The Silver Jedi Code

Alright so I have had this idea for a while, and tried to get this started when I was in the Republic but it proved too difficult and there were too many people against it.

So because you guys are awesome and I think this could really set us apart from other Jedi organisations, I thought we'd try it here.

Like I said there are many different Jedi and Light side groups on the site, and each have different warriors within. Currently our code follows that of the Old Republic era before the Great Jedi Purge in 19BBY, but I'm aware when it comes to playing Jedi we tend to forget the code and play them out as we would, which I'm not saying is a bad thing at all, as we all do it.

So my idea is this. We create our own code from scratch using previous, canon versions to assist and act as a base structure, but many of the tenets will be created by us, from our own ideas.

So to get this started(if you're keen in taking part), think about your own character, and your own personal viewpoint of the Silver Jedi Order and post some attributes, traits, emotions that you would associate with the Order, and ones that you believe your character personifies.

An example for Rasu in my mind would be, compassionate, so I feel like this personifies much of our Order, and Jedi in general, but honestly it is up to you.

Post your ideas, and I hope this will actually come to fruition.

I honestly liked your idea of making a new code to reflect the times. I am all for it and having the choice as canonically (site wise) the dark times following the plague and datawipe had things lost and the new jedi order made theirs because it wasn't a fit to the old republic.

Syn's view is mostly focused, have emotion but know when and where to display it. In a fight suppress it, in private express it. Have love and like he and Iella have shown you don't need it to be public or known to everyone it isn't for their sake it is for your own.

Matsu is very practical and expresses a pure calmness and serenity. She knows and believes that this is but the journey and the destination is death and the force. Doesn't mean she isn't caring but all life dies and the force lives on like a great river. You can divert it, your can toss a pebble into it and make a ripple but barring often times violent methods it will not stop. That is why she can be remorseful of ones she has killed but celebrate them because they have become one with the force in the end.

I'd like to help make one, but most of the creeds that I've created are more militaristic in nature. The meditation and harmony in codes is a little new to me. I can probably write one up soon, but I'd love some feedback once I write it and we can revise from there.

and well thinking about it more it isn't Matsu's view fully. To quote

"Mourn them do not, miss them to not. Luminous being are we not this crude matters."

I think what exemplifies Jedi, especially the Silver ones here is service more than anything else. Need a dispute solved before it explodes into warfare? Call 91-Jedi. Steuggling with pirates? Same response. Have a mysterious plague? Call the Jedi. Wherever and whenever beings need help, the Jedi are there to serve and protect.

Honestly, I think we could have more militaristic tenets, as our age is constantly at war, why not. Don't be shy to share both sides of Lok.

Great so far guys, keep it coming. Feel free to just brain dump ideas.
