- Name: The Star Reformation of Dantooine
- Reform Type: The Star Reformation is a mass religious reformation on Dantooine caused by a mysterious discovery inside of Dantooine Military Base. A religion was formed on Dantooine some time ago called the "Star Ascendancy". This religion, which worships a demigoddess called Star, aims for the "Summit of Star", which is a state of perfection and independence for the entire galaxy. The Summit is also an astrological phenomenon. The figurehead of this religious organization calls herself "Star" and she has returned. She claims that she is a planetary demigod. Star claims she is a paragon of the planet, sent to purge the Braxant Run of its poison, corruption, and toxicity in all of its forms; to create a truly independent planet, system, and world.
- Reform Passage: Star Lord Ova Ziss is the former "Governor" of Dantooine, and he was the primary political mover of the Star Reformation on Dantooine. He created an Executive Order at the last possible moment of his rule, which formed an ecclesiastical force-religion military arm of Dantooine that has near-absolute power over all affairs in Dantooine. The Executive Order was voted on, and passed with 60% approval. Those that defied the "Constitution of Star" were summarily murdered in a variety of extremely well-timed accidents, or found themselves suddenly without a position in the Dantooine Congress. The Diarchy High Council attempted to stop this Executive Order, but at the time, they did not have the power to do so. The Diarchy High Council ejected both Ova Ziss and Lyssara Thrynn to prevent Star's influence in the Diarchy. Moreover, stopping the Executive Order could be considered religious discrimination, as the "Star Ascendancy" religion constitutes a majority of Dantooine's citizens now.
- Description: With a rage demon boiling inside of him, and with the power of his love for Nyva bringing him closer to the dark side of the force, Ova Ziss sought help from Lyssara Thrynn inside of the Dantooine Military Base. With their combined Nightsister alchemy, Nyva and Lyssara brought forward a more powerful demigoddess named Star to destroy the Rakata Rage Demon inside of Ova. Star absorbed the rage demon's power, and she was restored to her demi-godhood. However, the demigoddess Star insisted that she be permitted to remain on Dantooine and run its affairs. Furthermore, Ova Ziss's recon armor is now infested with the Spirit of Star instead. The Star Reformation began and the Summit of Star cult formed as a direct response to Star purging the Rakatan rage demon Scilio. Star intends to teach the Force to as many force-sensitives pupils as possible, and possibly to teach the entire planet of Dantooine the Force.
- Notable Figures Involved in the Reform:
-
Star - Planetary Demigodess - Worshipped by the Summit of Star.
-
Lyssara Thrynn - Star Mistress - High Priestess and the "Living Avatar" of Star the Demigod.
-
Ova Ziss - Star Lord - Governor of Dantooine - Secretary of State, Summit of Star
-
Nyva Shei - Star Mistress - Commander of the Summit of Star's "civil defense" operations.
-
Glade - Splicer and Part-Owner of Rogue Protocol, a vigilante hacking group.
- The Diarchy [Major Faction] - Turned against Dantooine when Governor Ova Ziss shot Moff Oritani of the Lost.
- The Space Wolves of Dantooine [Minor Faction] - Vigilante swoop bike group that helped convince the Blue Kaths to leave Dantooine.
- Witches of Dathomir [Minor Faction] - Balanced the reform by ensuring that Star and her Acolytes left the ancient kyber crystal mines alone; will help teach the Force to interested and suitable Dantari citizens.
- Hutt Cartel [Minor Faction] - Balanced the reform by sending pirates and other "activists" to disrupt the reclamation of the Jedi Enclave.
- Jedi Order [Legacy NPC] - Worked in the shadows to ensure that no faction claimed Dantooine and that Star would not be disturbed.
- Sith Order [Legacy NPC] - Some members attempted to locate and summon Star in secret by conquering Dantooine Military Base.
- New Imperial Order [Legacy NPC] - Some members attempted to locate and summon Star in secret by taking over the Dantooine System.
- Rebel Alliance [Legacy NPC] - Believed that Star was a sort of "good luck charm" for Jedi, and so they naively worshipped Star.
- Scilio [Legacy NPC] - A rage demon that has been destroyed and absorbed by the demi-goddess Star to bolster her force powers.
-
- Public Reception: Public reception has been incredibly mixed, with some arguing that Ova Ziss is a dictator, while other people have reluctantly accepted the Star Ascendancy because of Star's "force miracles". There is also mixed reception about Star herself, with some believing that she truly is a demigoddess, while others believe she is merely a trickster Master Witch, or even a spirit, that is using The Force to con people. The "Summit of Star" spiritual movement has seen people on Dantooine flocking to it, and even other planets wish to participate in this new religious movement.
