The Real Interrogation

Location: First Order Prison, Avalonia, Forst Order Space
Time: Unknown

Tydus was sticking his nose where it didn't belong, mostly in his investigation of he Dark Side. I.E. Messing around with the Temple of the Knights of Ren Enclave or Temple. He didn't really know much about them, just that they'd be easier to infiltrate then the Rouge Sith places of hidding. That's what he figured at least, and that, as you can see, was totally wrong. With their recent victories in the Fringe Territories, their security was top notch, almost impossible, this he was captured trying to access the the Temples Archive. He didn't even plug in before half a platoon of First Order Troopers stormed his position, subduing him and imprisoning him here, in this lovely place.

He stood against the wall, his hands bound in some kind of object. It didn't bother him to much but he was a little upset that his Force Conealment was interrupted. When the Troopers stormed his position, they broke his passive concentration. This now made it available for Force Users to know he was a Force User. He was a Grey Wonderer, someone that was capable of using both Light and Dark Sides of the force. Instead of fighting one another though, they entered his body and combined, making a neutral, or mixed presence through the force.

He waited for his interrogator, he had never been in a First Order Prison, let alone the First Order itself. This wasn't his first track as a prisoner though, he worked in a One Sith Labor Camp for a short time before escaping. Now he just waited

The Sith Lord made his way down the hallway of the First Order prison. It was rare that he got the opportunity to interrogate a spy and what made it even better was that this spy was not your run of the mill spy, this one could wield the Force. That he didn't seem to have the presence of someone distinctly tainted by the Light Side or the Dark Side made him even more peculiar. The things this spy was supposedly studying also intrigued the Sith. Learning about an Orders combat techniques and studying their military tactics was understandable, but their philosophy? Why would someone without an allegiance to neither Dark nor Light wish to learn more about the philosophy of an Order devoted to the Dark Side of the Force?

He finally arrived at the cell door. Praetorias was looming over the guards in front of him, unnecessary as they were, protocol as protocol and the Order very much loved their protocol. He was a thin, yet tall figure, though his robes made him appear more broad. His face was obscured by the shadow of the robe's hood, only his almost glowing red-yellow eyes were clearly visible. He stood there for a while, sizing up the spy inside the cell. He was shorter than Praetorias, like many others, and despite his position as a prisoner in deep within First Order controlled space, he seemed oddly calm.

"I understand that you were searching through the Archives of the Knights of Ren. Tell me, for I am wondering this, why were you searching through their philosophies and studies of the Dark Side, not their military tactics or combat techniques? Usually spies are not philosophers, in search of more practically "useful" information to sell to the highest bidder."

Tydus didn't look at the man that was speaking to him, feeling through the force he knew this was a Dark Sider, and a strong one at that. He was in search of any information on Dark Side abilities as well as teachings of dark side techniques. These were not easy things to find just laying around, Jedi across the galaxy went on crusades to destroy such teachings. Tydus himself was a Wonderer, searched across the Galaxy to liberate these ideas from their paranoid owners and masters. Tydus believes all teachings were meant to be freely exchanges across people, many did not agree with him.

Another good sign was that they believed he was a spy, so long as they saw him useful, they wouldn't kill him. He didn't smile, but on the inside he couldn't help but feel amused, surely the Sith Lord could feel that in his presence. Tydus looked up to the ceiling, "Now who said I was a Spy? I was just lost and was looking for a map to the nearest exit."

A curious case, this one. Even the presence of a Sith Lord didn't phase his calm. Nerves like those were quite useful in battle, but also in situations like these. It would be interesting to see how long the spy could keep his calm. Sith aren't exactly renowned as the most pleasant beings to be around in the galaxy. Most people avoided them in fear of their life, those brave few who crossed their paths and stood their ground usually ended up dead, but there were always exceptions to the rule.

The Sith telepathically ordered the guards to leave with a simple hand wave. "And I'm sure you had just lost your tourist group as well, the Temple's architecture is just oh so confusing, isn't it?" The Sith Lord said calmly. "I know what you were doing there. Answer me, what did you need the teachings for?" Though Praetorias usually didn't tolerate insolence, this was a special case. This one had some potential. Perhaps if he could be turned, he would certainly a useful ally. If he answered correctly, that is.

Tydus could tell the Sith was starting to loose patients, teasing like he did wasn't in his best cause, but he needed to test the waters. Rumors had it the Forst Order wasn't keen on keeping prisoner, so it was strange to keep him. Pushing as he did was to push the limits of his surroundings, see what was the reason he was kept alive. Best to linger some fruit otherwise he would be seen as useless.

