The Raid On Bone City

bone_city_by_milkduster-d9978th.jpg
A place known by only the worst of the worst. It was a metropolis built upon the dead. Slaver central. Here Trandoshan’s reigned. A gang of pirates headed the city as its leaders. They offered up brutal sacrifices to their gods in the arena and used the bones in the cities design. It was a horrid place. It even smelled bad… At least to Desmond’s keen nose it did. He floated in Mugg Fallow’s outer atmosphere, hidden in the ring of derelict ships that orbited it.
There was once a time when he would have frequented a world like this. Maybe not for the arena, but at least for the cheap “attractions” and good ale. Those days were long behind him now. Now he was here on official Alliance business. At least that’s what he liked to call it. Truth was he owed the leader of the city a lot of money and decided to exercise his power as an Alliance agent to get out of it. In fact, he did a lot of things the alliance didn’t know about...
But this time he was doing some good! Bringing down a notorious gang of slavers is the epitome of the “good fight”, so if I completed this I'd counter all the bad things I ever did. Or, at least that was his main reasoning for this suicide mission. Now, how to free those slaves? He still hadn’t quite figured that part out yet. He was to meet some sort of group of individuals who worked with the cities underground.
He made his way from the cockpit to the ships lounge. It was dark inside the room, he had to keep the power on low so as not to be discovered. His lounge was covered in trash and beer cans. All purely cosmetic. He made a trail through the garbage and activated his holocom. He hailed the rest of his partners and his crew. “So, guys got any ideas?” Des asked curiously. Then hastily he added “I got a couple! I just want to hear yours first,”

Orion was floating in the outer atmosphere not far from [member="Desmond C'artyom"]'s ship. He had everything in his starfighter shut off and was just about to fall asleep when the comm came to life. "So, you guys got any ideas?" Ideas? Orion was waiting for someone else to come up with a good idea. He had never been to Bone City before and hadn't been given any information about the slavers on the surface. He had no idea what the layout of their base was or where they even were in the city. He didn't even know where the blasted city was! He just had heard that someone was organizing a crew to hunt down slavers and he figured he would join in. It was the least he could do.

But ideas? Orion had none, and he figured he would let the others know. "I've got nothing!" Then Orion leaned back in his seat and looked out into the darkened sky.

Desmond would not be greeted by the face of the man who was already on site, but by a woman who had an Echani like appearance about her. The woman was likely nearing her twenties, and she had a rather bored expression on her face while the background sounds of reptilian-like shouting if one could call such a thing shouting.

"Hello there, unfortunately, Edric is a bit preoccupied entertaining the targets with a nice game of pazaac. I will be acting in his place to receive information and plan while he is busy keeping them distracted."

True to her word Edric was distracting them. He understood how these creatures operated to a level, after all he had been a catch and seen what Trandoshans do when they by slaves. Luckily he was not one of their's and had only watched but the fact remained he understood them on a base level. So when one came with interest in the hunt, offering to pay them and perhaps even purchase any that the Trandoshans no longer wanted, the lizards were simply ignorant of the plans that Edric had.

Unlike his predecessor, Edric was not a known face. He wasn't even known to the planet he was supposed to take over quite yet so as far as a beast would know, he was simply awell-payingg buyer or hunter himself.

"He is quite busy..." She would mention as another round of noise appeared from nowhere.

The Event Horizon floated nearby, running silent, all non-vital systems turned off. The massive Tal-Corvette, crewed by a skeleton crew made up of Grey Squadron, had been brought along, the massive armaments and space within, to free the slaves on the planet below.

"I don't think bombing the planet from orbit would be a good idea." the Leiutenant said jokingly. "Could we drop in the city?"

"Stay Out before I throw you into the catacombs boy!" A Trandoshan yelled as Jack was thrown from a bar in the slums of Bone city. The teen would simply laugh as he looked at the As-Aki that sat on his shoulder. "Trix, I thought you said that man had a rat on his face." He said as he walked into a Alleyway.

"No I said that wasn't a rat, it was his beard." The fairy sighed. Jack laughed before pulling out a clump of hair from his pocket.

"Well no need for that then...go home rat" he would say as he dropped the clump of hair. The teen reached for his comm link and brought it to his face became serious as he heard [member="Desmond C'artyom"]'s question. A plan...oh a plan, a plan to free the slaves. He would chuckle as he heard the crew's plans...so far nothing. The Sephi brought his comm up to his mouth before looking at the As-Aki Trix.

"I got a plan!...yeah...a plan!" The teen said as he jumped around, anyone who walked past the alley would stare, clearly the teen was drawing attention.

"Let's steer clear of the arena though, Trix said it's trouble" He said in a whisper.

