Gwyn's Landing
The Lyyrin Mountains of Colonial Outpost Aubresh V

Karen Roberts and Grant Pherson had come to Gwyn's Landing to resolve a dispute between the Human Explorers of the Priori Limphadish, and the Cathar Warriors of the Burning Rose. Two separate groups of colonial interests who now shared a linked fate. For their wealthy mountain retreats had recently come under assualt from the dark and sinister forces that dwelled beneath the mountain.

"...Please! You must listen! If you don't resolve this dispute and come together before long? There won't be anything left of your mountain treasure to fight over anyway?"

Karen stood in the center of the Speaker's Tent. Surrounded by warm brazers and fur blankets that comforted the gathered assembly of Cathar Beastmasters.

"No human. It was the fools under the rope that summoned you to our world. We do not recognize the Priori's claim to these mountains. Our people have dwelled here for centuries. It is not our tradition to bargen with theives."

The mighty grey Cathar Champion folded his arms and bladed his eyes. Resistant to the Force Knight's counsel. Just like the rest of the Cathar congregation that had gathered in the Speaker's Tent to hear her plead her case. But it was Karen's companion who spoke up next out of turn,

"Meh. Let's forget this Karen. These old tabby cats can't see the fact of the matter even whens it's starring them right in the face. Yeah, you heard me! If you two bellyacher's don't put away your differences then it will be the mountain who claim Gwyn's Landing. Not the Cather. And not the Burning Rose."

Grant was a bold human. Strong and fierce. And his words caused Karen to relent from her persuasions.

*sigh* "...Very well. Thank you for you audience Beastmasters. I hope that the next time we speak? It will be in more peaceful times."

She bowed and the Cathar shook their heads. This dispute between tribes would not be resolved today. Grant and Karen left the warm tent and retreated outside into the cold evening of the still mountains.

"It's no use Karen. Those old cats just won't listen. It's only tradition with them. We need to go back to the Priori and tell them to try something else. Maybe buyiing them out isn't such a bad idea."

"It won't work. Gwyn's Landing is not just a shared city Grant. It's a sacred religious site to the Cathar. Attempting to simply buy portions of it would only anger the Beastmasters further."

"Well. With the attacks in the Tunnels being what they are? Neither of these colonial interests will be able to claim the place before long. They've lost three barricades already."

"I know Grant. We need to get them working together to fight whatever is down there. This squabbling has to end."

"Well. Come on. We can still make it back to the gate before nightfall. Let's talk to Kar'rayan again before we leave. She's a Cathar Priori. Maybe she can think of something we can't?"

"Agreed. She makes a good go-between. Let's head back and see if she'll help us."

"Mm. Oh. Hold on one moment. Gregoir said she was staying at the Flame Lodge. Let's drop by and buy her a drink. I'm feeling up for a little political refreshment myself."

"Indeed. Lead on. The sun is going down and I'd rather be indoors before the Night Wind hit."

Grant nodded his reply and together the Rangers headed down the bridges towards the Lodge. It was time to see who in this city they could find who was still willing to help them.

Lord Depravious stepped down from his MC-18, that was set down far enough away from the tent and the camp to not anger the locals; however, it could be seen setting down far in the distance. With each step he took another portion of the ramp extended out from the portion before it. His mask was removed from his face and with each step the air around him grew thicker; the aura from the bogan side of the force so strong around him that each moment he spent on the planet, it was as if the planet grew more sorrowful. And with each step he continued to take the dark forces below the surface of the mountain began to swirl. However, with all of this darkening and oppressive atmosphere swirling around the man his face only allowed one simple expression, a smirk that over took the right side of his lips.

