Description: The Salty Gungan is an upscale eatery and late-night bar for Theed's more prominent citizens. The restaurant maintains an adult only atmosphere with positive ID required, and requires reservations 48 hours in advance to book. Formal wear is required. Open during the hours of 12:00PM to 9:00PM the restaurant serves both local delicacies as well as exotic fares from worlds around the galaxy. Be sure to ask about daily specials. Plates start at 200 credits per person. Fine wine and spirits are available by glass or bottle starting at 50 credits per glass and increasing per brand or age.

At 9:00PM the restaurant closes so that the lounge and bar may open. It is at this time that things spring to life, invigorating Theed's upscale night-life scene. Professional musicians and artists perform on a beautifully designed stage while servers tend to guests. Available for VIP access (additional fee of 7,000 credits of alcohol purchased minimum) is the lounge area. Guests will be treated to premiere service including the finest wine available, a dedicated server and hostess, access to private HoloNet for viewing of lottery, races, or other gambling events throughout the galaxy. Also included in the lounge area are two pool tables, a Pazaak table, and HoloVid theater.

History: The Salty Gungan was opened by a native man who found himself in the graces of a wealthy relative who, at the time of their death, willed away their assets, including properties to Sorthar. The man sold all but one vacant building in the heart of Theed, keeping it so that he could build his lifelong dream: A prominent, upscale restaurant and bar with all of the amenities. And that is exactly what he did. After years of planning and development, several million credits later, the once empty building became The Salty Gungan.
