N A B O O
The Jewel of the Outer Rim. An unspoiled world with large plains, swamps, and seas. The sudden loss of millions of souls along with the disappearances of various princesses of the city states were sending the planet into a panic.

Martial law was declared, and in this the search for the Queen and the Princess of Theed would go on full Force. However, this wasn't the only concern...

Seeing the chaos that ensued, Bando Gora Reavers would take it upon themselves to reclaim what they had lost. From the depths of the Outer Rim and the Unknown regions, they would come in droves.

Yet those left behind would stand and fight.
OOC:
Objectives:
1. Fleet: Engage Bando Gora Reaver Fleets and neutralize
2. Find the Queen or the Princess of Theed; restore order to Naboo to defend it from the Reavers.
3. Contact the Gungans to aid in the defense of Naboo.

Hastings had never fought the Bando Gora, although he'd heard Sarge talk of them. A charicture, surely, because no people would be so idiotic. But apparently they were, and it had been clear the Lord Protector held an unreasonably low opinion of everything they were and could be. He didn't think they even warranted the ammunition spent to rid them of their existence. To him they'd been a waste of time.

An annoyance surviving on terror, little else.

Perhaps that was true, perhaps it was not.

But when Hastings and the Leviathan dropped from hyperspace with a Protectorate fleet they found a world besieged. Sounds of alarm and shock could be heard from the crew and Hastings wasted little time in dispatching orders; fighters out, bombers and dropships in the second wave. Interceptors providing cover. "FleetCom, this is Vice Admiral Hastings, what is your status."

Silenced reigned.

"FleetCom, this is the Vice Admiral. Respond."

Furtive glances exchanged between the bridge personnel.

"FleetCom..."

Static. Gunfire. Shouting. Silence.

"Board it."

He left the bridge.

Kronk

NPCs by Daalen
{Drapeam Nyx's alt has arrived to assist in this dominion. All posts are to be considered NPC driven.}

Well, this was an interesting occasion! One moment Kronk was drinking with his buddies, gossiping about ladies in pretty dresses, the next he was sitting alone. There hadn't been a flash of light or the sound of blaster fire. Just a simple blink. His friends, fellow Palace Guards, were gone. They had vanished in a single instant. How had that happened? What was the meaning of this?!? Of course he was going to find out! Perhaps it was some elaborate prank?... Yes, that had to be it. A light growl left the slightly tipsy man's lips as he stood up, slinging his rifle over his shoulder. Little did he know that everyone had disappeared... The halls were eeriely empty as he walked through them.

"Oh shab..."
--------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile a maid, Tiana, was scrubbing the floor. Those blasted maintenance droids had missed a spot again! To make matters worse some noble lady was going on and on about some visiting man who she was oh-so infatuated with. Rather troublesome, really. And she wanted advice! From a maid! How was Tiana supposed to deal with her chores without insulting this lady? Pissing off someone with that kind of power was a horrid idea. So she had pretended to listen, nodding her or there, occasionally adding in a 'oh dear' for affect. It took her twenty minutes to realize that the talking had stopped. Oh no, did she realize I wasn't paying attention?!? Tiana thought. With a worrying heart she went to look for the lass.

If only she knew that she wouldn't be finding anyone at all.
--------------------------------------------------

Esker was a mercenary. He had been hired by some farmers to clear out some stupid little beasties. But the clients had up and left without telling him! Their house was empty, not a single soul to be seen. Had they skipped out on the payment?... No, that didn't seem likely. All of their stuff was still there. Including the speeder... What had happened here? There weren't even any drag marks or signs of a struggle. Almost like they had just vanished... strange. With a frown the older man started to search the house. Maybe there were some clues to be found here...

Naboo... Felicity had been tracking it's location on her freetime working on the ship. She'd been way off course. Good thing she and Owain had been picked up, or else they would both probably be goners. Who knew how soon they would have run out of fuel, then energy, the life support, then air. She'd probably be a floating freezing ice-princess in the middle of space by now if not for them. Well, that was, of course, the worst-case scenario. Thankfully, she didn't really need to think about it. She'd been smart enough to reach out to the Protectorate. She'd met some very wonderful people, learned so much during her time with them, but finally her quest was at an end.