He straightened up off the wall and turned to the Sith Lord, still not making eyes contact and keeping his Silver Eyes hidden. "I was sent here to learn more of the powers of the Dark Side, it is my punishment."

It was true, slightly. He had been training the last survivor of the Dai Bandu, a force cult based on the premise of the balance of the force. To also study and master both light and dark sides of the force. He had been told to become a Dai Bandu, he must balance himself, let more darkness into his heart and then he could become a Dai Bendu. His true mission was to Wander again, searching the Galaxy for Dark Side abilities to properly balance himself out. Yet it wasn't working, everytime he would return to the last Dai Bendu, and still the old man would send him out again. He needed to know what it meant to be a Sith.

Learn more about the powers of the Dark Side? Now that was a good start. If the spy already had intentions of learning more, Praetorias would certainly indulge him. As a bonus, if he also felt resentment towards whoever "punished" him, turning him to the Dark Side would be even more of a possibility. This was starting to look promising.

The Sith Lord continued to stare at the man. He pulled back his hood with both hands and proceeded to fold his arms behind his back whilst opening the door of the cell with the Force, allowing him to step right in front of the spy and look down on him. "You are to be learn of the Dark Side of the Force? As a punishment? That is certainly very unusual, I've not heard of anyone being forced to learn of the Dark Side as a punishment before, especially when the Dark Side is by no means a punishment, but the path to true freedom." Praetorias said.

Opening the cell doors was certainly against regulations, but the Sith just couldn't stand the separation of the steel beams, as it removed a certain something from interrogations, some kind of unpredictability, as one party would sit behind bars, only answering questions and the other would sit in front and ask the questions. This way it was more dynamic, more exciting, simply more entertaining.

This had peaked his interest now, the Sith was now entering the area of his prisoner, making it more personal maybe? These were very different techniques then what was tried before on him. He decided to try his luck a little more, maybe this would be better then asking a computer. "Freedom, how would the chaos of passion be freedom?"

He lifted his head a little but tried his best to keep his eyes hidden. He looked over the figure of the man, his Silver eyes were covered by his black hair. The stubble on his jaw and upper lip where visible, but he still tried to hide his face. He didn't know why, but he feared this man, the energy he let off through the force was enormous and large. He felt the terror and passions that drove the man, one of the skills he heightened was Force Sence, seeing though the force.

Praetorias felt a sudden shift in the man's composure. It seemed his approach was working. "True freedom in the sense of complete and utter control. As a follower of the Dark Side, you do not need to bow to the ideals of someone trying to keep you down by requiring you to follow the "way of the Force"; The Dark Side allows you to dominate the Force, bend it to your will, not the other way around. It also allows you to have control over those around you that are weaker and the more control you have over your surroundings, the more freedom you will have to act as you please. A follower of the Light Side might say "No, we have to bend to the will of the Force", but that is merely to keep their students from learning of their true potential, one that the Dark Side would further immensely."

It was true. The complete freedom was what Praetorias had always loved about the Dark Side. He could never grasp why someone would submit to the Force and only act to help everyone around them, whilst letting themselves stagnate. All for the "greater good", some delusional dream the definition of which changed with each new spiritual leader they got, but oh dear, his hatred of the Jedi was starting to seep through. The Sith shook off that train of thought and continued to concentrate on the situation at hand.

So this was the possibility of the dark side, the ability to grab the force and bend it to their will. The chaos of it all was ah-inspiring, tempting as it always was. He had always wanted to control the Dark Side of the Force, was this the way, was he sent here to learn that he must obtain the dark side by force? These questions swirled in his head, but he kept a calm composure, showing weakness to a Sith was always a bad idea.

"To be a Sith, you must dominate the force? How does one do this, taking control of the Force?"

"It comes down to the approach you have when using the powers of the Force. To draw upon the Force as a Dark aligned individual, you make the Force do what you command; You must impose your will upon the Force, make it serve you, use your emotions to fuel the figurative fire of the Dark Side and let it make you stronger, so that in turn, you can dominate the things around you and become even stronger. To do it the other way around, to let the Force flow through you, guide you, is to embrace the Light Side of the Force, and that path will lead you only to eternal servitude, shackled to the will of the Force." The Sith said, looking around the room for a simple object. He found a small chair that would be useful enough for his purpose.

