The Prodigal Daughter

There were many things that happened day to day somethings she could handle other things she could not. Her children were off doing their own thing now coming home when needed, or in need of rest.

Her sister gone not heard from in years, her clan scattered to the four corners of the galaxy. Her father dead, her mother dead, her husband fighting his own battles, and recovering.

She needed to get them settled some place that would provide work, and a home. Isolation and building their own settement had not worked well for them. So now she'd do what she needed to survive.

They could run salvaging operations, and bounty hunter so where would give them access to do this. She had received word that the clans were cutting back, withdrawing their presence. That gave them more options. She stared at the star map trying to decide, she could go home. The Shadow Guard had not been on Emberlene for too long.

That would be her first stop, Emberlene.

Emberlene home of the female mercenaries known as Shadow Guard. She had not been part of the Shadow Guard for sometime, her children were approaching adulthood, her sisters missing or dead.

Her Clan status, she did not know. Stepping out onto the world that had once known only dust and parchment to see it once again sprouting green sent her fears away. She needed to know who was here and she needed to train. There were jobs to be had and she needed one to support the family.

K did not seem to want to train as an emberlene though she possessed some of the skills her mother had passed on to her. Her son was also mandalorian more than emberlene but she could not be prouder of them and the adults they were growing into.

Satine walked along a familiar path that led to the home of her Aunt where she had grown up, where she had led her Clan, and where she had given it all up. Would she be welcome?

She knocked and waited.

The door opened slowly revealing a young woman that Satine did not recognize. She half smiled now unsure even if she had the right now, "I'm Satine I was looking for my cousins and sister, Mya."

Slowly a smile appeared on the young girls face taking years away, "You're Satine really. OH come in yes this is still your Aunt's home." She stepped back and finally Satine looked closer. She was young about twenty maybe with deep chocolate colored eyes, fluffy blonde hair and a bright smile when she used it.

"Who are you?" She had to ask for the girl was so excited about her being there she must have forgotten to tell her name.

"OH Yes sorry I'm Evangeline, they call me Eva." Eva then grabbed Satine's hand and pulled her towards the great room. The room where they held council to discuss clan business, to discuss contracts, and anything related to the clan. Stepping into the room Satine could see it had not changed, not a bit well maybe a little more age but nothing that screamed change.

"It's just how I remember it."

Eva nodded, "Yes we don't change a lot of things not when they work." Brown eyes settled on Satine, "You're alone, did you not bring your husband [member="Nolan Detta"] , or your son [member="Corvus Detta"] but surely you would have brought your daughter Kaylanna home for training" Satine did not know how to answer Eva it was difficult at times to know what to say when she didn't know.

"Kaylanna will be returning for training." She smiled and looked at the room again, "I really missed home"

She sighed heavily watching out the view port, stay put don't move stay on the ship I mean it.

yeah yeah here I am on the ship.

She couldn't see much really from here but this place was where her mother was from it looked old and run down. How could a place that looked so desperate produce skilled warriors? Luck?

She frowned then was she going to make her stay here?

"Perhaps you should stay for a while, there are things to be done. And truly you are needed. Can your husband spare you for a time?" Nolan was right now off renewing ties with the Mandalorians looking to return there.

She knew he would not deny her connection to her family just as he had not denied her his.

But now that the galaxy had changed again Satine was ready to begin taking contracts again. Take on her mercenary training and use it for something other than throwing knives at something to eat.

Mistryl Shadow Guards were not meant to be so docile.

"You know I think I might do that...."
