THE STRATEGIC INTELLIGENCE AGENCY
Dnvc3Pb.png

The SIA is the military intelligence agency of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances and the largest of the two branches overseen by Ministry of Intelligence; the governing body which regulates the Alliance's intelligence efforts. The SIA operates as part of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force to collect, analyze and report on threats to the Alliance's national security and, when necessary, conduct operations to resolve them.

Galactic Alliance law enforcement is handled by three main sects: The Strategic Intelligence Agency, Sector Rangers and the Alliance Marshals. From desk jobs to late-night doughnut stops to tracking and capturing dangerous criminals, all three do it all, upholding justice wherever the job takes them. More information on the inner hierarchy and systems of the SIA are available here.

AGENTS

The Strategic Intelligence Agency’s main asset is agents. Hailing from multiple sects within the Alliance, their affiliation is often a heavily guarded secret. Jedi shadows work within all branches they are called for, though are technically within their own Shadow Branch, and have a strange division of power — which could at times put The New Jedi Order’s Circle and the Intelligence Director at odds. While the diplomatic service division (DipSev) monitors threats within the senate, the special division (SpecDiv) serveils and collects counterintelligence. All the while (EsCon) monitors both, ensuring rogues are brought to heel.

TASK FORCE XESH

Task Force Xesh, though small, is a powerful entity within the SIA. Consisting of super-dangerous criminals previously captured, these individuals were hard to keep contained, and instead put to work in exchange for sentence reduction. They are kept loyal by the bombs placed in their necks, threatening to be detonated by the Director should they step out of line. They are often placed in the most dangerous scenarios – what do they have to lose, after all?

CONTRACTORS

Some jobs require outside talent – in such cases, individuals that aren’t a part of the official agent roster can be contacted and requested to complete missions. Contractors can be invited to work alongside agents, typically from Counter-Intelligence Division (CInt), Surveillance Division (Veil) and sometimes even auditing agents themselves when necessary to preserve the sanctity of the agency.

MARSHALS AND SECTOR RANGERS

Among those who carry out the law, the Marshals and the Sector Rangers are the most numerous. The Galactic Alliance Marshal Service is responsible for all manner of internal affairs (though the service often requires excursions outside GA borders), with headquarters on every member world, they represent the Alliance’s first line of defence against crime. On the other hand, Sector Rangers carry out their work with a more decentralized structure. Most often, they work on their own on cases of national, or international security, and their works carry them all over the galaxy in pursuit of justice.

REBELS

7E3M8wJ.png

An unofficial, highly deniable division — the self-named Rebel Alliance is a collection of former agents, soldiers, or other Alliance personnel who have officially disassociated with The Alliance's official roster. Many agents have been retired from the public record, and have no traces back to the SIA or other extensions. They work with open market weaponry to instigate unrest along and within the Iron Borders. These rebels are the first line of hope and defence to the citizens of The New Imperial Order as their new leader shifts policies and take away their liberties. Whether it be by espionage, providing military training to local militia and insurgents, spreading untraceable propaganda, or inconveniencing military targets, these individuals who are willing to remain nameless and recordless are tough, conniving, and the best of the best when it comes to upholding the tenets of democracy, liberty, freedom and the light.

WHAT'S NEXT?

MISSION FILE: MUND3T

After the Brotherhood of the Maw exploited the weaknesses of The Senate, there is no tolerance for anything that would provide fertile soil to become a breeding ground for deception.

All representatives of The Galactic Alliance and its virtues must be held to a standard. This includes auditing the senate itself, the affairs of associated companies and elected officials. This is a joint partnership between the SIA and The Marshals to uphold the standard of regulation.

In addition to taking the steps necessary to prevent another Fossk-level betrayal, the SIA's director slowly, subtly, has been making moves to shift power from the delegation of committees to the military. One of the many methods to go about this is planting agents deeply undercover within the senate itself, poised as publicly-elected politicians.

MISSION FILE: INTO THE MAW

OPERATION: HEARTSEEKER

The Brotherhood of The Maw is the galaxy's greatest threat. They burn worlds, deceive leadership, and sacrifice lives without a second thought. They must be stopped at all costs. Their strike at Coruscant was momentous, and while The Galactic Alliance relentlessly pursues The Maw, and keeps defending The Core from further attacks, they have yet to deal a blow quite as devastating. They have yet to reach the Coruscant equivalent of The Maw.

The Sith Enclave on Epoch whispers a direct route to the new Brotherhood of the Maw's homeworld. Agents rumour the location is either somewhere between O'reen or a direct travel route to Exogul. Their very existence threatens ours, and any intelligence that can be collected and delivered to equip the GADF, Senate, and Jedi to make bolder attacks, and strengthen The Alliance's borders — this is the duty of the SIA's agents.

The SIA exists for one purpose: To preserve the safety and security of The Galactic Alliance and its people. In order to do so, Agents are continuously able to access up-to-date mission directives found on the SIA Mission Board.

MISSION FILE: IXION WAKES

The New Imperial Order closed off its borders with the Galactic Alliance, and broke off all its treaties. It betrayed the mutual commitment to keeping the galaxy safe and did so during a time when the war with the Brotherhood of the Maw was at its peak. They abandoned the Alliance, their allies who spent countless lives supporting the Imperial Cause against the Sith, and have decided to go on a path that seeks only to exploit the same people they once called allies.

These actions have revealed their true colours, that they've only ever cared to further their own cause, not the good of the galaxy. All talk of bringing a better future to the galaxy were lies. The New Imperial Order only wants to devour more systems, more resources, to fuel its machine of war. A machine that is the beating heart of their Empire, an Empire focused only on destruction.

The Rebellion, then, is the Alliance's covert attempt to undermine this rampant expansionism. To preserve freedom, equality, and the Light, the Rebellion has been created to bring Freedom to the oppressed. The people whose necks the Empire keeps their heel on, the ones who were promised prosperity but were turned into cogs in their machine. Those are the people the Alliance is looking to empower, protect, and ultimately save from yet another Tyrant.

Missions range from cloak and dagger activities, sabotage, espionage, or training locals to rise up on their own —
Rebels can keep on top of ongoing missions here.
