LFG The Return of the Knight

So.

Hello there Chaos. It's a place I've had a love hate relationship with over the years, but a place that I always fall back to when I'm craving some simple Jedi sci-fi writing. Caden especially is the character that manages to get that itch just right, he's the righteous Jedi who's not afraid to get his hands dirty. He's the courageous leader who's not afraid to go head first into a scrap and laugh when it all goes wrong. He's also cocky and arrogant.

He's me, in Jedi form.

And he's not been around, partly because I took a bit of time away from Chaos. The last time he was seen, he was being Knighted by the Silver Jedi. Then he just vanished from the galaxy one day. Honestly, it's the best story I've got to explain why he (and me) has no idea what's happened in the galaxy for the last few months. Everything seems to have gone a bit weird, Csilla seems to be dust now?

Caden is a Jedi Knight, loosely anyway. He passed his Jedi Trials accidentally as far as I can tell, but he passed them anyway. So technically he can now take students and stuff and train them in all the force magic and the lightsaber wooshing. That's a story I've never told before, it's usually me in the role of the student and someone else in the role of the master (big shouts to Okkeus Dainlei ).

So. Anyway. What am I looking for?

New people to Chaos, Experienced Writers? I'm not fussy. I just want people I've never written with before, people to introduce Caden back to the galaxy (I have a few ideas on how to bring him back) and maybe even a young Jedi who doesn't fit in anywhere whom he can take under his wing and nurture into a full on Jedi that he can be proud of.

Hiya! So this is one of a couple characters I'm trying to make use of. That said, trying to do master/apprentice stuff doesn't always work out, but at least as apprentice it can be easier if I am able to write on my own outside some of the limitations padawans/apprentices can have. Still, some kind of interaction or interactions could work. Neli is certainly more inclined to want to be light-sided, that said, she's not exactly the most skilled at things right now. And is certainly more powerful when emotional.

Things would IC be a little screwy, because Neli's mother can be protective of her safety, and loves violence. If you're ok with an IC "confrontation" with her mother, that might help a bit to explain Neli actually having more than one interaction. Though we could also just try and see how it works IC before planning anything further.

I was there when Csilla blew up, so I can tell you all about it, along with all the other crap that’s happened since you decided to take a vacation. Other than that, I dunno, adventure time?

Apologies for not getting back to anyone sooner, on a mad couple of days run at work before a long weekend. It’a sucky but it pays the bills so can’t complain aye.

Starlin Rand oh hey there. Caden may very much be making use of this eventually, especially when he actually realises that Csilla is dust instead of yknow, a planet.

Heinrich Faust , I keep seeing this come up and I’m very intrigued. Not so much as for Caden, he’s had a few very bad experiences with factions and he’s probably best not tied down anywhere, but I can’t say I won’t look into it in the future!

Neli but this appeals to me. I entirely agree that master and apprentice dynamics can suck, especially when it’s limited and you don’t mesh with the person you’re writing with. I’d certainly be interested to a couple of IC interactions and I’d very happily sit back and see where things go!

For sure! We aren't going anywhere anytime soon, so we'll be around as far as Caden goes, feel free to shoot me a PM. I have entirely too many characters, so we can probably figure some RP out.

Well that's great then! Guess it's a matter of figuring out where to try and start then, I'm ok with moving Neli around a little bit, especially given there is almost no way to avoid that as the planets I would put her on aren't currently approved. But she wouldn't be near any military areas that aren't Eternal Empire or Zweihander Union, and probably wouldn't be let near anything with too many crazy creatures. Outside of that we could work on ideas. For convenience sake, I can move her on a wider range by setting her mothers droid with her, as she trusts the droid more than she trusts most people, or almost any people right now.

Just finished up a long stint at work (three days at 12.5 hours each don't leave much time for writing when they're one after the other after the other let's put it that way) and I wanted to take the time to sit down and address everyone here individually, as this thread has had a much better turnout than I actually expected it would have. I genuinely appreciate every single one of you who's taken the time to sit down, read Caden's profile and has still come out the other side going "I wanna write with that guy".

Clearly you're all mental.

First off, Neli . I mentioned the other day (in the post that was very quickly written on my phone in the staff room) that this character appealed to me. This character very much still does, and I would be more than happy to write with you and do more with your character and let things grow organically. Discord is always the best place to reach me (GhostOfProtocol#0007) cause I tend to be active on there, especially when my phone buzzes in my pocket every time someone messages me.

Adonis Angelis IV is next on my list! There's a lot of names in the ring already, as you said, but I definitely like the concept you have behind this character. Force sensitive soldiers are basically Caden's jam, he himself being a force sensitive solider (Mando training). Eventually I can see us crossing paths, so I'll definitely keep you in mind for a time when that's suitable.

And then I saw this name, Brandyn Sal-Soren. Up until I saw you pop up, Neli was very much the front runner. Then you threw your name into the hat, a name I've heard in the grapevine. So I investigated, took a look at your character sheet and see we have a few mutual friends (Hey Teyla Sal-Soren , vouch for me plz). I genuinely don't think I've ever seen a character bio that's appealed to me more than this one, especially considering he's a child of someone Caden knows. Feel free to hit me up on Discord and we'll bounce a few ideas!

Aspen Falo, again, genuinely appreciate you throwing your name into the hat. I'll definitely keep this name down and I'm sure eventually we can find ourselves writing together and vibing together. I just made my character that is a padowan with no master. My character's name is Darthsiu.
