- Maneuverability Rating: Very Low.
- Speed Rating: High
- Propulsion: Repulsorlift.
- Minimum Crew: 5. One Helmsman. 3 Engineers. One navigator.
- Optimal Crew: While there is no standardized list on how many weapons systems can be operated, the optimal crew would include a crew capable of both piloting the vehicle and manning the modular armament.
- Passenger Capacity: At most, it can hold approximately 200 men. Dependent on the cargo already aboard.
- Cargo Capacity: Very Large
- Mongrels Howl [x]: A fixture of all Sluggah’s is the 100 capacity Mongrel’s Howl, mounted on the back of the vessel. Able to martial enough firepower to soften an enemy up, before ramming head first into them.
- E-Web/Heavy Support Equipment: The Sluggah is fitted with E-Web cannons or equivalent heavy blasters mounted on the deck to allow for concerted attack, and to pepper enemies with fire.
- Thundahvelins [x]: Filled with the buggers, the Sluggah carries dozens, if not hundreds of these sticks. Typically used to throw at enemies once the Sluggah has breached the
- Grund: A large ceremonial ram, attached to the prow. Typically detachable, this piece of equipment acts as the ram, capable with speed of shattering light to medium fortifications.
- Flare Launchers: The only real anti-air system available is the flare launchers, designed to deter and confuse sophisticated munitions.
- Speaker System: Fitted with a speaker system, capable of deafening most, the Mawites enjoy screaming expletives and obscenities as they promise to make the enemy die.
STRENGTHS
- Heavy Hitter: Large and very armoured, the Sluggah is an ideal breakthrough vehicle, with it hauling enough soldiers aboard to then rush the enemy up close.
- Speed: With heavily modified engines, the Sluggah can punch to speeds previously thought impossible for a vessel of its size.
WEAKNESSES
- Rear Weapons: While the large Mongrels Howl mounted on the back of the deck is a weapon that can shoot back, it lacks any real other armaments there. Making it vulnerable to concerted flanking attacks.
- Support Needed: While it does carry an impressive armament, the Sluggah needs supporting vehicles or infantry to assist. While it on its own can be devastating.
- Anti-Air Capacity: Despite its sheer size, and the armament it holds, the Sluggah lacks sophisticated anti-air weapons systems. Making attacks by fighter craft and bombers an issue.
DESCRIPTION
The Sluggah as it’s come to be called is really just a series of luxury barges modified with a heavy armament to become a breakthrough vehicle.Found abandoned on one of the moons of the Mobus gas giant, the vehicles were quickly salvaged by the Maw Auxiliary from a firm seeking to replicate the older LO-KD57 barges. Having enslaved the engineers still close to the site, the Maw set about modifying them as flagships for the fleet of LuchsHai technical assault speeders.
In regards to upgrades the first and most apparent one is the hulls of the barges themselves. Which have been armored up with large, patch work reinforced metal plates to increase durability. Then there is the ram, easily detachable. But reinforced. The ram is by no means built with any aesthetic in mind. It’s heavily modified with spikes, and doubly reinforced, as to crush other vehicles, or smash through walls.
The armament of the Sluggah has also been improvised. While the barges allowed for some small arms to be mounted, the Sluggah now carries a full force of blasters and E-web cannons. This is complimented by the Thundahvelins, accessible from the masts, and racks found aboard the vessels. But perhaps the most powerful weapon is the Mongrels Howl. Configured in the 100 missile variety, the Howl is the most powerful armament, able to take both an anti-tank and anti-personnel role, or both dependent on loading.
This, along with upgrades and bypasses to the engine make the Sluggah a brand new weapon, fit for the marauding Auxiliary Corps who often times are savagely sent to the slaughter by their malicious masters.
