The Rebellious Years

Asajj had been on Commenor for some time now, listening and watching among the common folk for any weaknesses or targets among the Sith soldiers who occupied the city. She had found one, a small and simple target. Within a nearby warehouse there was a databank with information on possible rebels. Information that needed to disappear.

She stood behind the building in an alleyway, waiting for a chance to slip by the pair of guards by the back entrance.

Kel had been wandering around Commenor for the past few days since finishing his last job for a client that lived on world. It wouldn't take long for him to find another job on-world; one that required him outside of a ship for once.

The job brought him to the vicinity of a local warehouse under the protection of the Sith. The plan was simple enough, but the matter of guards stationed around the building had made things difficult. He approached the back entrance, a hood raised over his head while his body jerked around as if he were drunk. He kept his hands in his jacket's pockets and made sure his movements were eccentric enough to catch their attention.

The two guards moved towards him with after the drunk refused to listen and go the opposite way. Intent on stopping the 'drunk' from getting any closer, they would be surprised when both of Kel's hands shot out of from his pockets in an impressive display of sobriety. Bringing his palms together into a clasp, the two men would find their heads forcefully smashed together before crumpling to the ground unconscious. Kel would only knock them out, preferring to not stain his hands with low-level thugs like those. Afterwards he would reach down to one of their unconscious bodies and search them for an access card into the building. "Consider yourselves lucky. The alternative may have been slightly worse." He'd mutter as his hands rummaged through the pockets of the first one.

"Okay, so in about thirty minutes the shift change should happen. That would be a good time to slip in, while they're changing out." The young Dathomir muttered to herself from the shadows, plotting and thinking her next move as methodically as possible. Being seen or caught would only end poorly for both her and Lady Kay. She turned her head away to glance to the palace for only a moment, then looked back.

"The fu- Hey!"

She looked back just in time to see [member="Kel Novastar"] smack the two guards into unconsciousness with the other, and a look of confusion and horror took over her otherwise calm features. Asajj burst from her hiding place and rushed over to the stranger looking through the bodies. "What are you doing!? The guard change is in thirty minutes!" She was yell whispering as angrily as she could given the circumstances.

"There we go." He grabbed an access card from a pocket inside one of the thug's vest just in time to catch the voice speaking up to him. Truth be told, he wasn't aware of the guard changes, but neither did he know who the woman was who just came out of nowhere.

"Thirty minutes? That's enough time to get in and get out."

It was safe to assume she was't here to stop him since she had not attacked him yet. A quick swipe of a stolen access card and the two of them were now facing an open door frame, and presumably a clear way through. "After you." Kel stepped to the side and grinned. "Assuming you're here for what's in there as well."

[member=Asajj Novar]

"You, th- What?" Asajj was flabbergasted, peering at [member="Kel Novastar"] with the most dumbfounded look. There was a lot of choice words she had for the stranger, but time wasn't on their side. With a huff she stepped past him and through the doorway. "We're going to have a lot to talk about after this. You'd best not run off." Once inside her demeanor changed. They were in enemy territory now. Well, if the Sith was an enemy to the stranger.

She pulled free a datapad, lighting up a detailed map of the facility.

"If we are after the same thing you want to get to the server room right?"

Kel made sure to quickly drag the two unconscious forms inside after she stepped into the building. He made sure to take their weapons and toss them into a nearby garbage can before walking inside and shutting the door behind him. Looking back towards his newfound acquaintance, he'd shrug his shoulders rather nonchalantly. He had no intentions of running off anywhere. Well, other than to collect his reward that is.

She didn't seem hostile, and for the most part appeared cooperative with him. As long as they could reach their goals without Kel ending up crossed in the process, he'd answer whatever questions she had.

Kel would give her a nod when she spoke up again, confirming that their objectives were one in the same. "Primarily...yeah." He'd begin. "There's information on there that my employer wants retrieved, then deleted. Afterwards, well..." He scratched at the side of his hair, a bit unsure of how to gently put his next words. "We'll get to that when we get there."

Kel made a last mental note of the map's facility currently being displayed on her datapad. Reaching near his waist, Kel removed the long-bladed dagger hidden beneath his coat in favor of a black and white lightsaber clipped to his belt. "Is there any information on the inside's security layout on your datapad?"

[member=Asajj Novar]

"Convenient. I'm tasked to delete a list of names off the server. Deleting multiple things could help throw off any trail." She was rambling aloud. Asajj wasn't use to working with someone else, though [member="Kel Novastar"] was more an asset than an ally. She left it on long enough for him to study the map, then turned it off and pocketed the datapad. "No, unfortunately. I got lucky picking this off a drunk officer. I suppose keep low and keep quiet is best." With that she checked the hidden blade around her wrist. It had been years since she last used it, but it felt as familiar as ever.

"You any good at sneaking?"

"I figured as much." Kel would speak up in reply, his eyes shifting back into the darkness once the light from the datapad went away. The woman had the right idea in regards to stealth being their best option. It wasn't his finest point, but he was good enough for it be a boon to his profession, past and present.

His frame moved towards the wall as he peered around the corner out of curiosity. He didn't see anyone, but the feint sound of footsteps was emanating from that general direction. Kel turned back in time to hear her speak once again, to which he'd give her a shrug in response. "I'm going to assume there's at least two guards in here. Maybe one or two more in the server room." He made sure to speak as quiet as possible in an effort to highlight the footsteps in the air.

"You want to take the lead?" He'd normally assume the burden himself, but he figured it was the polite thing to do considering the circumstances. Either way, he kept his blade close by in case a guard decided to head their way.

"Ladies first then?" She smirked in [member="Kel Novastar"] 's direction then burst around the corner he was waiting at. Her footsteps made no sound at all, in fact sound seemed to dampen all around her. Barefoot she ran, keeping to the shadows. Asajj was a trained assassin once upon a time. She came upon the pair of guards like an arrow from a bow, leaping towards one of the walls to jump off and kick one of the helmeted soldiers in the head. There was a resounding bang as her sythflesh metal foot slammed into the back of his head, knocking him out cold.

She then glanced over her shoulder for Novastar's progress on the other.
