The Power of the Light (Joshua Dragonsflame)

Dorpo, the lately redeemed Jedi was... excited, he finally had a mentor! Something the Sith hadn't considered for him. Dorpo knew he needed to train hard if he wanted to be accepted as a Jedi, Dorpo didn't want to be forced to return to the Sith, for @[member="Vulpesen"] had told him that the dark side is what corrupted my father. Dorpo hoped he was good enough for his mentor, Dorpo had even learn the Jedi code in an attempt to impress his Master:

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.

And that mentor had volunteered for it. Josh had redeemed two different Sith in the past, and taken one as his Apprentice. He was perfectly fit for the job of mentoring a Former Sith Apprentice as a Padawan. As Josh walked into the room, he looked his new Padawan over with a smirk. He had only heard of one other of his species... Teferi. A former Grandmaster. Something told him this one likely had a high force sensitivity, as many of his species did... But only time would tell.

"Good evening, sir" he introduced as he walked over. "My name is Josh DragonsFlame. I guess I'll be your Master from here on" he said, kneeling down to the Padawan's level and extending a hand to shake.

Dorpo's new master had just entered the room, introducing himself as Joshua Dragonsflame and extended a hand for Dorpo to shake. Dorpo took the extended hand and shook it. "Hello master, I'm Dorpo" Dorpo said as he released his master's hand.

He smiled a bit as he stood up straight. "Are you finding the temple alright?" he asked. It was a courtesy, after all, and a former Sith was likely finding this new environment incredibly strange.

The least the Jedi could do was try and make it as comforting as possible.

Dorpo looked up at his master as he was asked how he was liking the Temple, "It is very different to the Temples of Korriban" Dorpo replied "I like it better here". Dorpo was enjoying his talk with his master, not many people took notice of him... not that he wanted them to. "What is first on the training agenda?" Dorpo asked his master

@[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

He chuckled a bit. "I'm glad" he said. "Well, we certainly are different from the Korriban Temples... Yknow, less skulls. Less Kath Hounds... Less Dead Sith Lords with their eyes boring into your skull...."

He smirked. "Anyways, first up... I want you to sit down. Cross legged. Close your eyes" he said.

To help with motivation, he did so himself. DragonsFlame sat down, crossed legged, closed his eyes... And relaxed.

"Close your eyes.... Relax.... Feel the Force...."

Dorpo did as his master told him, he sat down, cross legged. Dorpo closed his eyes and suddenly felt a rush of power... The Force

It felt like hours Dorpo had sat there, enjoying his connection to the force. He completely forgot about his Master being in the same room. Everything was blank... it was just Dorpo and the force.

@[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"Feel the Force...." he whispered. "Let yourself be immersed in everything around you.... Feel your surroundings with the Force.... Relax... Touch the walls, the pillars.... With your mind..."

"Extend your senses now... Out to the garden... Listen to the flowing of the water in the fountain... Of the birds chirping as they splash in it's waters, feel the flowers that slowly grow, that Master @[member="Aleidis Ijet"] once poured her heart and soul into taking care of..."

Dorpo extended the force, he felt the pillars, then the walls. He reached out further with his mind. To the gardens that Master @Aleidis I jet once poured her heart and soul into caring for it. He felt the care free birds, all through the power of the force, it was... it was awesome, the power of the force was magnificent.

Josh simply relaxed, allowing his pupil to see for himself the amazing pull and tug of the Force once you delve into it... This, in his opinion, was the true way to show a former Sith how to open his eyes...

This is what the Sith fought against, this power, it was ridiculous, the Sith, they denied him this power, the Sith were weak... The Jedi were better, the Jedi were the supreme side.

@[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

A lesson Josh would soon teach him... The Jedi did not seek power. They sought knowledge. They sought justice. They sought peace. Power came with it... But only if done the right way. Power and ability would come naturally, but if you didn't follow the light properly.... You could very well sink back into darkness and back into a fruitless hunt for power that would only end in pain... Such is, was and always will be the way of the Sith...

Then Dorpo suddenly remembered the Jedi Code

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force.

He shouldn't USE the force to guide his mind, he should instead embrace it, let it guide his mind.

Josh smiled as his watched his padawan's mind wander, make doscoveries and ultimately change him for the better.

"You have much potential" he finally spoke. "You've embraced the Force. I can feel it. It seems... Happy, almost"

Of course, it was hard to tell if the "Force" was "happy" but the positive energy he could feel radiating from @[member="Dorpo"] told stories.

Suddenly his connection with the force was broken, his Master was speaking to him."How is it possible for the force to be happy, Master?" Dorpo asked, he knew the force was a living thing, but it wasn't known to be happy.

Dorpo awaited for @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] reply, he could still loosely feel his connection to the force.

(Don't double post if I don't answer within a few hours, please mate. If I don't answer, I'm either busy, or in the case of this time, sleeping)

He smirked a bit. "It's hard to really deduce if the Force is "Happy" or not... But I can feel the positive energy flowing from you like a fountain" he explained. "You have a long way to go, but you're certainly making progress" the Master said.

(Sorry, I just get really bored)
"The Sith never complimented me like that before" Dorpo replied "in fact not many of them even acknowledged my existence" Dorpo felt glad that at least he was making some progress, he may be a long way from finished in his training but it was good to be in non-hostile company, with the Sith he risked every second, just because his corrupted father was cruel to him, now Dorpo understood what what he turned to was what his Jedi Father had been corrupted by.

@[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

He chuckled. "Sounds like the Sith alright" he said. "They're selfish, I've had a moment to talk to one or two... They really. Really. Really don't care about anybody else but themselves" he said with a sigh. "It's kind of a shame, really, considering the Sith were once Jedi, who broke off and turned into something... Horrible" he said. "I've tried too many times to talk to Sith, try and see their views, make them see my views, and try to co-exist. It's impossible, the last thing they want is peace... They want control. They want power. And they'll kill anyone they want and have to in order to get it" he said.

"Apologies if that sounds like slander" he admitted. "It's what I've seen in my experiences though. They're a power hungry, control freak, seductive cult... Their willies even took my little brother from me. Now he's one of them, mercilessly killing people to try and become all powerful"
