The Race for Resurrection

“I…

shall…

rise!”

The planet of Ölüm, sometimes even called The Forgotten Planet, stands still, only a few people on its ground. Near the Pit, which is famous for holding the powerfully remarkable Keeper of Essences, everything is silent. Not many people dare to go around it at all. Some say the place is haunted.

But it is true… Amongst the many souls the Keeper is supposed to keep in it, there is Darth Malificete’s essence. She was a Sith Lord who died in a conflict with a Jedi. What a shame, one would say. But not this time.

Because she wants to come back.

That day was special. For an unknown reason, there are many wonderful people on the planet. They are brave, that’s for sure.

“Darth Ayra, have you ever dreamed of being free from all problems? Have you ever wanted to be immune to drama? Do you want to have a… lucky life? Come to my voice, I say, and your wishes will be granted!” was something [member="Alicia Drey"] could hear in her voice. Malificete spoke to her telepathically. Everything she say was a lie, but her voice and words sounded so compelling that not many could stand against it.

At the same time, [member="Darth Kentarch"] could hear the following, “Being the most poweful Sith Lord to ever exist is a dream all Sith have, am I right? But you could have it, if you want to. Come to me, follow my voice! I can give you everything you have dreamed of!”

Darth Kentarch and Darth Ayra were both on boats which stood in the sea surrounding the Island of Life and the reason for them being there were unclear to everybody.

At the same time, a Jedi known as [member="Rasu Gan"] was in the swamp near the Pit, and heard something in her mind too. “Rasu Gan, I have heard you have some weaknesses. They are awful, I understand you. Having weaknesses it terrible. But now I give you the chance to get rid of them. If you want it, there is a simple task you would have to do…”

[member="Asterion"], another Sith, who stood behind the Wall, would hear another story in her mind, “Mortal beings… Dying is plain idiocracy, right? Many people die every day. But not you, if you find me! I could grant you the power to never die, if you come to me and do what I ask you to!”

Among others, there was [member="Cale Gunderson"], another Sith, who heard something completely different. “Hello, Cale! I am a powerful genie and I would love to grant you one wish of the following: world peace, complete dominance over the whole galaxy, or ultimate powers to change people’s mind. Which one would you choose?”

And there was of course [member="Noah Corek"]. “The Force is incredible. Have you ever wanted to have its powers and immediately become a Master in using it? Well, now is your chance! Please, come and do a little thing for me and then… the Force is yours.”

What was Malificete doing? None of the brave people knew what’s going on. But Malificete was trying to get one of these six people to resurrect her by channeling enough power into the Tombstones of Life which would then… release Lilith Mae Lancaster’s essence.

She was waiting in the middle of the Pit, in a stone which was known as the Keeper of Essences, just waiting for them.

RULES & GOALS
The Basic
  1. In one post, one character may move only 1 or 2 tiles. It's up to players to decide whether they should move one tile or two tiles. If needed, players will be assisted.
  2. Site rules apply to the thread, too. So no godmodding, killing others without approval or anything like that.
  3. The resurrection energy can't be released before the character hasn't seen the Vision or found a holocron regarding its information.
  4. Post order is important! Please post during your turn! Turns are determined by the order in which players join the thread.
  5. Posting time is no more than 36 hours. If you haven't posted during your turn in 36 hours, you will be skipped and the next person in queue will be given the right to continue. This rule is not in effect in case of a LOA or in case the player has announced their absence during this one turn.
MAIN GOALS
Have to be achieved to end the thread. Every goal can be achieved by only one person.
Get to the Beginning Tree and have the Vision.
Get to the Keeper of Essences and release enough energy to resurrect Malificete.

SECONDARY GOALS
Don't have to be achieved, but will bring more story.
Win a duel against another player.
Scare somebody away from the Keeper of Essences or the Beginning Tree.

