The Reckoning: A tale of two Sith

Vengeance took a deep breath. It had been a rough and horribly disappointing couple of days. He stood in the cargo hold of the freighter looking around. Nothing had really changed. It still served as a makeshift armory with open floor space. The ship was headed not in a random vector to a random planet but to a very specific destination. One only know to Vengeance and the pilot.

He was waiting on [member="Anya Loma"] to join him. Their reconnection had hit more than a few snags but that is what happens during unplanned encounters. He had popped up in the open not so she could find him but to judge exactly how bad his enemies wanted to get at him and how far they would go. He quickly discovered the sins of his path had been forgotten. That was fine by him. He would just have to find new sins to commit. An idea that had everything to do with their current destination.

When his former Apprentice arrived it would look at her for a long moment not saying a word. He wondered what she would say and what she would do. Would she see his disappointment, would she react to it, or would she ignore it and pretend it didn't matter. She had failed to defeat an enemy but more importantly she had failed HIM.

[member="Vengeance"]

She didn't need to see him to know his disappointment, she could feel it. Even more so I scared her to know what would be in store for her, as the only man she could fear was her master. But the flame was drawn to such a source of power even almost to the point of being fanatical

As she walked forward she started right at him and once close enough she bowed her head in shame unable to look up into his eyes as she spoke in a meek tone

I've disappointed you my master, I can feel it...i failed to follow your orders and kill my target but instead let it get away....i deserve nothing but hell

He looked at her for a long moment not speaking letting the silence sink in. After a few minutes he would reach out through the Force willing it to circle and wrap around her throat squeezing not slowly but quickly to make her either fight back or drop to her knees.

He practically hissed "KNEEL."

He paused for a brief moment before he continued.

"DISAPPOINTED...............DISAPPOINTED? I let you fight in my name...............gave you the chance to enforce my will.............and you FAILED."

Vengeance began to pace releasing any hold he would have held on her throat if any.

"She was WEAK........................literally a child in the Force and you could not harm her.............could not even make her pause. She feared a JEDI.................a JEDI more than she did you."

He stopped in front of her.

"Did I miss something..............have the Jedi become something to be feared......................have the Sith fallen so far in my absence."

Vengeance growled.

"Have you forgotten everything I taught you? Perhaps if you had spent the time training to better yourself instead of fornicating with the enemy you would have defeated your prey."

Suddenly her breathing became difficult, she fell to her hands and knees as she gasped a hand at her throat as she listened to his first words sting right into her already damaged pride

Soon she could breath and gasped coughing violently a a she kept her head bowed letting his words sink in...was it true...was she a sith less feared that a jedi could instill such fear into that girl and cause her to flee...she looked up after she got her breath and spoke

no sir, I have not forgotten everything you have taught me. I've practiced every day repeated the code every night like a prayer before bed....i deserve nothing but whatever you give me my master

She meant the words as she bowed her head in shame....was she so weak...she was weak she had dulled that killer in her had dulled....but like a knife it could be sharpened

Vengeance growled moving away from her for a moment and pulled one of the Tactical Fighting Blade off the shelf moving back over to her. He would move to place the tip of the blade against the side of her neck.

"The code.........repeated if every night like a prayer..................a PRAYER? Tell you what you recite your precious code while I jam this sword through your throat............see what your little prayer gets you."

Vengeance would push slightly just enough to break skin.

"What did I teach you day one. The code is just words.................WORDS........sure learn it........be able to recite it if needed. But do not...........DO NOT fall victim to fanaticism and let it consume it."

He took a breath.

"Words may start.........they may even end but they do not WIN wars. Soldiers win wars. In the days that come I need soldiers and warriors capable of winning wars. Not children playing Jedi that think they are Sith."

Vengeance pulled the sword away and started pacing.

"Unless given specific instructions by me to deviate you will be permitted three hours to sleep, one hour twice a day to eat, but the rest of that time you will train................non-stop. If your arms feel like they are going to fall off you will keep training.........if your legs feel like they are going to collapse you will keep training, If your chest feels like it is going to explode you WILL KEEP TRAINING........................stop and I will kill you myself."

Shame, that was all she had brought herself, she kept her head bowed shaking on the inside, even when the blade dug into her neck some and the blood tricked she didn't move...she was ready for death if he so decided to give it to her,

When he put the guide lines down she looked up to speak then stopped nodding, she would train and train and train or seemed...she would obey his orders...if death was to come to her she would embrace it...

