Description |
The Solania Initiative is a secret tome of information that was produced by hand following recent events that have shaken the Galaxy and kept close to the author. The book in question outlines a plan of action for the founding of an elite, clandestine force to deal with threats to the Galactic Alliance that the Galactic Alliance Defense Force and the New Jedi Order could not handle directly. The book also outlines a contingency plan if the Galactic Alliance should falter and collapse from outside and internal influences as was the case with the Confederacy of Independent Systems; establishing a means that would allow for the Galactic Alliance or successor state to establish itself in the Deep Core. |

Overview |
The Caldera Crisis began when members of the Sith Order discovered and unleashed an ancient terror that had been slumbering on the Outer Rim planet of Odacer-Faustin. With a horde of undead at their command, the Sith Order utilized this new strength to strike out in an attempt to increase their presence in the Tingel Arm and push the Galactic Alliance back towards the Core Worlds. In response, the Galactic Alliance rose, and standing alongside their allies in the New Jedi Order, took up arms to defend the worlds of Celanon and Yavin IV. In the end, Celanon stood defiant and the Galactic Alliance Defense Force and the New Jedi Order prevented the Sith Order from accessing the strategic Hydian Way and have, for the moment, prevented them from more easily accessing Alliance territory. However, while Celanon has stood, the Sith Order had overrun the defenders of Yavin IV and claimed a victory by overwhelming the defensive positions and securing a foothold on the Moon that has historical ties to the ancient Sith Lord Naga Sadow and the old Sith Empire. The fall of Yavin IV has resulted in neighboring systems ordering evacuations and repositioning their forces to further attempt to cut off the Sith Order from advancing in the Sector. This Crisis has also emboldened others to strike against the Galactic Alliance from within and along their borders as they attempt to recover from the recent Mandalorian Invasion. Amar, a planet in the Colonies Region at the border of Alliance space has requested the protection of the Galactic Alliance and has sought to join the Federal Assembly. This move towards securing their future has seen the planet become a target of pirates who are attempting to capitalize on the current Chaos and hope to strike the Night Market before the planet has fully joined the Alliance. Elsewhere, the ripples of change can be felt and the roots of chaos have further dug their way into the Galactic Alliance as it faces the specter of threats from within. The Se'n Dorrin, a radical group of Hapan Insurgents seek to tear down the Hapes Monarchy and elevate males from their status as Second-class Citizens within the Consortium using any means necessary. This has resulted in a strike against the Reef Fortress on Hapes, and the Galactic Alliance must now step into a hostage situation as the Se'n Dorrin has taken this moment to seize the moon of Relephon IV. Worst yet, whispers of an old enemy have begun to trickle in from the Outer Rim Territories, whispers of a potential successor state to the Brotherhood of the Maw. If these whispers are to be believed and a new enemy arises, the Galactic Alliance will quickly find themselves surrounded by enemies on all sides. |

HISTORICAL INFORMATION |
The book which is known as The Solania Initiative was conceived as a contingency plan based on the personal experiences of Amelia von Sorenn and as a result of the Caldera Crisis unleashed by the Sith Order. Penned by Amelia herself, the book contains the plan to establish an elite strike force that could act wholly separate from the command structure of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force and without being hindered by the red tape of the Federal Assembly and internal politics. The Solania Initiative was also conceived to provide the Galatic Alliance with a means to secure its future by establishing a secret installation within the Deep Core that would be utilized to house the collective knowledge and information of the Alliance; allowing it to rise again if it were to collapse or allow a successor state to establish itself in the Deep Core. |