At G-11, moving to H-10
Noah had heeded the call of the mystery woman, he had always wondered what would happen to him if he was able to wield the force, but now being given the chance to use and at the level of a master? Noah couldn't shy away from the oppurtunity. So now here he was walking through a forest, HK-45 Blaster Pistol in one hand and one of his cortosis-weave vibro-blades in the other, using the blade to cut branches and vines while keeping the blaster pistol leveled in front of him in case of a threat. After a few minutes of walking, Noah, watching in front of him and not watching the ground, tripped over something that seemed like a cube of sorts, upon closer inspection, Noah found it to be a holocron, of course since he wasn't a force-user, he couldn't open it and instead put it away in his satchel for later.

Darkness. That was what surrounded her. Pure, innate darkness. It called to her, and before she knew anything, it had enveloped the Shi'ido, whispering its seductive words into her mind, filling her utter conscious with its conniving malice.

“Rasu Gan, I have heard you have some weaknesses. They are awful, I understand you. Having weaknesses is terrible. But now I give you the chance to get rid of them. If you want it, there is a simple task you would have to do…” the creatures words echoed, reverberating throughout her mind. A cold shiver rippled down the woman's spine as she felt the being retract, leaving the Jedi to her own thoughts. Rasu classed herself as one of the more powerful mental adepts in her order, and to see all her mental defenses break like brittle leaves against the wind, sent true fear into the Shi'ido's heart. Who is this being? she thought, slowly standing up as she found herself among the mud and murky water of a swamp. Ignoring the screeching of various birds, Rasu passed her hand over her belt, taking comfort and easing the dissipating fear in her heart as her hand grazed over the cool metal of her two lightsabers. Unhooking both, she eased her growing anxiety, gripping both as she began at a slow pave towards what looked like the distant end of the murky area. If she was to gain some idea of where she was and who had entrapped her here, then she would need to leave the swamp and get a better look around.

With the screeches of unseen birds driving her onwards, Rasu leaped and ran through the shallow waters, each time leaving a loud squelch as her boot erupted from the damp, soft ground. Again the Jedi placed her right foot down, feeling it sink into the earth before it tightened its hold over the garment. Letting out a gasp, Rasu fell forward bringing her arms up as she descended into the pool of water, her robes and body immediately becoming drenched and cold. Grunting in frustration, the Shi'ido pulled herself up and continued on her run, her water-laden robes weighing her down as she continued onwards. The screeching became louder and louder, causing Rasu's ears to tremble slightly under the sheer vibration.

Choosing to ignore it Rasu continued at her original pace, starting to sniff traces of fresh air over the pungent odor of the swamp emerald grass soon came into view in what seemed only a few meters away. However it was a particular loud screech and a tingling at the base of her spine that caused Rasu to drop once again into the murky water, this time on instinct alone. The Shi'ido's hair whipped over her face as a great gust swooped over her. Looking up Rasu caught sight of a dozen large birds, beaks shaped a great distance in front of their body, sunlight glinting off the sharp, scarred cones. Another screech bellowed from one of the birds gaping mouth, as the group circled back for another attack at the Shi'ido. Bustling onto her feet, Rasu broke out into a run, sprinting forward towards a more solid surface, as her sabers sprung into life, their green and yellow glow reflecting off the dark liquid that rippled below her.

Leaping forward, Rasu felt another gust as the birds swooped over her, missing her by an inch as she collided with the soft, sweet-smelling grass. A sharp twinge in her elbow caused Rasu to look down a witness the gaping tear in her robe, as thick blood began to seep out of the flesh wound and down her arm in thin streams. Gritting her teeth, she cast her gaze back up into the sky, watching as her attackers flew further into the swamp, giving up on the Shi'ido now having left their territory. Lying on her back, Rasu stared up into the pristine sky, thinking over the events that had just occurred. She still had no idea where she was, and now idea of what she was doing here. The sun bet down upon the woman's green skin, as slowly she closed her eye, giving into the exhaustion and fatigue caused by her brief escape and mental confrontation.

Asterion rested his back against the tall wall behind him. Looking out over the crashing waters to his right down below, it was a peaceful planet from what he had seen of it. But Asterion wasn't here on Ölüm for the peace. He was hear to answer the question spoken by one in his mind.

