaxy to devote to training Celeste herself.

"Hm. And how many children do you have, my friend?" she eyed the woman's narrow waist with envy. It didn't seem possible that she'd ever had more than one! Some women got all the luck.

A soft smile began to creep upon her lips as she turned to her friend. She wondered how she would react when told how many children the Baroness had and how the disbelieve might play out due to her own figure. Taking a moment to allow herself a bit of time, she smiled softly as she closed her eyes, thinking about her children before opening her golden-yellow hues again.
"Ten my friend. I was sixteen when I gave birth to my oldest daughter."
At that point one could consider the Baroness a brood mother of sorts for having that many children. Though each were within two years of age with the one older and one younger than themselves. She began to think about her oldest daughter whom would succeed her should anything happen to herself. There was an ambitious woman, and it brought a small curving smirk to her lips before she pulled herself back to the moment.
"My youngest is just sixteen. Though he finds himself more interested in the vast libraries in the Avidonian System than with anything else in the Galaxy. It keeps him out of trouble for the most part, beyond those few times when he actually broke into a library just so he could finish reading some dusty old tome."
The Baroness let out a soft giggle at the thought. Many parents had to contend with their children breaking the law for narcotics, alcohol or some other dastardly illegal activities. She had a night of being called to a law enforcement building because her child had broken into a library to finish reading a book.

Ten kids. Ugh. She would have ten kids and still have a waist the size of a teenager. It made Feena so jealous she was absolutely disgusted with herself. Maybe if she looked like that, Keter might visit her more often. She looked aside, catching her own reflection in the smooth surface of a ship. Average. That was the only way to describe her figure. Strictly average. Not terribly thin, but not plump either. Just kind of... there. The Queen narrowed her eyes. The Baroness had a waist the size of her daughters, except unlike Felicity, she had curves where it mattered. Her poor daughter was still growing into herself. She had the body of a girl years younger. Well, maybe some day she'd develop. Or she wouldn't. She supposed in some places in the Galaxy it was fashionable to have a boyish figure. Well, she had a pretty enough face, at least. Freckled, pale, but sweet. She had brains and fire in her soul at least. Poor girl needed to have something to compete with her sister. Little Celeste was an absolute beauty.

"Hm... your son? He reminds me of my Felicity, actually," The Queen smiled, hoping that the Baroness would understand her implication. "Always with her nose in a book, that girl. Takes after her Father. Perhaps they might get along."

She certainly hoped so. Would get her mind off of... whoever it was she caught her girl day dreaming about.

With a soft smile, the Baroness watched her friend closely, carefully following her body language, and letting out a soft sigh. She had been a lucky one with the figure she had, even after her children. Her mind thought back to them, before a small devilish smirk crossed her lips. They were all her children, though it couldn't be said that they all shared the same father. After all, she had been young when she married a man much older than herself, and she had draw the attention of plenty more qualified suitors.
Returning to her friend, she smiled again before stepping forward, getting a little closer. She was always brazen as her slender fingers danced across her friends waist line as she smiled softly.
"You look perfect my friend. Do not think otherwise."
The Baroness was telling the truth, and had she the time, she would have even dared to offer the Queen a fun night, just the two women, along, sharing a nice bottle of blossom wine. Her mind wandered off for a moment before she pulled herself back, her hands slipping away to push out the wrinkles in her gown from her own movement.
"I am sure they will get along perfectly. Though it seems that your tone might imply I push them together a bit. Am I correct?"

Fletcher was visiting his home planet again after being away so long. He wandered into the gardens, to be alone with his thoughts. He was constantly at conflict with himself, questioning the rights and wrongs, questioning morals. He wore a shirt and loose trousers as he was familiar with Naboo's climate, having grown up there. He thought to himself for a few moments before sensing someone. He looked around quickly, not being able to see anyone. He walked further into the gardens. "Hello?" he called out, which probably wasn't the wisest thing if there was to be an enemy near by. Though he highly doubted there wasn't, he couldn't be sure. Feeling a little edgy, he walked further into what seemed like ruins of a garden. He attempted to follow the force.