She was nervous as she'd approached the world now. Home. It was forever home to her, but it felt wrong somehow. And she was terrified. Nobody had heard from the Queen, her Mother. Was she missing too? She didn't want to think about it. It was bad enough that her Father was missing. But now she couldn't just push it to the back of her mind. Now she had to face her deepest fear.

"...Master Elaris?" Felicity murmured, "Suppose I get to the palace and find that my mother is missing. What should I do then?"

[member="Coryth Elaris"].

And so, the wounded Coryth was heading for Naboo. She had little idea of what was going on upon the surface but she had one very good reason to find out. [member="Felicity Mason"]. That was the only reason she needed. After the visions the girl had experienced of the events on Corellia, in truth she wanted to protect the girl from further harm and trauma. Only so much could be prevented but none the less, Coryth felt an obligation to try.

She still carried a limp from her injuries on Sullust, and was forced still to walk with a cane. "I know you wanted to know what happened to Naboo, and I could not give you an answer when you asked." The redhead sighed heavily, though winced as her still broken ribs protested such an action. "I don't know what it's going to be like down there, and reports currently are not pretty."

Coryth then nodded, "I will be by your side, Felicity. That I promise you. If your mother in fact is missing, then this may be time that you need to step into her role, and defend your planet. I can help you, as best I can. Further more ... Knowledge recently came to me of a portal, a way to cross into the netherworld... So there may be a way to find your mother. Either way, I will help you for as long as my legs will carry me."

As the shuttle hurled to the planets surface, Felicity continued to gaze out at the approaching ground. From here she could see the palace, pristine, beautiful, restored to it;s former glory under her Mothers rule. And Felicity had seen it all. The invasion of Naboo had left Theed scarred, but those blemishes had been covered well over the years. They'd rebuilt. But now her home was being torn apart again. By fear.

"If my Mother is gone, I have no right to step into her place. Leaders on Naboo are elected," she explained, although she was sure Master Elaris already knew this, "The title 'Princess' really is just more of a nickname, you know."

She smiled weakly as the shuttle was guided carefully to the palace hangar. Moment of truth now.

"I don't know what I can do here, but Naboo is my home. If I have to, I will do anything it takes. Either stay and help as best i can, or walk through the portal myself and find them."

She really could use [member="Owain"] here, if only for his emotional support, but she'd left to come here with only Master Elaris. He did promise to be down later though. She could wait for him. No matter what it took, Owain would never break a promise.

Contact the Gungans to aid in the defense of Naboo.

In the small aqua unit, Corellian Jedi Knight Rhen Qel-Droma would guide his submersible through the lake that would take him into the depths.

He was here to be an Ambassador for Naboo, attempting to establish contact with the Gungans to determine if they had also been affected by the mass disappearance of sapients.

He had been trailing and getting more information on every planet. So far, the puzzles were being brought together. Not a complete picture, but they were slowly becoming into a picture.

Coryth nodded slowly, "Yes I understand however, there is a very real chance that no one is left in the elected party and chaos my reign below. People may look to you, regardless because you would know what your mother would want."

With a soft sigh, Coryth laid a hand upon Felicity's shoulder. "You doubt yourself too much. I believe you, Felicity." The reality of the surface and what was going on was bound to be revealed shortly as the craft landed upon the surface. "Your home is always worth fighting for. So, if I may suggest we work to secure Naboo first, and then ... then we can see what needs to be done from there. Find your mother and keep moving." It might not be as simple as that, but the small redheaded Jedi certainly hoped it could be. Hope for something better, and hope that Felicity's mother could be found on the planet, and wasn't one of those who was drug into the netherworld.

Owain

Lord High Grand Commander Esq.
Theed

Useless pretty city of peace loving fools.

Yes, Owain Barnabus did not have a high opinion of Naboo. He had an even lower opinion of the IDIOTS who CONTINUALLY fought over it for NO REASON. His lip curled into a snarl as he punched the wall. He had taken a shuttle down into Naboo pretty much immediately after Felicity had left with the other Space Wizard. He remembered hearing conversations between his uncle and Keter Mason. Naboo always suffered some sort of invasion. WHY?! Curious, he had researched the planet, and been left baffled.

Naboo did not control any hyperlanes of note. It wasn't a good staging point. In fact one would have to go out of their way to reach Naboo in the first place.

Naboo had nothing in terms of resources one couldn't find anywhere else on the galaxy on hundreds of uninhabited worlds. So it certainly wasn't why the planet continued to suffer war.