Ancient Past of Star
Ova Ziss discovered a weathered manuscript in Dantooine Military Base. It was a registry of Witches of Dathomir kept by the government during the days of witch persecution. This "Witch of Dathomir Report" listed a woman named "Star Loffre" who used both light and dark force powers. The woman claimed to be a "timeless space witch" and "the Avatar of Perfect Order". The Sith captured Star after she attempted to enter into the military base illegally. The report says that the answers to her questions were non-sequitur, and at times she responded with what the Sith perceived to be nonsense. She was released from the military base on a "no trespassing" order. The woman was frantic and rambling throughout her interview with the Sith Lord of the base. She was thought to be delusional. No other report anywhere on Dantooine Base has recorded Star's presence.
Historical Information - The Remnants of Star's Worship - The Rebel Alliance Era
There exists historical proofs inside of Dantooine Military Base, Dantoo Town, and Garang City - all in Dantooine - that Star was once worshipped by force-users as an ancient demigoddess of protection, production, stability, and fertile fields. Statues, pottery, and stained glass structures infrequently contain depictions of the demigoddess Star...although, strangely, few seemed to notice any of these depictions until Star returned to Dantooine. One of the ways in which Star was worshipped the most was by the Rebel Alliance, when they made Dantooine Base their barracks long ago. Infrequently, it is said that Rebel soldiers could be seen holding items of significance relating to demigoddess Star - such as lockets, good luck charms, and star figurines.
Invasion of Dantooine by Joint Jedi-Sith Task Force
There are suggestions in official reports by both the Jedi and the Sith that Dantooine was attacked thirty years before the current timeline by a strike force that consisted of both Jedi and Sith. The New Imperial Order attempted to evacuate the planet, but their botched evacuation efforts left hundreds of thousands dead, and millions without a home. Many Dantari cling to beliefs about Star, saying that she could be seen fighting away both the Jedi and the Sith during the Invasion of Dantooine. Others say that Star abandoned Dantooine, to show the residents the false ways of both the Jedi and the Sith. Regardless of the reasons, Star failed to protect Dantooine alone, and this pointed to as a major reason why the Star Ascendancy religion might worship a "false idol" in Star, and that Star's powers don't seem to be as powerful as she is making them out to be. At the least, Star does not have the power to protect a planet from being bombarded or annihilated.
Star as a Celebrity
During the founding of the Dantooine Chronicle holo-news service, an anchor interviewed Star as a "new age guru", channeled by a no-name witch who possessed an important but not-spoken-about artifact. In the holo-interview, Star gave various forms of advice about accessing the basic aspects of the Force. Afterwards, the Dantooine Chronicle was forcibly censured by almost about every faction in the Galaxy. There was division for over a year about whether regular people on Dantooine ought to have access to the Force or not. Star wrote a pamphlet, "The Essence of the Force", that outlined her interpretation of the force: that every Force-capable person on the planet ought to be taught how to use it. Star became a divisive celebrity on Dantooine. Her status as a Demigoddess was dubious, but she disproved the allegations that she was "fake" by performing Force miracles. Star commanded Master-level Force and witch powers with little effort, such as by bringing a dying apple orchard from rot to a thriving state. She was also able to tame an entire pack of Kathhounds and wolves, with what seemed like little effort. Star's "miracles" are captured on a number of holotapes.
Rise of Ova Ziss - Plotting of Braxant Run Economic Route
Approximately thirty years after the Dantooine Invasion (above), mineral baron and industrialist inventor Ova Ziss became Governor of Dantooine. Although Ova did not believe in the demigoddess Star, his father Raiyan and mother Ellie did believe in Star. Ova Ziss consolidated about a dozen companies into the United Trade Authority of Dantooine, a company based in the Tingel Arm and parts of the Galactic Rim. Similar to Star's ambitions, Ova desired to rid the Braxant Run of piracy, but to do so through The Diarchy, a new grey order of Sith based out of Bastion. Ova believed that the Diarchy would be easier to deal with than either the Jedi Order or the Sith Orders / Empires. Ova Ziss decided to give his services to the Diarchy, who he perceived faction-wise as the only solution to the galaxy's corruption. Some people in the Star Ascendancy religion refer to Ova Ziss as the "Warrior of Star", whose push for positivity in the form of a swoop bike race did not go unnoticed by Star. During his tenure in the Diarchy, Ova Ziss became good friends with Nyva Shei (a sniper and healer) and Lyssara Thrynn (a Nightsister, researcher, and alchemist).
The Dantooine Recession: Piracy Wars of Dantooine
Ova Ziss, Lyssara Thrynn, Nyva Shei, DIarch Rellik, Diarch Reign, and the entirety of the Diarchy brought the full power of the military down on the pirates. A skirmish ended with the surrender of the planetary pirates, the liberation of the Jedi Enclave, and the kyber crystals being freed up to mine by Ova Ziss and the Diarchy. Campaigns to eliminate corruption and piracy began all across the planet of Dantooine. The Diarchy countered the Dark Empire at Baltizaar, preventing the Dark Empire from invading Dantooine. Ova Ziss and the Diarchy assisted with the liberation of Entralla from Imperial Remnants that controlled the planet's government. They invaded the planet of Asation to liberate the Hypergate Operation Facility from the thieving Banking Cartel. Ova developed business ties with both the Wookies and the Mandalorians on Kashyyyk, so as to have the funds to defeat the planetary pirates. Ova Ziss warned N&Z Corporation about pirates from the Hutt Cartel, who invaded the N&Z's research facilities there.
