STRENGTHS
- HIMS: The Ruby Path is equipped with a HIMS device, allowing it to maintain its momentum upon exiting hyperspace if needed, allowing it to potentially evade any traps or ambushes that could be awaiting.
- Warmachine: The Ruby Path is an extremely well armed vessel for its size and weight class, and is capable of engaging multiple enemy vessels at once, as well as much larger vessels for short periods of time with a reasonable chance of surviving the encounter, though not necessarily winning it.
- Command and Control: The Ruby Path is capable of landing on almost any planetary surface, given enough clearance space, and deploying to serve as a forward operating base, or temporary encampment for prolonged missions away from civilization.
- Hangar: To fit all the necessary components and features Cyrus wanted, the Ruby Path does not have a hangar, requiring the ship to land or dock with any location directly for him to carry out his masters, and his own, operations across the galaxy, leaving the vessel vulnerable.
- Exposed: The primary engines of the Ruby Path are very pronounced in location and design, providing a clear target for anyone seeking to cripple the vessel.
- Power Drain: The sheer volume of components, defenses and weaponry built in to the Ruby Path prevents the vessel from engaging in any long term, pitched battles. If the ship is dragged in to a prolonged fight, it faces a serious threat of losing power to some of its weaponry and defense systems.
During his training under
Arctus Silmar
within the Sith Empire, Cyrus was introduced to the prospect of being sent on missions across both the Empire, and the wider galaxy to see his masters plans become manifest. Originally, Cyrus thought this meant that he would have to use civilian or military vessels to get him where he was going. While not against either idea, it seemed like a potential waste of time or resources to have to commandeer either. This personal debate was solved for Cyrus when, after a rather intense training session that saw his left arm broken by one of his masters more instructional moments. The Shaper presented Cyrus the Ruby Path, recently constructed by his own order, for his apprentices efforts across the galaxy. Equipped with various forms of shielding, an advanced HIMS system, and enough space aboard the vessel for half a dozen individuals to live comfortably, Cyrus was quick to make the Ruby Path his new home, moving out of his apprentice quarters on Korriban. A few of his training sessions going forward would be aboard the vessels built in training center, and Cyrus slowly began to grow accustomed to the vessel when he was finally sent on his first mission off world. With the Ruby Path under his command now, Cyrus has begun to explore the galaxy to a greater degree, and put in motion his own plans for growth and expansion.