So...what? It was all symbolic? Why the hell did that matter? Symbols are just symbols - they do not win wars or battles! Strategic and tactical objectives did. So what the hell was the galaxy playing at?! Growing ever more annoyed, Owain cut off those thoughts whilst running a hand through his raven hair. He was heavily armed and armoured, and stalking through the back streets of Theed like a common criminal. Because for all their haughtiness and arrogance, the Naboo were certain to have their own criminal underground. No planet didn't. And that always made a nice contact for anyone trying to take over the planet.

Felicity would never agree to what he was about to do.

That was fine. She was a princess. She was the olive branch of peace.

He had been a member of the Sith military. He was the iron fist of necessity.

There would be no peace in the dark shadows of Theed today. Cut off the probing tendrils of the enemy...whoever they were. For Songbird.

Seraph Kaida Taldir, temporary commanderof the Angelii, was no Naboo. Nor en route to it. She had temporarily taken over Aeda Shaytari's duties as de facto Eldorai Grand Master, commanding the much depleted corps of force warriors that formed the Star Queen's Angelii.

Ergo at this hour she was on Kaeshana in the Citadel. There was paperwork to handle. Not to mention letters to write to the families of those Angelii and Eldorai soldiers who had perished during the recent battle on Sullust. Kaida had never been a woman of words. Indeed, she made a cult out of being laconic and stoic most of the time. So it was especially difficult for her to find 'the right words', as trite and cliched as that might sound. But then again, 'Your daughter died in the line of duty in service of Kaeshana and the Goddess. Ashira will take her to the heavens for her valour,' sounded utterly ridiculous, cold and impersonal to her. Even more when one considered that were many Eldorai who questioned the point of sending their girls off to fight on foreign battlefields in the first place, when there were so many problems closer to home.

Nonetheless, no matter how downcast and upset it might make her, it had to be done. Then there were training drills to supervise, defences to inspect, a chat with some of the armoursmiths about final modifications to be made to the Seraphim Combat Armour. Just before the great cataclysm she and the Grand Seraph had made a trip to Bespin to acquire stocks of cortosis from the mining outpost Firemane and ARGH maintained there. Bespin had now fallen to the Lords of the Fringe, a collection of monsters, war criminals and Sith as far as Kaida was concerned.

The armour had first been tested on Sullust and probably done its part to save her life there, though given how badly it had been battered it was being repaired at present. So much work to do. Needless to say Kaida had heard about the situatin on Naboo and could only shake her head. Seriously, how many times had the Bando Gora Reavers been wiped out now? Kaida was a veteran of both exterminatuses on Gehenna, having fought alongside [member="Coryth Elaris"] in the second when Firemane and the Eldorai eradicated a remnant. Reavers were vicious, savage and scary on paper, but died just as easily as anyone when bombarded with bolters, especially since they traded proper tactical thinking for blind savagery. The Chaos sorcerer who tried to mind rape her had been a lot more frightening. Never mind the fething Klaxxi. In any case, while she would not go herself a small flotilla of Eldorai warships along with a contingent of soldiers would be dispatched to aid.

For now, there were problems closer to home to deal with. After all, Kaeshana lay right on the frontier, with the Fringe having gone on a conquest spree in former Protectorate territory. It was probably good that she was an Eldorai soldier above all. Casting thoughts aside, she went back to her paperwork. There would be an audience with the Queen and her Council later.

As Hastings left the bridge, he was halted by the appearance of the Lord Protector. There was a pause, and without a word the mantle of command was passed from one to the other. Nodding to each other, Hastings made for the hangar. He would be with his men again; the Lord Inquisitor could handle everything else. Stepping out and onto the bridge, Sarge immediately set about grabbing himself status updates.

Who was in their airspace? What were their numbers? Where was manpower needed the most desperately?

In order, all his answers came in and then some. It was a good deal to process, but he could make do. Hastings had the right idea going for FleetCom. They'd had to do the same on Sullust, but that wasn't surprising. It was a gigantic target. Reavers would hit it until they got aboard, no matter the losses. Couldn't let perfectly good corpses go to waste, not in their opinion.

"I'm headed to Theed."

Turning, he followed in the wake of Hastings, needing to know if Ysan was alright. If his home was still in one piece.

But more importantly, he had to check on Varykino.