He then thought for a moment.

"We need a diversion...get the attention of the baddies...then we scare em with you spacy people." He said with a giggle.

He would crouch down in a shadow of the buildings...waiting.

Sarah walked slowly, the streets of the city lined with drunks, guns, and drunk guns. She'd officially made it into the slums, and many of the bones that made up the architecture here were decomposing. Gross. Her white armor was upon her, with her Enforcer Pistol holstered on her right side and her carbine in her hands. The wrist-mounted datapad on her right arm lit up, and she tapped on it several times, selecting the options to transmit the feed directly to her HUD. The voice of Desmond came through first, followed by several more that they admitted to having no plans. Outside of the general framework of their little escapade, there wasn't much they had in mind, and there were many ways to go about this.

The voice belonging to a young boy came across, saying he had a plan. Of course a diversion would be necessary. "Why stay away from the arena? Wouldn't it make more sense to go there, because they often hold quantities of slaves nearby for the terrible events they hold at the place?" Sarah ducked into an alleyway, double-checking her gear. Everything seemed in place, and she spoke again. "I'm on the ground already, let me know where and when to proceed."

Siriwook has a plan. It's not a good plan, but she has it, nonetheless. To save time she writes it down in Basic: "It goes like this--I will ice the main road using the Force. However long it takes, I'm going to ice it all and then hide. Then, when the patrols come, they'll slip on the ice, and shout in surprise. More and more will slip on the ice. While they slip over one another and cause a ruckus, everyone else will go open cages."

"Rrra? [Good?]" she asks. Remembering something, she scribbles on the end; "Lizards don't like the cold."

Desmond sat staring as everyone seemingly, but Siriwook came up with no ideas at all. "That's a good idea Siri, but I think I got a better one," He put a hand to his chin and contemplated whether or not he should open his mouth again "I still gotta few contacts planet side. Now what if, and just hear me out," Des put his hands up to his chest in defense "We used you as bait Siri. We could go in pretend to want to sell you get led to the slaves and lead them out of the tunnels," The tunnels might be a problem. As they were a literal maze, but we they'd cross that bridge when they got their!

Des descended to the planet below and landed in the outskirts of the city. No one was going to question a freighter not landing in the bays. Not here at least. He'd link up with the others at one of the local pubs.

"Roooarrgh ur roo. [I've got a bad feeling about this]" nevertheless, Siriwook concedes. As much as she wants to see lizard people slipping on ice, she can be bait. But, first, she carefully removes her headdress and hands it to Desmond for safe keeping.

"Uraugh aruu. Augh ruagh. [This is all I own. Please take care of it]"

Now wearing what a wookiee wears best, Siriwook was ready to be bait.

Orion guided his fighter down, landing on the outskirts far from [member="Desmond C'artyom"]'s ship. He climbed out, making his way into the city. The city was a dark and ominous place. He felt that there were creatures in the darkness watching them. He wasn't sure what they were, but he could sense them. He knew that the planet would be hostile, and he was prepared to deal with it, but he wasn't planning on being skulked this whole time.

He strolled the whole way to the pub, nonchalantly. Once he finally walked in to the disgusting place, he got a large table at the back, sitting down and waiting for his partners.

Coming off of a few years of mercenary work Nar Shadaa, Valo Spar could be considered an industry veteran. After fleeing that desolate moon it was only fitting that his first stop would a metropolis just as deplorable. He had not come here by pure chance though. His Trandoshan contact on the planet, had guaranteed him work should he come and visit. Although after seeing the planet first hand, he wasn't sure he would be here all that long.

Spar's holo communicator started buzzing while he sat at the star port's pub enjoying a few pitchers Trandoshan ale. "This beer taste like warm piss, at least they brew it very strong here" he thought to himself before answering the call.

[A hulking Trandoshan projects onto the pub's counter]

Spar: "Ah good old Gordar, how we doing buddy?"
Gordar: " Spar. Glad you made it here, I have a job for you right now if you're interested."
Spar: "As long as I'm paid well it will be done, you know that."
Gordar: "One of my contacts has informed me that an Alliance agent is after our slaves here in Bone City. He didn't have a name for me, but I'm working on that right now. I need you to stop whoever thst is at all costs. I can't afford to lose another slave or my boss will kill me, and trust me you don't want to know what happened to the last slave master. "
Spar: "It will be dealt with. I'll ask around if anyone's seen an Alliance agent around here, should stick out like a sore thumb. You want the person or persons dead or alive?"
Gordar: "We could always use more slaves but it doesn't matter either way to me. Just get it done."

[Transmission cuts]

Spar chugs the rest of his beer, throws some credits on the counter, and heads out in search of his target.