"See that chair? As a follower of the Light Side, I would try to calm myself, align myself with the Force, let it flow through me and aid me in lifting the chair." And so the chair did, however there was a noticeable change in the Force Signature of the Sith Lord. The underlying feeling of darkness that permeated his presence was still there, but there was a faint feeling of calm and serenity that simply felt out of place amongst the otherwise roaring fire that was the Dark Side. Then the chair dropped back to the ground.

"Now, if I used the Dark Side of the Force, I would let my emotions run wild, use them to intensify the fire of the Dark Side and then dominate it with my will, commanding it to lift the chair, instead of letting it aid me, I use it." And again, the chair started lifting off the ground. This time however, the Sith Lord's emotions could be felt, he let his anger and passion flow through him, let them make the Dark Side more intense.

"As you can see, and feel, the Dark Side and the Light Side are fairly different. Whereas the Light Side resembles more of a calm river, flowing through you, aiding you in your endeavours; The Dark Side is a fire, full of emotion and unrest, one that you must try to control using your emotions and force of will."

Tydus shifted himself, looking around at the chair then the man. He was finally seeing the problem he was facing while working to be a grey Wonderer. He was too calm with using the dark side, and when he would use it his emotions were out of control. To use the Dark Side, you must use your emotions as fuel, then control that power. The dark side was like captioning your own ship, while the Light Side was like piloting a starship, having the control tower tell you when to do stuff.

He looked up at the Sith showing his Silver eyes now, he didn't have a smile, but he was happier to know this. That damned old man didn't punish him, more of just sent him on a field trip. "Rather interesting Sith Lord, one last question and I'll tell you where I come from and who sent me."

Ah, so the Sith had been rambling about the Dark Side of the Force again, curious what a deep hatred for Jedi and their philosophies will do to an otherwise very focused man. He turned back to the man in front of him, ready to finally question him, when he was met with a question himself. "And what might that be?"

Surely it could not hurt to answer one more question to get to the information he required? Especially not when this might keep an impression of a more friendly, less bloodthirsty murdering Sith, one that the young one might perhaps prefer over his current master, when the frustrations of his punishments become too much to bear and the ember of the Dark Side the Sith had hopefully created this day sprung up into a fire. Perhaps the spy could be turned after all? But that was all speculation, he would certainly have enough time in the future, considering the spy would be behind locked doors.

Tydus's cuffs fell to the floor, a clank of metal and metal contact rattled the room as the he still didn't make a step. Cuff were easy for him, he was a criminal before becoming a Grey Wonderer, and probably would return after his training. Along with having cybernetic limbs and such he chose to wait till breaking out, but figured this would be the better time. He only lifted his right arm and pointed to the sword hanging from the Sword that was hanging from the Siths Side, "That sword of yours had been yelling out to me since before you arrived, what is it?"

This weapon was no ordinary blade, it was something more, something that was part of the force. No, it was an extension of the force maybe, it had been bothering him since the man arrived. The screams of pain and blood and all parts Dark Side. It absolutely interested him, he had to know more.

Breaking free of your handcuffs, right in front of a Lord of the Sith? Now that took courage, however it was foolish. To break free while your interrogator was still present was not the best tactical decision, conjuring up his disdain for tactical errors, the Sith Lord used the Force to grab the Spy by the throat and push him into the far side wall. "Not clever." He said, as he held the spy there for a few seconds and then let him off, he didn't wish to kill the man, for he would still be useful. Additionally, this would maybe cause the spy to also develop a hatred towards him, or the Sith in general. A hatred that would fester and grow until they met again, when the Sith Lord could push him over the edge, fully into the Dark Side, but once more, that was mere speculation.

"But you were asking about my sword." He grabbed its hilt, unsheathing part of it and holding the sword up. A faint light blue mist started forming around the blade, appearing like a shadow of the wind whenever the blade moved. "This blade once belonged to a Master of the Jedi. I took his life and as a prize, his most cherished weapon. Why do you wish to know more about it, it is merely a piece of steel imbued with the Force?"

I'm not quite sure what you were going for with unlocking the cuffs, but if my response was out of line in your eyes, feel free to PM me to change it; It just felt like Praetorias would not simply stand there while his prisoner took of his handcuffs, which is why he responded in the way he did. Again, sorry if it's out of line, I just felt that was the most appropriate character response to the situation.

