The Spacer and the Theif

Thinking back to the time she had spent on the salvaging vessel brought a smile to her face. She had been fond of the crew and the captain...But despite this she knew that they were all well underpayed for the work they did. She could see it in the eyes of some of the older workers whom had been stuck salvaging for decades to pay off some debt. Honestly, that was probably why her parents worked, and died for that company. The fond smile quickly moved to a less than enthusiastic frown indicating the truth of the matter. She barely had a credit to her name, having only a few thousand credits saved up.

"Uhm...Yeah!" she said enthusiastically. She immidiatley regretted it. She had already shown so much, and a person who used Kinetic communication like Alna...well she would see right through her lie.
@Alna Merrill

Alna did pick up on the deception, but she didn't call Lisa on it - after all the girl likely had her reasons for lying. Alna herself had set out on her own not much older than Lisa was, and although it'd landed her in a heap of trouble and there were a few things she wished she could take back, the experiences had made her the woman she was today. "Well, that's a pity." The Engineer sighed absently. "I just picked up one apprentice - could have used a second. Fabula and I have been all over, seeing the Galaxy and all the treasures it has to hide." She explained, putting her hands in her pockets. "Her, my husband and I."

The young Lorridian's eyes brightened at the prospect of being the apprentice to such a successful woman. It seemed almost impossible that she would have ever met Alna in this giant galaxy. What made her stick out enough to have even flirted with the idea of making Lisa her apprentice? Sure she knew how to wield a KUT, but building and designing ships? She knew nothing about that...But...was she willing to learn?

The conflict was kept deep within the teenage girl's heart. She could just leave the company she was working with. After all, she was a freelancer...Maybe she could take the pay she'd earned and just...leave? But even then, where would she put her Q3? The tiny land speeder had served her time and time again...And with no ship to put it in...Looking back up to the older Lorridian, she fumbled over her words. "Well..I mean...Uhhh." 'Just form one stupid sentence! It might be the most important one of your life!'

"If you are looking for one...I guess I could just drop the job...I mean...I'm a freelancer anyways!" A smile came to the young girl's face as she finally got the words out.

Alna listened as Lisa deliberated - in both the unsteadiness of her words, and the frustrated posture of her form. Her arms communicated Lisa's agreement before the words left her lips, which made Alna smile. How long had it been since she'd been able to see her native tongue spoken so freely? Aside from the bits and bobs she'd taught her husband, that is, but that hardly counted. She offered a warm smile and nodded, shifting her hands onto her hips, thumbs hooked into her toolbelt. "...I'm glad." Alndys said simply before offering a handshake.

"I'm headed off to the outer rim shortly - have some business to do, there." Alna explained casually. "An old cruiser in need of some tearing apart. Should be fun." She chuckled, before producing a small slip of paper from her back pocket. "...I'm docked down at the Weeto Gunta spaceport, at this location. Grab your things and meet me there. I've got plenty of space." She promised.

Lisa vigorously wrapped Alna's hand in her own, dirty gloved hands and shook up and down wildly. Maybe she didn't know how great of an opportunity she had just offered the young blonde, but the significance was not lost to Lisa and her gratitude radiated from her as if she was a bright sun. "I'll go get my things!" she said excitedly before dashing off, waving. It would be tough to tell the guys, but she needed this...It was after all, her own life, and it was just beginning!

Though the Q3 was a reliable speeder for one, it lacked any place to actually..put things, so after collecting her things and packing them onto her speeder via bindings and tape she made her way to Weeto Gunta spaceport, the land speeder,s repulsors creating a small, tiny storm of dust. She wondered what kind of ship Alna had...Being the owner of such a successful company...