The shuttle door opened and Felicity stepped outside into the palace hangar. As she did, she saw a young woman approach the ship, one that Felicity was quite familiar with. Marea, her Mothers favorite handmaiden. The girl locked eyes with the handmaiden and the young woman shook her head. That was all Felicity needed to see.

"She's.... gone?" A nod. Felicity hung her head. She'd had a feeling. An awful feeling. She'd been right. "Master Elaris..."

First dad and now mom. What was she supposed to do now? She'd traveled all this way, hoping against all hope that she would at least still have mother to rely on.

At least I still have Owain. And Master Elaris too.

It was something at least. Now if [member="Owain"] would just hurry up and show up. No time to be sad. She could tell from that awful expression on Marea's face that there was more to this.

"...It's not just her, is it?"

"No," the young handmaiden answered with another shake of her curly dark head, "Princess Andromeda of Theed as well. Actually, a good half of the government is missing..."

Owain

Lord High Grand Commander Esq.
Theed

It was somewhat depressing how easy murder became after a while.

Owain felt nothing as he pulled the blade clear of the fifth man he had slain in the space of two minutes. A small hideout for a local drug ring. They had blabbered something about reavers when he had come calling. Posing as a messenger or mercenary was surprisingly simple. Still, Theed had a lot of scum hiding in the dark corners. For such a pretty city, it generated a lot of refuse.

The sewers of Theed were staggering. Well, water canals really. Because the Naboo were all about being pretty, most thing were swiftly recycled within households themselves. How quaint. Not at all like Korriban. Decadent and pointless. HOnestly, having a plant for that kind of things would have been more efficient - but no, the Naboo couldn't even have trashcans in their streets since they would ruin the beauty.

Urgh.

Wiping his sword on the man's clothing, Owain glanced about. It was a small hideout, for spice smugglers. He had come in posing as a buyer this time, and been offered a way off world before the reavers - whoever they were - arrived. So he had gotten some information before butchering everyone. A pity Naboo was so sickeningly pleasant. It meant that such groups of wasted potential were few and far between. He probably wouldn't run into another one any time soon. Still, that was one potential leak plugged.

Now the trick was to make sure that the leaks he would never be able to find heard about this. The boy sighed as his mind disconnected itself from his body, just as he had been trained. Sith commando training was about more than infiltration and combat. It was about defeating your enemy in any way possible. Including by playing upon their fears.

So beneath the streets of Theed, Owain Barnabus set to making a grisly example. People would know that the reavers could not be dealt with. Because fear was stronger than hope.

Coryth had followed right behind Felicity, granted limping with her cane but none the less she was right there beside her. All she could do was really watch the exchange between the two women.

"All is not lost," Coryth tried her best as she laid a comforting hand upon Felicity's shoulder. It never is, not unless you make it so. Thoughts she kept to herself. "We are going to figure this out, one way or another." Determined to see this through and somehow find Felicity's mother and bring her back.

"If I may," She extended her hand to the handmaiden, to shake hers. "I'm Master Coryth Elaris. What is the situation here on Naboo like, aside from the disappearances of the government officials? I've only received scattered reports from various planets throughout Protectorate space, and I have nothing on Naboo as of now." Truthfully she hoped it wasn't as bad as her gut told her it would be.

[member="Felicity Mason"]

Marea the handmaiden gave a respectful bow to the Jedi then bit her lip and looked down. Felicity knew what that meant. She'd spent enough time with her mothers handmaidens to understand them, and Marea was especially close to the Queen. She was the girl The Queen went to to act as her double.

"We are... holding it together as best we may with what we have. No public announcement about the Queens disappearance was made as of yet, but I suspect the public at large is aware. The Princess of Theed is also amongst the missing."

Felicity shivered in the chilly air of the hangar. She wanted to go inside the palace, maybe even change clothes. She'd been wearing the same dirty dress for days. Well, that could come later. Master Elaris was right. All was not lost yet. They had work to do.

"So Princess Andromeda is missing as well... Oh! I'm sorry! Master Elaris, this is my Mothers handmaiden, Marea. Shall we go inside?"