Tydus flew into the wall, and yet he did not react, the chocking did not effect him either. The man was a Cyborg, all of his limbers were severed by a Siths Lightsaber, thus replaced with flat black cybernetic limbs. The one thing most people didn't realized, was that 50% of Tydus' internal organs were also Cybernetic or Synthetic, including his Cybernetic Voice Changed. A peice of tech that was implanted in his throat as a child after a Sith crushed his voice box, and he nearly suffocated. After 20 years of constant self repair and self improvement, rubbery synthetic skin and constant surgery made him nearly immune to force choke, at long as it wasn't for long periods of time.

As he was held against the wall he still kept an eye on the steel blade, he had seen one before. It took him a second, but as he was coming to a conclusion he was dropped from the wall and landed on the floor. He fell to one knee and recovered without a whimper, only gazed apon the weapon. As he unsheathed the weapon, a small wave of force energy came over him, he knew where he had seen a weapon like this before. "The Grey Jedi, the vision, he had a weapon like that, I must seek out the Grey Jedi!"

A spark of dark side energy flowed through Tydus, his anger tword the man he saw in his vision. The man had started this journey, and instead of finding a purpose, he only found pain and misery. The man was just a constant reminder of the Master who left him alone in this Galaxy. The floodgates were oppened, without noticing it, Tydus let off massive amounts of hatred and anger, not twords Praetorias. Yet tword everyone.

It's good, was trying to invoke some kind of response.

Curious. A Grey Jedi? Was that the one who sent the spy here? Irrelevant for now, Praetorias would get the answer eventually. What was very relevant for now, however, was the amount of hatred and anger the Sith Lord could perceive from the Curious. A Grey Jedi? Was that the one who sent the spy here? Irrelevant for now, Praetorias would get the answer eventually. What was very relevant for now, however, was the amount of hatred and anger the Sith Lord could feel from the man. Was he truly turning to the Dark Side of the Force? Perhaps, but the spy would have to be trained properly. His anger was wild, untamed, unfocused. He would have to be trained to direct his anger towards one figure to truly become Sith, but they would have time for that. The young spy was after all going to remain imprisoned here, unable to seek out this "Grey Jedi". The Sith was certain the First Order Troopers could handle a mere spy. He might have to tell them to increase the amount of guards and safety measures, as the spy could get out of his restraints fairly easily, but Praetorias doubted that he would get out of this cell so easily.

"Tell me, who is this Grey Jedi who had wielded a blade so much like mine?" He said. It was somewhat impressive that the young spy could still talk normally after what the Sith had done. This man must be quite resilient, if he could withstand the attack of a Sith Lord, now, mind you, it was not lethal, but it would have made any regular living being gasp for air. The Sith Lord would have to make sure to remember that. Changing his interrogation tactics would also not be a bad idea. For now he had laid the ground work and found out about some Grey Jedi. Perhaps he could dig deeper and find out who that Jedi was. Bringing back the memory of this person seemed to have gotten the spy to fly into a deep rage. Making him remember more about this Grey Jedi might just push him over the edge completely and make him a disciple of the Dark Side of the Force.

Tydus tried to regain control over his rage, but he had bottled it up for much to long. When it was released from its bottle, he was unable to contain it again. He was gifted with the force, and he was reminded every where he was that he had tremendous power. That of course was why Tydus hid his power, and why he lived the life of a Grey Wonderer. His powers were untrained and untested, yet he was a quick study and was dedicated to learning something he didn't know. As an apprentice without a master, this was total chaos as he learned everything he could get his hands on. His anger and frustration was not just at the grey Jedi, but at himself. He was sent in this mission, this journey, and he was failing. This was the moment his Dark Energy began to die down. He had no basis to be angry at the Grey Jedi that looked like him. He was only upset at himself, for reasons that were pitiful and useless. He could not forgive himself, but forgive about what he did not know.

He looked at the Sith Lord, his silver eyes were now corrupting with yellow pigments spreading like cancer from the center. The silver was still fighting back to defeat the corruption, and as a result, they were at a stand still. Tydus clenched jaw let out grunts more then words, but he spoke, "Te Jedi are no friend of mine, and neither are the Sith, I was sent to learn the ways of Dark and Light, bringing truth and Knowlage to the Galaxy, a journey I did not ask for, and a path I have followed here, you ask who sent me here," He stepped forward to look deeper into the Sith Lords eyes, "You asked who sent me to search the archives of the Knight of Ren, the Force showed me this path, and I just followed."

