The Shadows That Haunt You

Kashyyyk; Ghostlands
The Ghostlands were just the base of the trees. The ground where danger resided from creatures adept at killing in the dark. It was also where the rushing waters of the great rivers and even the seas resided. Originally, he had come here to learn how to manipulate the water much as he had the air, but as time went on and he found himself more and more exhausted without getting any headway, so he took a break.

By the vast sea he relaxed in the sands, his hands behind his head and his eyes closed as he listened to the Force around him. It had been over two years since he left the Sith and joined the Jedi, and the lightsaber on his hip was clear proof of his dedication to the order. He had found the light, demolished his father's connection, and now lived in a sense of peace years back he would of called a lie.

Today was a good day.

The mission was clear for the Second Sister, an Inquisitor part of an original group dating back to the Empire of old. Sent in to hunt down surviving Jedi, or all those that proved a threat to the Emperor. It was more or less the same in this time, the Inqusitorius still belonged to the Sith, and she found herself serving a new master. Emperor Carnifex. Upon awakening in this time she was pleased to learn a new Jedi Purge was underway, and she was pleased enough to be apart of a new Inquisitorius keeping what she thought was a name. The Second Sister.

One of the first priority targets was one of the Emperor's own children. What has been dubbed as the Shadow. It was the Emperor's son, someone powerful enough to give up the way of the Sith and walk the path of the Jedi, the Emperor highlighted the name in red upon the list to show that he was of most importance for the Inquisitorius. Now it was her mission to hunt down and if not capture this enemy than elimination would suffice.

Clad in her Imperial armor, often providing protection as well as Intimidation her unique saber was attached to her back, well covered by the cape that covered her. She was alone, no Purge Troopers as back up, but she would not need such reinforcements if only her will to crush the enemy. Infiltrating Silver Space was easy, the hard part was tracking the shadow but she remained relentless in her quest.

Approaching his target, a few seeker droids floating around her. She smirked underneath her mask, the vocabulater made her tone sound more intimidating than when the mask was off as she pulled out her unique saber. The wind causing the cape to billow "Kahili Zambrano at last." She said with the ring around the hilt decreasing as the red blade ignited the ring forming into a saber guard around her hand.

Something was off. Kahlil could feel it in the Force as he rested. Slowly he got up, his hazel gaze scanning the ocean before him. He couldn't tell where it was, not until @Kana Mikasa spoke at least. A cold shiver went down his spine. He did not know this voice, but he recognized the sound of a lightsaber being turned on. He slowly stood, still not looking behind him, not yet.

"Yes, that is I. Do I know y-" The young man wanted to keep it civil, calm even. But as he turned to face the black clad warrior he knew immediately. His father had finally sent someone after him. "Ah. How does the Emperor fair?" He was trying to keep his voice civil and devoid of the fear he had started to feel, but he couldn't hide it completely. He knew what was going to happen next.

The Second Sister approached the Shadow slowly, her blade ignited with the silent hum of the saber made it clear that a confrontation was about to take place. She was eager after all to engage him, she needed the practice after centuries of sleep, and years of training. She could feel the fear from him, although he had tried to hide it, she knew that he was trained as a child of the Emperor himself, but even she herself was not like her brothers and sisters long ago, she was a new Inquisitor and she would fulfill her task. All Jedi must be dealt with.

She kept her saber close to her as the young man spoke. "The Emperor sends his regards, I have come to deal with a loose end for I am the Inquisitor." She said making her introduction to her prey, she did not waste anymore pleasantries as she moved gracefully with her saber activated, she moved in an attempt to strike his midsection taking the advantage while his guard was down. She did not want to reveal all her tricks yet, but to test him, and than toy with him. The Emperor needed him alive no doubt but not in one piece.

"His regards huh? Inquisitor.. I've never heard of the-" His voice caught in his throat as [member="Kana Mikasa "]lunged forward with her saber. Kahlil leapt back, using the Force to propel him through the air. Air that he sent for the Inquisitor. The young man brushed his had through the air, unleashing a torrent of wind to knock his foe back and make some space between them. Enough for him to pull his saber out and ignite the simple blue blade.

"We don't have to fight. I'm not your enemy."

As the Inquisitor was about ready to unleash her deadly blows with the crimson blade in her hands, she was knocked back, with a space of a few feet between them. Second Sister remained on her guard however, as dealing with a child of the Emperor would not be easy, especially that of a Jedi, she watched her foe carefully like a predator examining it's prey before going in for the kill. She gave a cruel laugh at his words, the same words that she had said herself so many times centuries ago. "Too late for that, you should have thought about that before defecting from the Emperor, now his will must be done."

She moved quickly, the cape billowing with the next steps she took. She moved elegantly, using her agility and acrobatics to her advantage, mixing her attacks up this time, with her graceful movements, she moved the single blade as if a practitioner of Makashi going for close quarter slashes across his chest, to his head if not to inflict wounds, than to push back the young Jedi and gain some footing in their duel.

"You don't have to serve him." Kahlil muttered the last words to [member="Kana Mikasa "]as she surged forward to strike him. His own lightsaber came around in smaller movements as he willingly stepped back. There was minimal effort on his part, clearly showing that he was trying to use Soresu to counter. It was the only form he actually knew after all, but it was clear how unskilled he actually was with his blade.

A loud hiss escaped him as a fresh burn appeared on his wrist from one of her strikes. The pain alone made him drop his saber as he tried to jump back and away from his assailant to the water, holding the wound with his other hand. His jump was high, aiming to get as far into the air as he could as he watched the Inquisitor with narrowed, focused eyes.

The Inquisitor keeping up the onslaught with only one blade ignited, she kept pushing him, almost laughing when he said that she didn't have to serve the Sith Emperor. Her path was forged centuries ago, it was unlikely for her to be turned away from her mission. Hunting down the Jedi was among one of her top priorties and she would see it through of course. Studying his fighting technique his emphasis was on Form III which even she knew that he had hardly any practice only staving off most of her attacks, with a few cuts here and there. She enjoyed the duel thus far but wondered if even a child of the Emperor could do so much more.

When he jumped high in the air, his gaze locking with her red visor. She reached out with her free hand, focusing on the Force. On the very power of the dark side. Her focus on her enemy. "My path was forged long ago Jedi, there is still so much you fail to understand." She said concentrating, and as if an invisible hand took hold of him, attempting to grip him with the Force and launching him towards one of the tree's. Hoping to gain the upper hand in breaking through his defenses.

Kahlil could only grit his teeth and bare with it as he felt the Force contract around him. Midair he was helpless, and quickly thrown into one of the nearby trees. There was a dull thud as his body absorbed the impact, and a gasp of pain erupted as he fell to the ground with another pained groan. His mind was swimming as he pushed himself up to his feet. Even after all the training he wasn't use to pain.

Never had been, even in the Sith.

His gaze turned back to [member="Kana Mikasa "], fully expecting her to already be launching another attack. The young man was stuck on the defensive for now.