A hand traced across her waist, then it was gone before anyone but her noticed. Interesting. Not the first time though, and certainly not the last. She felt her lips twitch in amusement as she led her friend through the hangar.

"I would never say 'push', but perhaps a little encouragement couldn't hurt."

This was hardly uncommon in the world of politics. Sons marrying the daughters of other political figures, and vice versa. Although arranged marriages were strictly forbidden on Naboo, there was not a single law about trying to encourage affection. If not Felicity, then she was sure she could make something work with Celeste, although as of now the girl was far too young to even consider. Felicity had finally reached just the right age.

"Just think about it. My daughter, your son. Could you imagine a better match?"

The blonde Princess was almost to her favorite part of the story. The Princess rescues the Jedi and they ride off to fight the Sith Lord. She went to turn the page but her hand froze at the corner. A voice. Did one of the Palace guards find her hiding place? She stood up, closing the book and dusting off her pretty blue dress.

"Yes? Hello?" She stepped out from behind the crumbling wall, feeling quite annoyed at being interrupted.
She froze where she stood, fear sweeping over her. A boy? She didn't recognize him. Last time someone she did not know found their way into the gardens... She took a step back, hand fumbling with the latch on her bag. She had Uncle B's knife inside. She could fight him off if he tried anything.

"What do you want? Who are you?" she demanded, "What are you doing here?"

With a soft smile, the Baroness followed her friend through the hanger. She had always had an eye on her and was hoping that perhaps by bringing their own children together, they could bring their families just a bit closer. While she walked with the Queen, her own Fenrir Guardsmen where following as well, though keeping a respectable distance to allow the two women their privacy as they spoke, and still more than capable to come to their immediate aid.
"I can do encouragement. After all, my son does know many of the libraries on Avidon itself. A little tour could be in the best interest."
She mused with a smile as she walked along side the Queen. The Baroness was already liking the little plan, and it couldn't hurt to get her son, Elias out of the company of just books. She had for some time worried about the young man, though she realized it was best to watch carefully from a far and allow him to discover the galaxy at his own pace. If that meant letting him sleep in a library now and again, it couldn't hurt.

He stared at the girl for a moment, she was the last person he expected to be lurking around a place like this. He was somewhat relieved, although he didn't recognise her. Once he saw her reaching for her bag, he stepped back. He had a lightsaber on him but he wouldn't ever dream of using it, only in self defence.

He put his hands out in attempt to calm her down, seeing how uneasy she was. "Calm down, I don't want anything. This is my home planet. My name is Fletcher and I just came here out of curiosity." he said in attempt to reassure her that he wasn't prepared to fight.

A library tour. Not a bad idea. She knew her daughter. She was shy, but when she found something (or someone) she liked, she went for it. The problem was getting her attention away from this boy she'd been focusing on. The girl was also quick to make up her mind. When she found what she wanted, almost nothing could change her mind on it.

"If I can help you in this, do not hesitate to ask. Who knows. In a year, maybe two, we could be planning a wedding."

She giggled as her guards moved from their post as they walked, joining the entourage. They'd been watching from a safe distance at the Queens command. After several assassination attempts, a Queen couldn't be too careful.

[member="Baroness Magrath"]

The girl shook as she continued backing away. The stupid latch on her bag- she couldn't get it open.

"Keep away from me," she warned, "If you know what's good for you. I have guards watching my every move! I'm not going to be taken again!"

It was a lie, of course. She had no guards watching over her here. Of course, she would be stupid to let him know that. The latch on her bag finally popped open, just at the heel of her shoe caught on a broken statue, sending her tumbling. She fell on her hands and knees, scattering the contents of her bag everywhere. The knife was just out of reach now.

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

He sighed and walked over to the girl, standing in front of her and looking down at her. Never had he seen someone so startled by his presence, he couldn't help but smile. He kicked the knife even further out of her reach calmly. He offered his hand to the girl.

"I'm not here to take you away or hurt you." he said, though whether she trusted him or not was up to her own accord. She already seemed on edge.
