The Pull of the Dark Side

Anchorhead
Tatooine, Outer Rim

Kaalia was always a traveller. She loved exploring planet after planet, and whenever she got the chance the woman would just pick out a random destination on the Star Map and fly off. It was a shame her close friend, Ara Ren, wasn't much of a flyer. Things like travel were always more enjoyable when you shared the experiences with someone else, but it couldn't be helped. Besides, she was probably too 'busy' with Connor Harrison on days where the redhead wasn't found in the Bastion of Ren. Despite all this, the three had become a powerful unit. They learned from each other, fed off each other, and strengthened each other. Those bonds were hard to create, but they didn't break easily either. Kaalia trusted them, and they trusted her.

Kaalia wore her armor, a black coat that covered the lower part of her face. Black pants that allowed for free movement and black boots completed her outfit. Her pair of lightsabers, Mirari and Cruentis Cor, were hidden on the inside of the lower part of the coat, giving her easy access to them without revealing them beforehand. She expected to get at least in some sort of fight here, considering the hostile nature of the planet, and was prepared for such a situation.

The redhead's mind snapped back to reality. She walked through the streets of anchorhead, taking in the sights and sounds of the cmall city despite the less-than-fantastic living conditions. She reached out in the Force, looking for auras that stood out. Kaalia was always one to do so. Where at first it was to make sure there was no danger, she now often did so out of sheer curiosity. The Force was a strange entity, but its presence was always something comforting to her. It empowered her and filled her with confidence. It was a well of power ready to be called upon at any moment, a well the redhead often studied to find new ways to make use of.

At first Kaalia was disappointed. She felt nothing significant in any of the people around her, signifying that nobody had the connection that she had. Then, a new presence entered her vicinity. It was a much more powerful one, easily towering above the others, but it was unrefined. Raw. A smirk was drawn across the redheads features as she let the Force guide her towards the soul she sensed. Steadily walking, turning corners as if she had done so a thousand times, she made her way towards what turned out to be a male who seemed a bit younger than him, and definitely shorter. The woman didn't want to draw the attention of anyone else, and so sent out a message through the Force as the two passed by each other. "Follow me."

When one was an isolationist, and painfully shy one sought out worlds where they wouldn't be bothered by powerful Force Users, because he wasn't trying to draw attention to himself. Taji didn't like attention, and in fact went out of his way to avoid doing anything to draw attention to himself. Sure he had traded that old Tie for a new ship but merely because he didn't want to get shot at. His mind imagined that that was going to be a painful way to die, if such actually managed to happen to him. As such, he had taken the best precaution he could, to avoid such. Namely simply not be piloting a vehicle that looked anything like that of the Empire. As a result of this, he was still making modifications to the bomber, because he didn't want it to be a problem for him later. This was why when someone approached him, and sent him a message in the force? Taji was more than a little shocked.

Shocked wasn't the right word, freaking out was the right word. But still it wouldn't do to offend someone who possessed more skills with the Force than him. Begrudgingly, he admitted to himself that the best course of action was to follow her, at least for now. It couldn't hurt to see what she was up to. And if she turned out to be a SIth or something, he did have the Spirit Blade and the Will Blade with him, blades that could clash with a Lightsaber. Sure he was still training, but he could probably bluff... most likely.

Kaalia was glady surprised to see that the stranger had picked up on her message. It was a good sign of his capabilities, something she would remember. It was a good time to be out for a private conversation, as most of the streets were fairly empty. Perhaps they were always like this? The two walked through the streets of Anchorhead, looking for a place nobody would hear them talk. In the meantime, the woman analyzed the Force presence of the man further. There was potential, but also something she didn't like seeing: The seed of the Light. Kaalia used to be a Jedi herself, growing up under a Jedi master from age three. She didn't know any better, until her emotions begged to set herself free. She hated the Light, despised it. To her, it merely enslaved its practicioners, forcing them to do its bidding. Perhaps this soul could be saved from that before it was too late.

When the redhead didn't sense any other people around, she came to a standstill. She turned around and looked at the man she had told to follow. "My name is Kaalia. I think you know why I asked you to follow me. You are not unlike me, powerful in the Force. You have the potential most can only dream of. I want to know what you aim to achieve with it."