Teasing him out here with the lure of eternal life. The potential to become one of, it not THE most powerful Sith the galaxy had seen in eons.

Still, here was only one way to go, and it wasn't off the cliff edge. He pushed himself up form the tall, cold wall and pulled started to follow the wall along the stretch of grassland he was on, hoping to find where it would lead and hopefully further forward to find something of this mystery voice from somewhere on the planet itself...

Coruscant, Undercity, three weeks ago

Alicia Drey was becoming a prominent figure in the Undercity of Coruscant. Rumored to be affiliated to the Sith above, the acts that she and Christian Slade had done to the lower levels, following a turf war between the Hydra and Black Alchemists, had been a truly frightening show of power. Witnesses were being dealt with, over time. To those unfortunate few who remembered her face and tied it into the pleasant beauty that was seen in establishments such as The White Diamond and The Lucky Den, were found to have had an unfortunate accident or committed an act of suicide. Otherwise, it was rumored that a woman decimated the Hydra and then disappeared. Perhaps one of the Sith from above had gone down below to lay all manners of death and destruction? It wasn't an empty assumption. Sith were known to do such acts.

It was in the Lucky Den that Ayra learned of the Keeper of Essences. Thought to an old artifact, Darth Ayra, the real name behind the alias of Alicia Drey, was intrigued. Leaving her matters on Coruscant to the Black Alchemists that worked for her, the Sith Lord took the Niathal from the One Sith occupied planet to Ölüm, following the information she had brought from the smugglers who had planned an expedition there. They wouldn't be following her either, thus joining the other criminal folk that had died recently since her emergence in the underworld.

Moving from A2 to A3

Present day

Instead of the flowing dresses, jewelery and make up that presented Alicia Drey as the desirable businesswoman, stood Darth Ayra on the deck of the sailing boat she had purchased from a local fishing village. The continent where the Keeper of Essences was said to be directly south of the village; and so Ayra had used the ship to transport her there. Dressed in a Sith robe, which swirled and blew slightly in the sea gusts surrounding the boat, Ayra had no crew to speak of to assist her.

As a child, the Sith Lord had been raised on the Sith Marauder training regime by her first Sith Master, Darth Mendacium. One of the phases on this particular round of training was aquatic survival. Learning how to use boats, such as the one she found herself on currently, seemed beneath those in this age of technological marvels. But in rare cases, such as that on Ölüm, star ships were unable to make their way to the continent; and so in that respect, Darth Ayra was more prepared than most in the galaxy.

“Darth Ayra, have you ever dreamed of being free from all problems? Have you ever wanted to be immune to drama? Do you want to have a… lucky life? Come to my voice, I say, and your wishes will be granted!”

The voice was unfamiliar and yet powerful. Attuning her senses to it's presence, Ayra diverted her boat towards the voice.

H-10 to I-9 aka the Beginning Tree
Noah sighed in relief as he finally came upon the end of the giant forest he had been walking through, with a fair amount of unease as he looked at the landscape around him, nothing but pure grasslands, easy for someone to see or be seen, which was a blessing and a curse. Of course, that when Noah saw it.

A tree out in the distant, not part of the forest, that was appearant as Noah saw no other trees around it. Upon approaching the tree, Noah found that his head seemed to be more clouded and his eyelids heavier and then when he touched the tree he passed out or that's what it would've looked like to anyone observing him, but what was truly happening was that he was having a vision, a vision upon how to release the essence from the Keeper.

That voice. There was only one voice in the entire galaxy that resonated with such a tone, and Vitor was all too familiar. She had seduced him, and yet it hadn't been a bad thing - he had two wonderful kids. But one of them had cost Lilith her life, and he was here to return her to the living state she rightfully deserved. With a small and short degree of focus, he sensed the primary region of power deep within the Pit and, rushing through the shallow water as best as his armor would let him travel, he hurried towards the Pit of Despair.

"I'm coming, my love... You'll be with Lilin and Vindi again very soon."