Roth Tillian

Guest
Aurek squadron was back! This time on Naboo after flying fleet escort on Sullust and Aurek Seven needing to eject and be retrieved. What an exciting time! Not really. Roth was exhausted and had cramps in his legs and he needed a drink. More than a drink. A long, drinking session with nothing to do for several days afterwards. Not something he had the luxury of doing in this instance, though. Not as a squadron leader in the put-back-together Protectorate fleet. As a freelancer, yes. But not now. Lives depended on him being sober.

"Suit up again, Aureks," He said tiredly through the comm in the pilot barracks, "One more mission. Naboo needs help. Then I'll see what we can do about leave."

"Roger that, Tillian. You up to operational standards for lead?"

"Yeah. I've flown worse." He leaned against his fighter. He just couldn't remember when. Some brutal skirmish with the One Sith probably with the Blazing Angels.

In Umbris Potestas Est
Objective: Engage Bando Gora Reaver Fleets and neutralize
NPCs: 4 Coryphin-class Super-Heavy Bombers, 12 Scrapmetal-class Drones(swarm variant, baradium explosives)

Putting starships though the trials and tribulations they were intended to experience was always an important part of testing, and Emeritus Industries' program for their Omega Protectorate-only starships was no different. Jentara had, on the behalf of the mysterious corporate overlords, gathered together some of the company's few test pilots in order to bring these ships into the fight. What was fortunate was the fact that the Scrapmetal drones were controlled by droid brains, requiring only a crew for the Coryphins and not much else.

The lumbering behemoths slowly turned towards a Venator-class Star Destroyer, which seemed to be serving as one of the chief command ships of the Bando Gora fleet. Already fighters were emerging from the side hangar bay, a coalition of many different types of sorely outdated starships maneuvering to engage the attacking fleet. There had to have been at least two squadrons so far.

The Venator was a perfect ship to test one of Circe's main theories on. The significant power of one Scrapmetal drone, comparable to that of a baradium missile with the payload currently packed into it, delivered in the right place could cause critical damage to the Bando Gora ship. In this twisted game of cat and mouse, the decoy was the bombers - the Scrapmetals would hopefully do the real damage.

Dropship shaking as it burned its way through atmo, Sarge couldn't help but remember all the countless times before that he'd sat in this exact position. High speed on a bumpy road, they called it. It was apt, in that unimaginative military way. But it reminded him that the Protectorate had changed and so had he; the Pyre was near non-existent, and the Protectorate's harshly Anti-Sith stance meant the vast majority of people felt it better to stay away.

That was good for him, and good for the citizens, but not so good for their military per se. He was coming to the realization that a lot of people were Sith who didn't consider themselves Sith. What did you call those people? Dark Siders? Sure they might not agree with the quasi-religious principles of the Sith but the Dark Side still encouraged you to do Sith-like things.

He didn't know anymore, really.

People were stupid, he decided. He'd decided that long ago, but for now he contented himself with allowing that to soothe his rambling mind.

Yes, people were stupid.

Just like this pilot, who was angled a bit too steeply. His helmeted head snapped back and impacted the side of the dropship, a rough bout of turbulence causing the ship to shudder and shake violently.

Anger flashed in his eyes, and annoyance. Stupid Sith. Stupid pilot.

No wonder Ayden was the way he was.

Coryth nodded slowly, "I understand completely. Announcing her disappearance publicly could lead to upheaval." A sigh came as she heard of the Princess missing too. Day just keeps getting better and better.

"Marea." She said with a soft smile acknowledging the woman's name quickly.

"Please, let's head inside and see what can be done from here. Has the palace been secured? For there was have been reports of Reavers in this area of space." She asked as she followed their lead. There was a time for action, and a time to figure things out. Right now, Coryth couldn't fight to save her life, not with her body still on the mend from the last engagement. A slow steady limp was all she could manage with her cane.

Finally. Familiarity in this chaotic situation. Felicity sighed happily as they walked through the familiar Palace halls. No big brother [member="Graxin Rade"] to meet her though. She frowned again. Where was he? Gone too now? She supposed this was her test now. See if she could ever measure up to the expectations her family had for her, and also the expectations that she had for herself. So, what? Go out there? Try to calm her people? Maybe...
She'd been in the public eye before during the ASA invasion. She wasn't used to giving speeches, but, maybe she could do more than that?

"The Palace has been on lockdown since this morning," Marea explained as they entered the parlor, "We've been dealing with the Reaver threat as best we can, but we've been unable to contact the Protectorate for aid. I was so relieved when I heard you were coming."
