The Rancor in the Room

Once they were on their way the Chimeara in their rear few Vengeance made his way to the Armory. He fully expected to see his Apprentice their waiting on him.

Her timing had been less than ideal when she dropped her little bundle of a bombshell on him just as they were headed to a meeting that could have gone south in a hurry. He had played it off but it had been obvious her mind had been anywhere other than the task at hand during the meeting. That put them both at risk.


So to prevent a repeat of that it was time to handle the Rancor in the room.

"So now that we have a moment....................I get the impression you didn't get to finish what you were telling me before we had to meet with Admiral Rade."

He paused.

"Sorry you didn't get more of a heads up on that." "Truthfully while I am not surprised it came I was not expecting it."

she truly had been paying attention during the meeting, but her mind yes had been else where

mostly she was still in shock and did not expect to get that news...and she was nervous as to what would happen after

im..guess im still in shock sir....i knew it...well you took a risk when...you did that i just didnt expect id become pregnant

she said and paused before she sighed not wanting to look weak

but it doesnt matter i wont stop my training at all sir

Vengeance chuckled.

"I do believe that is my decision." "Not only as your Master but as the father."

Vengeance sighed.

"I assume you have concerns." "Now would be the best time to air them." "I don't need to explain how dangerous it can be for you to be so distracted around other people." "Especially other Sith."

Vengeance paused.

"Even if I don't hear from Darth Mephirium or Admiral Rade again I guarantee they will be watching us." "While the initial encounter was accidental the second one obviously was not." "Plus I doubt they will be the last."

yes sir i understand

she said then looked forward again

my only concern is the well being of the child, will my training goes as intense as it has or will it change?......i am sorry sir that was a one time blunder it wont happen again

she said and nodded

Vengeance smiled a hand reaching out and cupping Anya's cheek.

"Your training will continue...............there will be no sparing however." "Can't have you risking our child................you suck at sparing."

Vengeance chuckled.

"There are a great bit of things like meditation and some other abilities you can work on until the baby is born."

Vengeance sighed.

"Although we may have to find a temporary nurse or something to join the crew." "Sadly pregnancy is outside of my skill set."

she looked at him feeling his touch...she was confused...this gentleness ffrom him was odd...yet she enjoyed it, she laughed when she said she sucked at sparring

you do have a point there sir i do suck at it

she said and smiled

that sounds good to me either way i will not disappoint you

that would be a good idea sir..i rather our child come out healthy and safe

Vengeance chuckled.

"Our child is Sith............and will come out an unholy menace."

He smiled a genuine smile as if the concept made him happy to think about. A true Sith devoid of preconceived notions and misguided ideals. It would be a refreshing change to be sure.

Vengeance leaned in and kissed Anya gently on the forehead.

"Now go get cleaned up and get some rest." "I have a feeling we have seen the last moments of peace for a while."

as his father is...and as his mother who will be as well

she saw his genuine smile and her heart jumped, she hadnt seen this before and...it caused her to smile truly smile for awhile

she closed her eyes as she leaned up and kissed his cheek bowing before nodding

she said leaving to get cleaned up and then go rest
