So, I am liking the enthusiasm shown by all of you in these early stages. But, I want to describe to you the general plot and story of the Reaper Company and why I have created this faction. I thought I would fill you guys in on the details for what the Reaper Company should look, act and be like and where its going.
If it hasn't been obvious yet Reaper Company is inspired by the PMC Outer Heaven from the Metal Gear Franchise. However, there are some slight deviations in intent and design.
Reaper Company has two faces. 1. Is our Military Contractor Outfit, we do jobs that anyone will give us. 2. Is our Military Conspiracy Mode, where Reaper Company is manipulated by Iron Maiden to wage her war on nation states of the galaxy. When you join the Reaper Company you become effectively a double-agent. You may work with and for other factions but ultimately your loyalty is with this small band of soldiers who have declared that the only nation they support is their own.
Iron Maiden herself hates nations, because they enslave soldiers in eternal wars that are not of their own promotion. And being the broken and slightly mad soldier she is she created Reaper Company as a vehicle to take down the warring nation states through a series of precision special ops attacks. This will come later in the story of Reaper Company. For now we are in Military Contractor Mode.
When in the Reaper Company remember this isn't some Mando Horde, Sleezy Bounty Hunter Guild or a pack of wild Assassins. This is a military outfit. We don't commit terrorism, we dont pick sides in wars, we dont act like pirates. We are a nation of soldiers. So please remember to act like such.
Soon we will have our first outside contracts and soon I will be setting our first major in-house faction development thread where we rebuild a derelict asteroid mining base to be our FOB (Forward-Operating-Base) codenamed: Home Base.