Explosive Impact - Ova Ziss vs Cord Starfall Duel - Loss of Enclave Kyber Crystals
The pirates and security forces fought frequently over "kyber crystals", which are used to make lightsabers and some types of military armaments. They are also a religious object, and some say that they are not to be owned by anyone until it has been bonded to them. The conclusion of the Planetary Piracy Wars saw Ova Ziss take on Cord Starfall, a Master Witch of Dathomir, over the fate of the kyber crystals. Ova wanted to mine and use the kyber crystals to defend Dantooine from the Dark Empire, while Cord Starfall believed that the kyber crystals are not property. Using her force lightning powers, Cord Starfall defeated Ova Ziss and then destroyed the kyber crystals in the Sayu Ni Temple Enclave. When the bonded kyber crystal in Ova's hand exploded, he was imbued with a Rakatan rage demon from the Bedlam Nebula. He received severe "force sickness", which caused Ova's personality to change. As a last resort, Cord Starfall was able to seal the rage demon inside of a set of armor - but, Ova Ziss would have to wear the armor once in a while, so that the rage demon remains sealed inside.
The Diarchy Falls to The Lost - End of Diarchist Dantooine Era
The Diarchy declared itself as a major power in the galaxy at a grand declaration ceremony. During the ceremony, however, a star cruiser appeared: it was the Empress of the Lost and most of their military! They demanded that the Diarchy surrender Bastion, Dantooine, and the entire Braxant Run to the Lost Empire. Tense diplomatic meetings ensued. Ova Ziss convinced the Empress, and commander Karl Von Strauss, that a terrorist group called "The Fifth Wing" was not operating in Bastion or in Dantooine. However, with the pernicious influence of the Fifth Wing set on the diplomacy, terrorists caused a bombardment to be called against Bastion anyways. The Lost then bombarded Bastion, which is the capital of the Diarchy. In response to the bombardment, Governor Ziss shot Moff Oritani - who represented the Lost in the Trion System - and Ova made a break for it. Ova was picked up and arrested while flying back to the Dantooine System. He was bailed out, but placed on indefinite house arrest, possibly for as long as ten years. It was at this time, during his exile in Dantooine, that Governor Ziss became "Star Lord Ova Ziss".
The Second Coming of Star: Independence of Dantooine
Ova Ziss and numerous other former Diarchists "went rogue" - most notably Glade, who brought Rogue Protocol to Dantooine in secret. While mustering a military force for an inevitable invasion, Ova had a religious experience. Lyssara, Ova, and Nyva collectively witnessed the "Second-Coming of Star" themselves, and the demigoddess appeared to the three warriors. Ova Ziss believed that Star was an intruder into the base, just as the Imperialist did so long ago. In a duel, Star killed the rage demon inside of Ova Ziss and absorbed its power for herself. Star used her force miracles, combined with the two Nightsisters, to reduce Ova's physical age by ten years. She was trying to heal Ova Ziss and prove that she is a peaceful force for Dantooine. Ova Ziss fully believed that Star was a demigoddess. Star abruptly took up residence in Dantooine Military Base and began making demands of the personnel and of Ova Ziss. Ova and the others were happy to comply with her.
Star Chooses Lyssara Thrynn as Her Worldly Avatar
Star decided to make Lyssara, who was the strongest individual in the room, into her living avatar. She did this because Lyssara was the only one who could hold her energy. She then faded into a helix-shaped force vortex. Ova and Nyva would listen to Lyssara, and Lyssara would call on Star frequently to make decisions on behalf of the planet of Dantooine. Star would only appear when Lyssara used a particular artifact. Star would also appear in-person to people who deliberately called on her for help. However, she had little patience for mockery or disrespect. Star compelled Ova Ziss to pass the "Executive Order Establishing the Constitution of Star", which gave political and economic control of Dantooine's affairs to the Summit of Star, while leaving the Diarchy to deal with the planet's military strategy.
Current Timeline: Dantooine's Struggle for Independence
Star aspires to take over the entire planet of Dantooine and then some of the planets next to it, forming the "Summit of Star". She will do this by making Dantooine an economic, religious, and cultural powerhouse in the galaxy, which is irresistible: "the jewel of the Braxant". The other planets in the Braxant Run will form the "Summit of Star" by ceding their independence, one by one, to the Star Reformation. The "Summit of Star" is an alleged constellation or astrological element in the Star Ascendancy religion, with Dantooine in its center. It is said that once the five points of the "Summit of Star" are formed, a powerful relic - both a location, and a weapon - will be revealed. Of course, this is the mythology of Star, and it may or may not be accurate. Only time will tell if this powerful artifact which motivates Star and her pupils will be found.
