Vengeance took a deep breath. It had been a rough and horribly disappointing couple of days. He stood in the cargo hold of the freighter looking around. Nothing had really changed. It still served as a makeshift armory with open floor space. The ship was headed not in a random vector to a random planet but to a very specific destination. One only know to Vengeance and the pilot.
He was waiting on [member="Anya Loma"] to join him. Their reconnection had hit more than a few snags but that is what happens during unplanned encounters. He had popped up in the open not so she could find him but to judge exactly how bad his enemies wanted to get at him and how far they would go. He quickly discovered the sins of his path had been forgotten. That was fine by him. He would just have to find new sins to commit. An idea that had everything to do with their current destination.

When his former Apprentice arrived it would look at her for a long moment not saying a word. He wondered what she would say and what she would do. Would she see his disappointment, would she react to it, or would she ignore it and pretend it didn't matter. She had failed to defeat an enemy but more importantly she had failed HIM.