Vengeance took a deep breath white knuckling the sword for a minute before moving to put it back on the rack with the others. He paused when they were interrupted by the Captain announcing they were exiting Hyperspace at their destination.

"On your feet we have arrived."

He made his way towards the cockpit fully expecting her to follow even though he had not told her to. For the first time in quite a while they would be around other Sith again. Sith designed to be allies and comrades. For the first time since he had shown the One Sith his back side he would pick up another's banner. Once they arrived at the cockpit he would point out the new view port.

"Our new home."

The Captain would request and receive clearance to land as they watched. It was a beautiful sight to be hold but one they would have to take advantage of later. For the moment there were protocols to adhere to first. Once they were on solid ground He turned make to Anya.

"Stay with the ship. I have to go make nice with the locals. I will send for you when that is complete."

She stood slowly, hearing his words as she still had her head bowed, however she raised it and followed him as she looked around. Then he mentioned their new home, she blinked as her eyes betrayed the awe, the beauty was amazing...one had to realize even for what she was she still hadn't seen stuff like this...

master its...it is...it looks amazing

She said her voice betraying her as now as she looked to him and bowed

I shall remain here my master

Vengeance moved down the ramp of the freighter once it touched down. He was headed for what he would learn was the Circle chambers. Circle or Council the name did not matter the function was always the same. They made the decisions and he would need their blessing if he was going to put down roots on this planet and in a different part of the Galaxy. He would be gone for a few hours before he returned to the freighter. Stopping at the ramp he called out to Anya.

"Anya get down here now. Leave your things for now and come on."

He waited for her to appear before he continued speaking.

"Time for the tour. You are in luck and it seems either I have a few friends in the Ascendency or my enemies have decided grudges are pointless. Either way shake a leg."

Without waiting for a response he head towards what would be Anya's knew home with the other Knights in the Ascendency.

She had trained A little in those few hours, she wanted to make sure she didn't fail again and would get better..., however once he called for her she ran down and stood at attention

She listened as she, she smirked then it melted as she kept attention and followed in suit beside him a a she looked around, it had been some time since she had been around others...of her type she should say that wasn't her master

Vengeance stopped in front of a medium sized building with Knight going in and out of it in droves. He looked at her with a smirk.

"Your new quarters. From what I understand you will have three roommates but only one refresher. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good luck with that."

He gave her a minute before he moved off away from the building. They walked a few blocks away passing into what looked like a small neighborhood of single person homes. Vengeance stopped at the entrance pointing down the road.

"I have been told I will be staying in one of the homes in this neighborhood when not out on Ascendency business and before you ask no you can't come visit whenever you wish. And no you can't live on the ship."

He looked at her with a smirk before moving on to the next part of the tour.

She followed him down the road as she looked at the place, three roommates and one refresher? She didn't think this was too bad, at least there was a refresher and she hoped a comfy

She followed him again as they stopped again, she looked down the rode seeing the single person homes as he explained hed be staying there, when he mentioned that she couldn't visit whenever or live on the ship she shrugged. It wouldn't affect her at all

Vengeance moved on pointing out a few other buildings. A mess hall here, a library or two there, and then the Temple grounds themselves. At that point he stopped and turned to Anya.

"Let rest you will have to explore at your leisure should you decide to dedicate time to it our side of your training."

He paused looking up at the temple.

"Everyone here has one simple goal in mind. To be the most powerful Sith that ever roamed the Galaxy. Some here have destroyed entire worlds, slaughtered entire species towards that goal."

He looked back at her.

"You are not ready for this and you will mostly likely die here. I will not however hide in the shadows anymore trying to get you ready. That has proven to be a waste of my time and my time means more to me than your survival."

Vengeance began to walk away as he left her with one final word.

"Get settled in...........your new roommates are expecting you."

[member="Vengeance"]

She followed him As he pointed out each building, she looked at them in awe as she was amazed by such a thing, she looked back to him as he started talking to her. She started thinking...could she be powerful? Could she do such things that her name would be forever ingrained as a name to be feared a name to said and cause people to run?

However when he said she'd likely die here she looked back up with determination that shone in those yellow tainted eyes. Maybe she would and if so that was the will of the force and her fate...but she would try ever so to not she has survived for way too long to die here...she would reach for the top she wouldn't just sit and die here....

master...you say I'll die here...that in not ready *she stood tall with confidence* I won't fall here...ill prove to you im ready!

She said letting the words sink as she walked to her new hone...where others would be....