His cloak as he began to walk on the planet drug along the ground, allowing residue of the ground to slowly accumulate on his fur lined cloak. As he began to walk to the tent that held the leaders of both factions he took glances around him. Processing and assessing literally everything that stood around him. Peace.. These people wanted to organize peace..? What a laughable notion, peace could never be had among two factions where blood had been spilled times before. Or even factions that hardly ever cared for each other. This darkness that moved and swirled in the mountain would over take them even if they decided to work together. They could never truly be unified, the Cathar Warriors believed that this land was theirs, then let it be theirs.

Lord Depravious stepped through to the tent to see all of the members of the hierarchy bickering, as he had expected. He slowly made his way through to a high point in the room before stepping up atop it. His stature was strong and his speech was impeccable, and the moment he spoke it was as if the force reverberated through the room in order to catch the attention of all who heard his voice. "My dear Priori and Cathari warriors, these so called talks about peace will never work. Beastmasters, what makes these.. Priori have rights to your lands?" Lord Depravious stern-ed as he spoke.. "This.. United front that has been posed to you is nothing but lies, and deceipt. United you will fall, only those who control this mountain can control its fate!" He knew how the Cathari would take to this.. With blood, and destruction.. Their people cared about nothing but their ancestral homelands, and their greed for expansion in the lands. The beastmasters through out the room began to grown angrier and angrier; however, not at Depravious.. No.. At the Priori that stood next to them in the room. Blood would be spilled today, no matter the advocate who would spill it.

The tent was calm. Though both sides of the aisle raised an eyebrow at the stranger who dared to make himself Chief amongst them. The Champion Beastmaster went first with a thunderous voice,

"Who are you fool? Speak quickly that we might have a name for your gravestone."

Depravious was bold. ...And extremely foolish. An entire city was about to descend upon him. Only humility could save him now.

Humility? Saving? Neither of which Lord Depravious had ever needed in his life when he was faced with stakes much greater than this. These people were warriors granted, but they resembled nothing of the warriors and the elite during the time of his ancient order. Ignorant brutes they all were, and some self-righteous peacekeeper could not bring down the bloodshed that was going to happen in that tent that day. There was nothing foolish about the actions of Lord Depravious, he calculated every move of that night to a t. If they were all to charge him.. So be it, they would all be slaughtered by the hundreds, leaving the dark forces to take over the entire mountain and corrupt the entire planet so far as he was concerned. But, Lord Depravious today didn't feel as though he wanted to kill all of these cat's, no.. He wanted them to destroy each other, he also didn't wish to reveal his true power the rest of the world yet, so he decided to play a bit of tricks upon them..

The Air in the room had thickened at the arrogance of the Cathari, not only from their big heads but the Bogan aura that now swelled around Lord Depravious. He merely ticked his neck backwards to look down to all of the monsters before him. Picking and choosing which one would he incite first. That one, his eyes opened wide as the force manifested itself over one of the Cathari Warriors. And that one! One of the Priori also had the force swirling around them. And through the ebb of the force illusions began to take place over their minds. Illusions of death and destruction to their people if they did not incite the battle now and incite bloodshed now. These illusions were nothing more than tricks, not a true foresight into the future; however, the power of the force used over them was strong enough to make the events seem real. The illusions showed a time in the future where if the two worked together the Evil forces that the mountain had begun to succumb to would over-take the Cathari and eventually the planet.

The illusion of the force was unique to both of the Cathari, each showed that if either the Priori or the Warriors prospered that they would be able to over-take the forces that lay within the mountain. During which time Lord Depravious simply raised a smirk to the man before speaking, "Simply a prophet of the events to come." After the illusions had faded from the two Cathari's minds and Lord Depravious had all but absorbed the force into his being the slightly corrupted Cathari spoke, "What the man speaks is true! I have seen it." For the moments coming the Cathari grew angry, each of the recently tricked Cathari began to know what they had to do. There was no hint that this new, "Prophet" was apart of the illusions for he had crafted the ebb of the force very carefully around their minds and penetrated it with the utmost eloquence of the force.

The Cathari Warrior was the first to draw his blade at charge at the Priori. Bloodshed had begun.
