First Reply The Runaway

The general chatter of so much words, so much...unyielding amount of people. Time has indeed, past him by once more. The chatter of people would start to increase, those around him would speak in different tones. It was a cafe, not to far off from the hospital that the Padawan was currently near...or at the time, was running away from at the moment. Leaning to the side, he would take a small glass of wine and give it a small sip, enjoying the flavor that was indeed the finest vintage he afford on Naboo...almost flat broke.

"To find a Galaxy at a near constant economy, to crash every decade is just a pain to keep rebuilding."

Spoke the Sith Lord...well, former Sith. Being thrown out of the group does seem to put a damper on things, but so was the idea that all things were to be created was to also be destroyed. Reficite had indeed done much soul searching in the fast few decades...unlike before, he seemed not to age as quickly as before, perhaps his transfer this time was far better than before. Maybe even perfected...though the clattering of something nearby, made his head turn.

Being alive for a long time, on and off, he knew the sound of a lightsaber falling to the ground. Standing up, he placed a credit chit down to only see for the briefest of moments, a female running away. Glancing to the side for a moment, he would do a fast walk towards the nearby sewer grate and see the training saber and with a casual use of the Force, pull it up to grasp onto. With a bit of concern...and perhaps, a bit of curiosity, he would start moving towards where he had last seen the female run off towards.

"Jedi I assume...but this is not my fight."

With a glance towards a nearby waterfall, he would be met quickly with the reflection of a human staring back at himself. There was a moment of regret before starting to move a bit faster towards the location the woman was currently running towards with the training saber in hand, flipped backwards like a person preparing to stab someone with a dagger.

Following through the small cries of people did not take much. Some were staring at where the person had bumped into them. The screams, the people having yelled from the corner...it was not difficult to keep following the trail. After a while, he saw from a distance the female once more, almost collapsing onto the park bench. Watching her from a distance, he would think about how to approach this while also holding onto the very thing a Jedi was not allowed to lose.

After about half a minute of debating on what to do, watching her try to dry her eyes, he would start to approach the human girl. Each step felt of authority, every step was with determination. The steps would be purposely loud before finishing the final few steps as he slightly towered over the Jedi, eyes looking down upon her with a bit of steely determination.

"It seems rather...out of character, to lose oneself in supposed emotion. Though I think the worse offense..."

Reficite would slowly flip around the training saber, holding it with rather expert ease in his left hand. It would almost be a combat stance, if not for the small twirl to the side as it was presented as if from a Master to a Padawan, an offering of the saber itself. Speaking now in a more gentle tone, he looked upon her with red eyes but they were light in color.

"Is losing the very thing that protects and helps those around them. Why toss this? It is...unnatural for one to toss their future away."

Reficite let her vent the frustration onto the Lord, watching with soft eyes that seemed to resemble a time long lost. Slowly, he would kneel down as if in meditation before the her park bench, eyes watching as her arms start to cross.

"I am not choosing for you, nor is the future always set for oneself. I am...well, better to say I was in your shoes at one point in time."

Carefully navigating the minefield that was the question of who and Jedi, he would place the Training Saber onto the side of her park bench and speak again, having his left hand up to speak first.

"Future is not set but the pathway for what a Jedi becomes is never easy. I done my fair share of mistakes...but I do not think judging by how you are reacting, that this is normal. Tell me...what has happened?"

She noticed he did not answer her question and he talked in riddles. He sounded just like all the other Jedi with their stupid lessons and stupid robes and stupid training sessions.

“I just want to get off this planet! I’m sick of being forced to be a Jedi. I’m sick of having to go live with my aunt just because my parents are dyi…”

She felt her eyes well up with tears and blinked them back.

“Just because I have nowhere else to go. I want to go to school and be normal or join a gang or I don’t know. I just don’t want to be a frakking Jedi!”