Tydus fell to one knee as his body tried to restore balance within, the balance of the scale within Tydus had tilted too much on the side of the Dark Side. His body was not attuned for such a dramatic shift and was fighting itself. The force had other plans for him, and they would be fulfilled.

The Sith Lord watched as the man in front of him tried to regain his composure. It was pitiful, really, trying to regain control over hatred and anger to go back to an idea of balance. The man would never embrace the Dark Side fully if this went on, he would never know what true freedom was, not know what it felt like to be truly powerful, to have true control over the Force. As the struggle inside the young spy continued, the Sith Lord made mental note of the effects it had on him. It was obvious he was off-balanced, but the Sith was not sure by how much. He could feel the Dark Side gaining strength within the man, but there was still something fighting back. Quite similar to his own issues, he thought, as he briefly contemplated his own condition. Yet for the Sith it was exactly reversed. The Dark Side was fighting back against whatever inkling of the Light was still left.

Praetorias smirked, this was certainly turning out to be an interesting day. Especially when the young man revealed his eyes once more. They were changing, Dark Side corruption was rapidly taking place, but not everywhere. His former self was still resisting. When he stepped even closer Praetorias made sure to take note of the man's current appearance, it might prove useful to him somehow in the future, at least that's what the scientific curiosity told him.

"Hm, the Force has sent you on this journey you did not wish to embark on? Well, perhaps it was time to stop struggling and embrace the Dark Side. If you are not doing this journey of your free will, then you are merely a slave to those who have sent you here. A slave that only lives to serve." He put special emphasis on the word serve, making it sound almost poisonous. "If you wished to gain back your freedom and become master over your own path, then you must embrace the Dark Side, for it is the only way to true freedom."

[member="Tydus Wryeens"]

[member="Darth Praetorias"]

Tydus struggle was long and hard, he could not shake the dark side that was in his heart. As he struggled before the Dark Lord, the man would continue to speak, and Tydus was still listening. What he was saying was true, he was truely a slave to the force.

A Slave....

That one word froze Tydus, froze his hatred, and froze his fighting. That one word got him thinking, and stopped the spread of light and dark as he no longer was concerned about hatred. He was not centered on the idea of that one word. Slave. Did he truely believe he was a slave to the force. He looked up to the ceiling as he thought deeply, and the words spilled out of his mouth. "Thank you Sith, you've finally opened my eyes to my punishment."

He was always tilted on the scales of the dark side. He wished to use the force, bend it to his will to use as a tool. His feeling tword others were in disgust or distain. He was the only one he was angry with, and that was the propble. He carried darkness within his heart, and that was what he was being punished for, he gave into his anger and was why he was sent to learn more of the dark side of the force. He was sent to learn the errors of his ways, not as punishment, but as a form of learning.

He lowered his gaze down to the Sith Lord as he finished speaking and thinking. His eyes were now back to silver, and the force began to balance within him. He still carried darkness in his soul, but they were no longer fighting. Tydus acknowledged that he carried darkness within him, and it was not something to fight, but embrace as it was apart of him, but he would not let his emotions control him again.

OOC: Escaping Soon, thanks again

Another interesting development, the man's eyes had become Silver once more and Praetorias could no longer feel a proper conflict within him. This was most interesting, indeed. The man seemed to have gone from a balanced individual, to one filled with "dark" emotions, close to embracing the Dark Side, to one that was balanced again. The Sith Lord did not know many who made this transition, but he would certainly remember this one. It was a most educational experience for him, if nothing else.

"Thank me? Oh, you should not thank me, there is much to be done still; And I do not believe you will like what I have planned." The Sith said, a grim smile forming on his face. As a short demonstration of the kind of things he had planned he let a bit of lightning crackle along his hands. He would most certainly enjoy the rest of this interrogation, now the he was certain that more would be required to further information out of the spy. He took another step closer, ready to unleash lightning, when footsteps and a slightly distorted voice interrupted him.

"Sir, your prisoner, the Rogue Jedi, he has escaped. We are unsure how, but-" the Trooper stopped when Praetorias turned to look at him.

"Keep an eye on this one, I will deal with the problem myself." He said, then turned back to the spy "And you, enjoy this moment, for it shall be one of the few you will spend peacefully." He turned away again and extended his senses through the Force, trying to find out exactly where the Rogue Jedi had gone. He then quickly disappeared down the corridor, with speed assisted by the Force. The Troopers would certainly be enough to keep the spy there, after all they were not incompetent, much unlike many of the troops that Praetorias had the displeasure to serve with.
