- Agile - The Songbird is a Star Yacht built for the needs and capabilities of its pilot. In the hands of Imperia - or a similarly skilled or naturally gifted individual - the Songbird is an agile vessel. Its primary means of defense is its speed - though it'll fall back on its shielding and armor as a situation calls...
- Astromech Slot - The vessel contains an internal astromech slot in which an astromech of the appropriate size can be slotted to further augment the systems of the Star Yacht - providing repairs and additional support as often seen by astromechs slotted into starfighters.
- Droid Storage Compartments - In the rear of the vessel - near the entryway - are a series of cabinets used primarily for storage. At least half of these are capable of being used to store droids of various sizes - from a small astromech to a moderately sized security droid.
- Sensor Scrambler - The Songbird is equipped with a low-grade sensor scrambler designed to confuse or otherwise scramble the equipment that would allow a starfighter or other vessel to get a lock-on onto the vessel - additionally this scrambler is used to ensure that missiles fired at the vessel are delayed or otherwise prevented from locking onto the fleeting Songbird.

- Minimal Weapons - The Songbird isn't designed to stand and fight... Rather, it is designed to flee and holds only the minimal amount of weaponry in terms of self defense of the vessel. Even these weapons are more defensive, with its forward face laser cannons meant to defend against starfighters and its ion cannons meant to defend against corvettes or vessels of similar sizes.
- Solar Sails - Often used as a secondary means of propulsion - or if the pilot is feeling in a pleasant mood and wants for slower travel - they put the vessel in the greatest danger. This is due to the time it often takes for the large sails to retract back into the vessel, leaving it open to attack and stationary for 10-15 minutes.
- Open Floor Plan - Though not an outward weakness, the vessel was designed with an open floor plan, with only the shower and refresher having a door to close - however the luxurious bathtub remains in plain view...

The Songbird is a custom Star Yacht, built specifically for Imperia Sorenn-Syrush and gifted to her upon reaching adulthood - though considering she is a clone that adulthood was reached rapidly. The vessel is lithe and nimble, tuned and designed around the enhanced reflexes and greater hand-eye coordination of its pilot, Imperia. Likewise its design was intended to showcase the wealth that her position comes with, though the need to defend the precious cargo within resulted in a focus on defense rather than offense.
For a Star Yacht it is rather heavily defended - with a focus on its defensive capabilities - predominately in terms of shielding and armor. Likewise the vessel was designed for speed, to ensure that it was more than capable of fleeing from a fight rather than standing around trading blows. Much of these systems retain redundancies or multiple power sources to ensure that they remain operational at all times. These defenses also include a Sensor Scrambler meant to aid in preventing or otherwise delaying a vessel from locking onto the Songbird as it attempts to flee - thus preventing it from being struck by a missile or torpedo.
Even its weapon systems are purely defensive (as mentioned above) - as it is outfitted with two low yield laser cannons and three ion cannons. However; its true purpose and value lay in its internal design and layout.
The Songbird is in full a luxury vessel, and it shows. With fine Laroon Wood panel floors, the center of the room is dominated by two large cylindrical aquariums filled with various aquatic lifeforms and plantforms from across the galaxy. Towards the bow of the vessel, just below the pilot's chair, is a fully equipped galley - filled with enough foodstuffs to last for a three month journey. In the aft are various storage compartments, about half of which can easily stow droids of various sizes.
About the only problem with the interior design is its open floor plan - as only the refresher and shower have doors to keep an individuals business private - where as the bathtub though remains fully open. Sleeping quarters are non-existent, rather large couches - three of them in this case - provide the sleeping areas on the Yacht.