Watching yet listening, he would kept kneeled over and let her unload onto him. It was not the first time he been considered a consular of some sort, nor is the first time he had been hit with potential objects. Thankfully, this lady did not do the later but just kept unloading her personal problems. The death of her parents made his eyes widen for a moment before letting them lower.

Death...a topic he was most familiar with, a topic he had dealt with far more than any other. There was a moment he could see the moment of corruption, the moment he could twist the dagger in just right but in the end...he could not bring himself. Something had changed in the former Sith Lord, perhaps being killed off again was a good way to change his mood...or was it perhaps, the woman he met so long ago.

"Death is not the end."

Reficite spoke with conviction, he wanted to get the attention of the potential Jedi. A Padawan or perhaps one becoming one, he needed her to perk up just a little bit. Slowly, he starts to stand up as he looked to the side for a moment to watch for a potential crowd that seemed to never come.

"We are unfortunately...far from normal. A gang will abuse and use any form of ability we have...I know it far to well, even the military does the same actions. I have lost everything...far more than once. I know what Death starts like and how Life ends like. Do you really wish to leave this planet, right now?"

It was an honest question as he looked at her, perhaps a lesson could be arranged...to perhaps, not fall down the same path as he had so long ago. To divert potentially, a person that attempts to cheat their destiny.

She was so sick of the riddles! Nobody in the Jedi just talked normally. It was just lessons and twists and riddles.

“Yea I want to leave! I just want to have my own future not be a Jedi.”

She folded her arms again and sighed.

“At least a gang would be my choice. Nobody asked me if I wanted to be abused by the Jedi. I just got shoved in the Temple and told to be one.”

"Fine, then allow me to show you a place without Jedi."

Watching her fold her arms, he would listen to her as his left eye would bleed for a short moment as the area become suddenly rather cold for a nice summers day. With a small motion of his left hand, there would be a small split into a landscape far off from any known area. The place of the Netherworld had opened up, a small portal as one would say, a glimpse into the land of the dead itself. Wiping his left eye slowly with his free hand, he would wipe the blood onto his robe.

"There is our exit...the land of the dead. We can go to...any planet you wish, long as you believe you can transverse this realm."

It was almost a scare tactic as he kept looking at her, almost like a challenge. She wanted to leave and make her own destiny, this was the chance. But the trial would not be so easy.

Reficite quietly stood there, watching the reaction that so many have given him before. Glancing to the side to ensure no one would scream in terror and run from the potential sight of literal world of the dead presented for all those to be seen.

"Yes...where people go before they traverse beyond this realm itself. To us...the Force, this is our destination."

Seeing her tears, seeing her shake, he would glance into the portal as there was a fire like cloud erupting in a small explosion inside the portal. The sound was muted on their side, but it looked to be in some forms, a place of hell itself. Glancing back forward, he speak once more as she asked if her parents could truly come to this realm.

"They do not stay as long...my assumption, they will be judged before going further. Beyond the Netherworld. There is a place beyond this...we do not know what. But as I stated before...Death, is not the end. Assuming your parents are good people...they will go beyond this realm...and not be trapped, like some I know...or be tormented with everlasting life."

Casaline Ryiah

"Many a time...sometimes as a visitor...other times, as its resident."

He let the last part sink in as he started to walk in front of the portal, his blue skin a stark contrast from the hellish landscape behind him. It became sudden how much different and unusual the person was to the Padawan and quickly, she finally asked the important question. Without hesitation, he told her with the landscape blowing sand back in the distance.

"I am what you call a Mistake. I am Lord Reficite, the Reborn. The Lord of Life and Death."

Letting the words sink in, he took one step forward as he kept standing over her. Reficite finally let his presence be fully known to her, the weight of what he could do and speak of doing around him.

"As I said...Death is not the End. Your parents...will pass on. They are not forced to wander the sands, the fires under their feet. No...they are judged...then let through. Only those who attempt to perverse the Force....to subvert its nature...those are the ones, forced to stay behind."
