- Organization Name: The Serpents of Ashla
- Classification: Organization/Religious Cult
- Affiliation: Darth Themis
- Organization Symbol: See Above
- Description: An organization consisting of among the few genuinely organized Light Side Sith Lords with specified doctrines and traditions, backed by a few legions of heavily armed mercenaries, special squads of mutated, forcibly turned Sith and mutated Jedi in the past (though this is no longer practiced on Jedi) and a not insignificant number of trained willing Light Side Sith
- Headquarters: Ashla's Platter (Militarized Praxeum)
- Domain: Other than The Militarized Praxeum There is no particular domain they lay claim to currently. Their interactions with the community are often in disguise, and their preferred method of infiltration in an area is to at first masquerade as a Jedi. When they actually control an area, they take great care to maintain both secrecy and to avoid antagnonizing the authorities or populace. Control is often done through proxy. There are no changes of banner, or official announcements once they take over a place. Only officials acting as their proxies know the truth. When an ordinary citizen does come into contact with one in the open, the experience is unsettling and filled with a strange tension, but very rarely lethal. Underlings are not punished for minor mistakes, but may be killed for exceptionally massive blunders that get many of their own killed or their superiors killed. However, such executions are extremely rare, and often expulsion and memory wipes via The Force are the first resort.
- Notable Assets: None except the Ashla's platter currently
- Hierarchy:
COBRA: Apprentice to The Bright Lord. Would be considered a Shadow Hand.
PYTHON: Light Side Sith Master, also responsible for making sure doctrine is taught correctly, tasked with overseeing very sensitive operations
Sub Groupings:
Combat Master: Masters of the Lightsaber or other weapons
Stealth Master: Master Assassin, teaches others the way to kill the Bogan followers in the very shadows they conceal themselves in.
Mage Master: Explores the mysteries of the Ashla and teaches their mutative Alkahest arts to those with the will or ability
VIPER: Light Side Sith Knight. Mid level command authority, and front line combatant
Sub Groups:
Knight of War: Focuses primarily on the use of the lightsaber and body enhancing arts with the Force. Not afraid to use it to mutate themselves for greater strength or durability
Knight Of Stealth: Strikes the opponent unawares and conducts investigations for The Serpents. Focuses on Stealth Force Powers and Assassin training
Knight of Force: Uses the Force to defeat their enemies. Often serves as diplomats
SIDEWINDER: Light Side Sith Apprentices, they learn on the go with whatever knight accepts them for training
TREE SNAKE: Military Forces such as Mercenaries or actual armed services. They enforce the will of The Serpents
CONSTRICTOR: Proxies and allies
- Membership: 7500 ( 500 actual Light Side Sith, the rest military or proxies.) Adepts join by being willing to follow the teachings of the Bright Lord and non force users and force users alike must perform an act that establishes their loyalty as above reproach, after which they are all sworn in at the same ceremony by The Bright Lord.
- Climate: Lacking the cruelty and sadism of most Sith Organizations, they foster an air of comraderie and cooperation. Treachery and backstabbing is punished severely. It is possible for two sith to become friends or lovers, but the deadly rivalries that occur in other Sith groups are severely punished. They are not afraid to call out incompetent acts, cowardice, or general stupidity in anyone, including their own. They value strength, intelligence and efficiency but not to the point it overwhelms their sense of mercy or humility in dealing with others.
- Reputation: This organization is distrusted by standard Sith and Jedi. The former and latter both considering them heretics and would be extremely hesitant to work with them. Mandalorians can be bought and any who cannot be bought or persuaded to align with are instantly wary of them.
- Curios: In ancient times they were provided with an alchemized set of black armor, an Alkahest altered Sith Sword for Adepts, and an NBC proof light exosuit for their military personnel. Nowadays they are forced to rely on more easily acquired materials until their training advances enough that they can alter equipment to their liking with The Force, with Knights relying on Cortosis-Weave durasteel armor and military provided modified shadow trooper equipment with no or false markings to obscure who they work for
- Rules:
- Code: Peace is not a Lie, but is often won with Passion. Passion for Peace gives Strength to reject The Dark. The Strength gained from rejection grants the Power to bring Peace everywhere. The Power gained grants Victory. Through that Victory, the will of the Ashla is realized.
- Beliefs: The Serpents believe in twisting the Light to one's will to achieve their goals the way a normal Sith twists the dark (But as a penalty, many of the light powers they learn cannot directly affect actual Jedi, and are more useful for engaging Sith, forcing a Light Side Sith to fight in an almost Jedi like manner when up against actual Jedi), and believe only a government where the will of the Ashla presides can survive. They however, favor ruling from behind the scenes and through proxy. Harming civilians is forbidden normally unless there is a direct strategic need--any Light Side Sith caught using a civilian in Force Experiments would be executed for example, and most of their aggression is directed toward killing Dark Sith or forcibly mutating them to their aims...though nowhere near as much as they did in the Reconstruction Era
- Goals: They seek to expand their powerbase in any functional democratic capable government , teaching adepts their ways in secret and recruiting as many soldiers as are willing to fight for them, in the hopes of founding their own nation where they can one day teach openly while still maintaining tendrils of control elsewhere. They also kill Dark Sith when possible

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Founded in the Reconstruction Era by the heretical Light Side Sith Lord Darth Themis, The Serpents of Ashla were a shadow organization dedicated to halting or at least slowing the terrible plague Themis foresaw ripping the Galaxy apart, and wished to preserve the golden age of recovery. Embedding themselves in republic aligned governments, Themis unleashed a wave of targeted assassinations of Sith and other villains, all people she foresaw as causing the Plague to turn out even worse than it did or causing it to spread faster. Themis killed or mutated even Jedi that got in the way one too many times, but the worst of her acts was always reserved for followers of the Dark.
As her campaign grew bloodier and less restrained the Jedi and their allies acted, being forced to root them out government by government in a bloody, protracted purge. Themis was cornered at her stronghold on a lost planet by an army of Jedi and military forces where nearly all of her apprentices were killed and she was imprisoned in Jedha for years by The Whill Guardians. Now in the modern Era, Themis is free and once again building up her forces for another protacted campaign against the darkness, unswayed even after all her failures. Interestingly, the Jedi that captured her originally was by perverse fate also destined to become her worst enemy...
